I said "No, ma'am," and proceeded to walk around the store as they quietly watched me. I went out of there view in the back room for no more than 45 seconds and the owner quite literally rushed to the back just to ask me if I was "doing alright," and then said "just checking," when I responded. I understand that their business demographic is mainly women, but that doesn't mean I need to be followed around the store as if I'm stealing. As a Caribbwan-American, Im sick of being followed around and feeling like it's because of my hair and my skin. I'm even being watched as I type this in my car. Thanks a lot.

We were first attracted to the glazed pots outside because they had such a nice collection of colors. Then we walked into the greenhouse and were greeted with the heavenly fragrance of petunias from the many hanging baskets above the rows of plants. It's one of those nurseries where you can find just about any kind of plant you've been looking for. All of the plants are beautiful specimens in tip-top condition. The greenhouse adjoins another greenhouse that is decked out with very luxurious patio furniture and decor and is followed by more rows of plants to the right and the main store entrance to the left. It's absolutely gorgeous in there! We sort of explored this business in a round about way, but eventually made it to the front section of the store which is a large room nicely decorated with antiques, collectibles, and melamine dishes... all for sale! This place is pricey, I would say twice the price of what you'd pay for a comparable product elsewhere, but it was such an unexpected gem we ran across while cruising the countryside that I think it's something everyone should explore when in the area. They have a wide variety of ceramic and wood projects of all different sizes and prices that people can choose from. You sit down at a table and paint your object, maybe with help if you need it, and then leave it there for them to bake in the oven. Then you come back and get it when it's ready. I didn't think to ask how long it took I bet that it's the next day. They have just about every shade of every color you can imagine. They even have take-home kits. They are boxed up and you take them home and make your creations and then come back in for them to be baked. Is glazed the right word? I think so. The lady also said you can buy any project and the paints to go on it and take it home and create it and then bring it back in for baking.
