I wanted to wait a significant amount of time before reviewing this place because it is a health…read moreclinic, and I have never used Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) before. I am happy to say that I am now an advocate of TCM because of the issues that were solved with my visits to this clinic. I came here for two separate instances: first time for my depression, the second time for a stomach ulcer. The first time I came in about a month ago from now, trying to find an answer to why I was tired all the time, could not lose weight, and felt depressed for no reason. It had been going on for a few years at this point, and I was tired of it. I went to Dr. Song with an open mind, willing to try his way. He took my pulse, looked at my tongue, and asked me a few questions. He diagnosed me with hypothyroidism, which was causing most of the problems, and he prescribed a blend of herbal medicine. If you read on his website, it will tell you more about this. Each blend is done individually catered to the specific person's metabolism and the issue they are trying to solve. I now have been able to start losing weight, and I have also found that the hypothyroidism was due to taking BC pills for almost ten years. I am very glad that it was brought to my attention. Last weekend, I went to the urgent care clinic in Carrollton on Josey because I had been having stomach pains for the last two days. I was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer, but they told me I needed to be admitted to the ER. Working in healthcare myself, I know how expensive this was going to get, so I refused. I went to Dr. Song the next day, who confirmed it was a stomach ulcer caused by dormant growth of a bacteria called HP (very common reason for stomach ulcers) and was probably flaring up due to my recent habits of drinking a lot of black coffee. He prescribed another herbal mix. People kept telling me I would need 3 types of antibiotics to cure the stomach ulcer. The bacteria HP does not die in the stomach because it feeds on stomach acid. If I were to take antibiotics, it would also kill all of the good bacteria in my digestive system. I wanted to try it this way, because Dr. Song explained that the HP would not completely die with antibiotics but it would keep it under control for a few months or years before I had another stomach ulcer. The herbs he gave me would kill the HP for good and not harm anything else in my body. So I took the herbs. And it is a week later and I feel completely healed. Back to normal.
