I have never gotten more than 2 feet in the door without someone there to offer me help. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and laid back, a Midwestern trait I appreciate. They carry a lot of traditional fabrics, reproductions, and modern fabrics as well. I bought some Moda by Sweetwater fabric there yesterday and was very happy the selection they offered. We especially try to stay away from one worker named Gail, who has been rude, sarcastic, and condescending on more than one occasion. We saw her berate a woman to the point of tears because Gail had spelled the woman's name wrong and thus could not find her in their computer! They insist that they have to put your name and phone number into their computer system every time before they will cut fabric or let you make a purchase. Checkout is a slow process whether paying cash or card. Some of the fabric is pretty, but it is expensive and the service is poor.
