After a couple visits to and weeks spent in Ireland, I decided it was one of the better places I came across to buy higher-end, traditional, non-touristy souvenirs and gifts. Many items for sale in the craft shop are made on-site by traditional artisans. Beautiful weaving such as scarves, sweaters, wraps, hats, and gloves in gorgeous colors and soft fabrics. Pottery in the traditional Mucros style with its distinct coloring and markings: platters, creamers, mugs, bowls, candlesticks. Also offered in the Craft Shop are coffee table books, jewelry, children's toys, traditional Irish fare, Irish music...you can find yourself a souvenir to treasure as well as gifts to bring home that are sure to be well-received by loved ones. Prices here are really reasonable, too, all things considered. Naturally, you can visit the Craft Shop without having to pay entry fees to the grounds!

It's kind of confusing from the outside and peering through the window, but I promise there is a whole different world up the stairs. As far as I can tell, Fado is the only one in Dingle, with antiques downstairs and a cool little art gallery upstairs. Gayle came along and put up with my wandering through Fado, both of us knowing full well that we didn't need one more thing to clutter up the house. That's rarely stopped me, and among the nicely curated offerings here, I found a little item to take home for some still undefined use.

While the upstairs 'cafeteria' was closed for the season a lovely selection of hot food was available at the bakery counter. Kudos to the chef!!! Roasted red pepper soup, chicken crumble, and ham/cheese quiche served with a tarragon chutney were all delectible and eaten with a splendid view of the mountains. We shopped until we dropped. The prices and the quality of the handwoven scarves and hats are unmatched with any other shops we visited all over south Ireland and even Dublin. I found Irish people to be so friendly and nice but this family is specially very nice and go above and beyond to leave a positive mark that brings smile to my face even thousands of miles away now that I am back home wearing their tasteful goods!

Prices seemed fair for what I have seen while in Ireland. Overall, solid little shop in Dingle!

Their prices are pretty reasonable and the person working there was nice. He was walking around the store and restocking whatever needed to be restocked. He wrapped the snow globe I bought so it was a little more protected in my suitcase which I appreciated. This is a cute place that you can quickly walk through, so I would recommend it if you're looking for decently-priced gifts for loved ones!
