Then my turn I pull up to the pump 8 to go and pay cash gave them my cash and card then they sent out my cash back telling me to go to another pump. They shut 8 down! FRUSTRATING AS IT IS TO GO AND WAIT AN ADDITION 15 or more minutes is redundant! I drove off! I feel the Stoughton BJ IS CHEAPER AND TGE CASHIER SO MUCH MORE PLEASANT! To note, BJ IN stoughton always gives me a receipt with my gas purchase YET IN ALL THE TIMES HERE GIVING CASH, not once ever did I ever get a cash receipt! That's always been a red flag to me!!!! BJ GAS SUPERVISORS NEED TO ADDRESS THAT EACH CUSTOMER SHOULD RECEIVE A CASH RECEIPT WHEN DOING A TRANSACTION - who knows if they actually puts that cash in the register! I have seen two in the booth one is playing on the phone oblivious to what's going on! Totally unacceptable and the Value here is higher than Stoughton and there are always grid lock at many times! Attempted to inflate my tires by paying $2 in quarters and the malfunctioning machine actually deflated the tire I was trying to fill! When I nicely asked for my money back, the angry cashier that worked there would not give it to me, blamed me by saying it was broken (no sign, no nothing), and told me to write the air company! Thats customer service in 2022! Yesterday stopped for gas, paid with my card, and waited for the pump to be authorized. Few minutes go by and I discover, not only is everyone else waiting, There Is no one working in the store at 9:30 am on a Friday! There was a note on the locked door that said be back in 5 minutes, yeah sure. What a joke, I'll pay extra to go elsewhere from now on.

Into this group I put owners of gas stations. Enter this Shell station in Quincy. It's on our local rotation of 3 stations where we gas up our cars. Other than being away from home, these are the only 3 places to which I go. Jack, the owner of this Shell station is a great guy. My husband got to know him first as this is the place he brings our vehicles for the annual Massachusetts inspections that are required. The gas station is big with easy in and out access from Route 3A. It is a full service gas station. I wish Massachusetts was like New Jersey in outlawing self-serve. I hate pumping gas and hate being next to bozos who are pumping their own gas while smoking cigarettes. Prices are good with a full-serve option and you get your windshields cleaned to boot. Everyone working here is polite and professional. Yesterday I got my car inspected. There are several bays so there was no wait. It took all of 10 minutes and off I went with my new sticker. I know if I had an issue with my car, Jack and his workers would appraise the situation honestly, take care of it or advise me on what I should do. I'm happy to have these caring professionals on the South Shore.

He then started walking away from me and mumbling like oh no I don't think so, but you can change it and come back then, and then literally walked away from me. I left and changed it at home with that extra bulb I had in 5 minutes. It works. TLDR: Tried to scam me for $140 for 2 minutes of work with a bulb I HAD for the change. Then scurried away when I confronted him about it. Most shops would've done it for free or like $10, especially since I had the bulb lol. Scam artist.

I had already given the cashier $50. I grabbed 26 cents from the car and expected $16 in change. When I gave the cashier the change he said "you don't like quarters?". I was surprised and just said no. He angrily said just as good as dollars. He was filling out a keno ticket and was seriously annoyed with me for giving him exact change, so he had to swap the quarters for a dollar. And I haven't seen another gas station in the town that has cheaper gas. Plus this place is super convenient and the attached car shop is extremely good to. They get you the inspection sticker without too much hassle. If you call ahead of time, they will be extremely prompt in taking care of your car. Knock on wood, I have never had any problems with my car for which i had to bring it in to the shop. But I see these guys always busy with cars. Which means they must be doing a good job. At least that's what I decipher every year when i get my inspection sticker. The shop is closed early on Sundays. And so are the gas pumps / mini mart.

For the inspection this month, my Forester-specialized headlight was out, and they ordered, delivered and installed a new one and certified the car and had me on my way in about 30 minutes. The price was at the low end of their estimate. Though this inspection location is closest to me, I wouldn't go for years because of the management, which has now changed. Hurrah!

There always seems to be spots available for filling up your tank and the pumps even have a lever, so you can go hands-free while you wait for your tank to fill up. There's also a little screen that plays weather, news etc. while you wait. The station is getting renovated and it will soon feature a small shop for coffee, baked goods and deli meats! Looking forward to that happening.

They could not simply void the charge, but they did give us a check - and major attitude. He actually said "now this is costing ME money -- $40 to write this check". Seriously??
