Not to mention, there were youngish, hip looking people waiting to get in. So, we joined the masses and despite our broken portuguese the security lady let us in. Once we arrived at the payment counter, we specified that we had no documents and even though we couldn't give her any identification, she also let us in (with a card). One thing I've learned about Brazil is that you have to take a card (provided by the venue at the entrance) to get drinks. Then you pay for that card's total amount to exit said bar. Anyway, once we walked in there were loads of people hanging in the back outdoor area. Everyone was around 20-25 years old and it was sort of like Laguna Beach cast members, but only Brazilian. Groups of girls and guys in their afternoon's best chatting away at tables. We stayed for a few drinks and then bounced out. Great spot for fun, young thangs.

To start, we had the fresh oysters which totally trumped my previous favorites at O Catarina in Perdizes. Peixaria's are a must. We also had the muqueca and grilled fish (they have a rotation of them, served with banana farofa and pinto bean salad), and both were delicious. Nothing like a good restaurant, bar or both in the middle of a tree full plaza with average prices!…read more On Sundays, try the Brunch men: Bennedict eggs, pancakes, great coffee, tapiocas and waffles are some itens you should order. On regular days, I rather prefer the meat dishes instead of the pasta - the Aperoll Spritz is delicious and the Bloody Mary is marvellous. Also the beers are regular bar prices, so you can also have a blast with a bucket full of really cold and sweaty beers. Keep an eye on the party agenda, normally some parties take place on Saturdays and Sunday evenings - for free and fully loaded with good looking and interning people. If it's raining, try somewhere else, as the inside area is not that big. Any other day, book a table outdoors and have fun. :)
