I have been to Dr. Oscar Quintana before but never really had anything done but an exam and cleaning. Today I had fillings and sealants done. It was a lengthy process but everyone involved made sure I was well along to way and they took their time to make sure it was done correctly. Something I have never experienced prior. Before I left Dr. Quintana made sure to come in and advise me to take Advil incase my jaw would experience pain and swelling, which was so sweet, but to top off a great experience he just called to check on my pain level and bite. I highly recommend Dr. Quintana if you are looking for an experienced and thorough dentist, I have never experienced this quality of work and hospitality w a dentist before. read more

In the last two years of my family of four seeing Dr. Quintana these are concerns: -Never had a cleaning -Two appointments at your office magically disappeared although I walked in with the appointment card -Front tooth you worked on is uneven, discolored -Why a giant gold crown placed in my left upper molar and not tooth colored? -did a gum surgery WITHOUT INFORMING ME until afterward! I was in terrible pain for 3 weeks with no medication given. -sent my son to your daughter without even asking -every tooth you have worked on in all of our mouths do not feel right, are sensitive and hurt -my bite is off and my whole jaw is constantly sore -sent me to your daughter for crown lengthening and almost same thing begins. Have to do this first...wait 4 weeks...then this...wait 8 weeks...then maybe crown lengthening. -two appointments disappeared at her office too! -in two years I have never had a cleaning with you-never asked or offered! -husband went in March for cleaning was told he had 3 cavities he said lets fill them, office says schedule is full. He said I am wide open. Book me any day, any time I move July 28th. Sorry we have nothing available is what he was told. So in 5 months you have absolutely NO appointments available??? Ridiculous! I asked for a refund for the one crown I paid for over a year ago and have not received. Office calls me on June 11th says they will refund $500 which is much lower than I paid, but I'll accept it. She says, "the doctor also wants to bring you in and give you a cleaning for free." I laugh and tell her, cleanings are free with my insurance regardless and she said oh I know huh. Not only did I provide my mailing address in my written concern, I confirmed it again with her on the phone. A solid month goes by, I call again because we are moving out of the country quickly. Where's the refund? Oh, I see we are refunding you $407. Okay....now its gone down another $100? I don't know that just what it says. No where do you get a crown for $400 bucks. I paid double that. Okay, well its been a month. She verifies address AGAIN, had it wrong after all this. Next day, get a call verifying address AGAIN!! What is wrong with the competence of these people? She also tells me oh we shut down the office, check was probably sitting here whole time. Sorry not an excuse but sorry. BTW I live right across the street. He is a nice guy but he takes on way too much work that he can't handle, book or complete. I have wasted THOUSANDS of dollars and literally have to start all over. Lack of communication with customers, office and staff. Quality of work is not acceptable. There are NUMEROUS dentists in Albuquerque, I wouldn't go here. read more

Staff is friendly and courteous. Came in 30 mins prior to my check up appointment to fill out documents for my 2pm appointment. Only waited 10 mins till they called me back. Liana quickly did my xrays and made my experience phenomenal. Greeted by the owner and doctor just out of courtousity. Dr. Quintana always accommodates patients and there situations. Heather did a quick and painless hygienists exam. They are always accodamting and polite. Honestly would recommend them to anyone. Most of my family has gone to Dr. Quintana for years. I have always been treated right by Dr. Quintana, who is personable and an excellent dentist. I really like the hygienists who are associated with his office. I go for routine cleanings, as well as other dental needs. I recently had a crown done, and it couldn't be better. Dr. Quintana is a great dentist. Highly competent, super friendly, and cares enough about you to call you the evening of your procedure to check on how you're doing. Who else does that? I love my hygienist, Wanda!! She's a true rockstar in this practice. They've grown a lot over the years, and occasionally that's come with some hiccups, but nothing I couldn't work through to my satisfaction. read more

Really, please don't make statements like this without an explanation! I work in an office and I have heard people make broad statements like this with absolutely no explanation on how a person may improve. Dr Quintana is amazing but his front office staff all need to b replaced! We have been with Dr Quintana for over 20 years and recently our appointments are constantly rescheduled at the last minute. Calls are not returned and appointments are not scheduled in a timely fashion. Unfortunately do to this lack of professionalism I will be forced to find a new dentist. I sincerely hope that Dr Quintana can find quality staff to man his office because he is a wonderful dentist with and amazing dental staff. Dr. Quintana is definitely a good dentist as well as Dr. Lehigh in his office. I disagree with glen and kevin on the staffing issue, the staff has always greeted me with respect have made helpful suggestions for future appointments. The technicians and assistants were stellar in their performance and unless the Gentlemen were rude to begin with I'm going to assume that they were the problem and not the staff. I did notice that Dr. Quintana had to point out a 2 things to a young lady (which I thought was a bit nit picky) but hey it's his name on the Marquee and we all know that the one with the gold makes the rules.... I took my teenage daughter to Dr. Schneider and was very pleased. My daughter has horrible "dental anxiety" and they were amazing with her. They told er everything they were going to do before they did it and the assistants, Wanda and Milly, were fantastic and caring. They made her feel secure and confident that she could get the work done that was needed without being traumatized. I highly recommend this team as they are the best! read more

Dr. Quintana is a very nice person and seems to care about his patients. However, be very aware of his billing practices!! I paid out of pocket the full amount he had told me my treatment was going to cost before leaving his office, but 3 months later I got a bill. When I called his billing dept. they were not able to tell me what it was about!! They promised to call me back and never did. Now they sold my 'debt' to a collection agency and I have to deal with all the unnecessary trouble... read more

I want to heartfully thank Dr. Oscar Quintana for helping me out. I am from CA and was visiting ABQ. I am an emergency trauma Dr, and understand high quality, knowledgeable medicine. Overnight I had developed a dental abscess. And it hurt me so much, I felt my whole head was paralyzed. I injected lidocaine around my tooth on my own. I was directed to Dr. Oscar's office at 7 AM, who was already present and working!! We rarely see such hardworking professionals. He immediately came to me, blocked my lingual nerve, then went and blocked my inferior alveolar nerve for complete pain relief. His girls came 5 x's to check on my BP which was very high. None of them knew I was a Dr. until the end. They however treated me with courtesy, offered me food, water, and a place to rest in their busy office until my BP came down. After which he went ahead to do the surgery, draining the abscess accurately, which is not an easy task, as he had to drill through a bridge, and go into the nerve, do the root canal, go into the base of the tooth, drain the abscess, and clean and fill the space with abx. Many people choose to complain when they get bad service. I don't know what I can do besides a yelp review to thank for an excellent service I received and for other people to know of my experience. Thank you Dr. Oscar. God has given you a gift in your hands to serve humanity. Please continue your good work with your excellent staff. And also, I wish you provide some charity work for the less fortunate like I do all the time. It is all about giving it forward. Please convey my regards to your excellent staff.
