When I decided to enlarge a lap quilt to a bed quilt, the ladies were helpful. We found coordinating fabrics that would work well. When I got home and cut the pieces for the quilt and ran short of one fabric, a quick phone call to the shop and my additional fabric was on the way. They have an exceptionally large selection of fabrics considering the physical size of the store. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and very knowledgeable . They know more then how to cut fabric, they know how to assist with fabrics that will blend well into your chosen project.My family knows that when we are driving through Durango, the quilt shop is a must stop for me. One has to drive a great distance to be able to look at clothing fabric. The fabrics are quite beautiful, but not suitable for what I needed, making a dress. I also found the fabrics to be very costly. However, it may be that they are of such high-quality rhey are worth it. I can't say anything about the fabrics themselves fir sewability because I did not make a purchase. The staff did everything they could to help me try to find something that I could use. They were patient and very polite and helpful.

My husband and I are traveling through Cortez and stopped to see this quilt shop. No one…read moreacknowledged our presence . No one talked to us, no one had any interest in us at all. I would have purchased something if someone cared at all if I was there. So I took my money and we left. Poor customer relations. Just sad in this day and age they can afford to ignore the bread on the table.
