I was driving home from work one day when I saw this building that had an eye popping sign and had a really strange name. So from that first glance of Quonset Hut I had to look them up online, when I looked them up I learned they were a music store, a smoke shop, a skate shop, clothing shop, and disc golf shop. So from what I learned of the store I had to check it out for myself so I told my wife about Quonset Hut and we both came into the store to check it out. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the shop that they had a big selection of new & used records, posters of movies & bands, giant selection of incense, and a small skate shop section with skateboard decks, stickers, and skateboard needs. The guy who was working the skate shop section was named Mitch, and I have to say that Mitch was one of the coolest people I have met so far since moving to Ohio, plus he had great customer service. One of the things that made Mitch pretty awesome was his tattoo of Tic Tok who is a character from the 1985 movie Return to Oz which doesn't get enough love. You can find the smoke shop section of the store in the back of the shop. Quonset Hut has a massive selection of smoke pipes, grinders, bongs, and pretty much everything you need for your smoking needs. The last part of Quonset Hut that I looked at was the disc golf section, which had all your Disc Golf needs. I don't know much about Disc Golf but the staff was very knowledgeable. My wife thought Quonset Hut was pretty epic as well, she was helped by Haley who was very friendly, quite knowledgeable about all the smoke shop had to offer. My wife got herself a brand new bong and she got herself a custom Oogie boogie pipe, which she loves so freaking much. Everything inside Quonset Hut is reasonably priced, you will not break the bank shopping at Quonset Hut. If you make you way to Quonset Hut right now they are having a 50% off Summer Sale. I got a brand new Thrasher snapback hat with an Alien on it and the Thrasher logo on the side, I am a huge snapback hat guy. My collection of snapbacks is almost 40 hats strong. So if you are ever driving through Canton Ohio you really need to check out Quonset Hut, it's a shop of many wonders that has been serving up its patrons since 1969. read more

Loooove this place. My mom used to go here back in the 90s and when I started getting into nostalgic 80s/90s stuff, she recommended I go here. That was 5 years ago, and I'm still a regular visitor. Staff is very chill and friendly, and the overall atmosphere is great. Only criticism is the incense that's lit does trigger my allergies but it's not a huge deal. If you're looking for hippie/grunge stuff at an affordable price, this is your spot. I owe my impeccably decorated freshman dorm room to this place. read more

A RUDE ass employee was going around snapping on anyone yesterday who didn't have their mask on "perfectly". Mine kept falling down only Bc my glasses push it down but she watched me struggle to keep it up as I pulled it up multiple times til she yelled at me. Then I watched her get shitty with other customers (who have asthma and was having a hard time breathing) til the customer finally snapped back, which I'm glad because the employee was super rude and talking down on everyone. Me and multiple other customers left, only because if she would have just asked nicely and calmly me and the other customers that walked out wouldn't have been so upset. And even after the customer told her she was having a hard time breathing the employee STILL tried to argue with her and make her feel bad. I've never gone into a business and felt so uncomfortable because of the way an employee was behaving. read more

Been going here for smoking needs two years excellent up to this point. This guy in the store must be a horrible guy Josh might be Steve. This guy was literally screaming at me. I showed two people my card going in then he asked for a third time. I said gotta be shittin me dude. He said that cussing better not be directed at me or where gonna have major problems. Then after I showed him the card I said you just want me to leave if you have such an issue with me. He said FINE BY ME. WHAT KIND OF BUISNESS IF THIS I WAS GOING TO SPEND MY HARD EARNES MONEY THERE treating and speaking to a customer like that. customer service or whatever they do just the unprofessional and attitude towards theirs customers. Most unprofessional place hands down. Then when I asked for him name to get his manager he wouldn't give me his name said it was none of my buisness I had to ask another worker for his name. On top of that the manager offered a return on product nothing to make the experience better or make up for her incompetent or literally screaming employee. What's that say about your management, definitely nothing positive. This place is trash and sooo over priced.don't go there so many better smoke shops. Just search em google maps there about 3 in the canton area that are better than this shit hole. And more importantly the quality of prices glass etc is better at the other shops.I also read another post with here I agree with. Besides being rude the employees here always act like you are bothering them or getting in their way. Very snotty and stuck up for supposing to be such a laid back place. I had been a customer for 2 years and after this yesterday you idiots lost the entirety of my business for the remaining time we have on earth. Oh, how I needed this visit to this hippie mecca(should I capitalize that?). Been feeling very anti-Ohio of late. All my "friends" have moved away, I hate my job and stupid LeTraitor is back. Never been more tempted to pack it up and leave in my life. As a lifelong resident of northeast Ohio, I've had my fill. Everything cool from my 20's is gone. Good college radio, the Ghoul, and oh yeah, the Quonset Huts in Parma and Akron. But there survives a shred of that former coolness. And it sits unassumingly on Cleveland road in Canton. Dog and I set out down the highway in search of adventure. Ended up in Alliance/Mount Union. Uhhhhh, not great. But I remembered that the last standing Quonset(maybe the original, not sure) was nearby. I went to the Parma spot ALOT. It had everything. Records, incense, posters, clothes, curios and yeah pipes. It always felt like a California hippie refuge from the gruesome rust coated hell of Cleveland for me. Sure, there were other headshops. But they all seemed fake. This one had such an authentic west coast 60's vibe to it. Needless to say, when it closed I was pretty bummed man. I was happiest in life in my early 20's. No bills, friends all around, adventures to be had. In my mid to late 30's I see nothing but boredom and isolation. Being in a space that even remotely recaptured that magical time was heartwarming. I felt 20 again. Even without my patented long hair. I snatched up loads of incense, an eastern trinket, and a last minute purchase, a Q hut sticker. Didn't go downstairs to browse the pipes as I don't partake. Weird, huh? It struck me funny how half the country is legalizing pot, but in Ohio you have to be 18 to look at glass. We've always been five steps behind the rest of the universe. Hence my desire to pack up and leave. Whatever. It was a sight for sore eyes. The records are gone, but that's ok. Though I did buy some of my most killer vinyl at the old shops. It was a little piece of Haight Ashbury that renewed my old carefree self. Thank you Quonset employees and owner for keeping that amazing 60's spirit alive some 50 years after the fact. I love you. read more

This is my go to smokeshop, everything you could need is here. The gift shop upstairs is full of hippie items that i always like to look at, incense, clothing, salt lamps, pendants, candles, etc. They also have a lot of disc golf materials there too. Downstairs is where the smokeshop is, very nice glass, vapes, and all the essentials for those who really love to smoke or vape. The staff at Quonset Hut is the best, very helpful and nice. Everytime i go in there it feels so nice to be around such positive energy. read more

Shame on people who think music stores are passe. The upstairs of Quonset Hut is like one giant hippie den and the downstairs is like Grandma's basement with its creaky steps and stone walls. You can find a good mix of new and used CDs from well-known and obscure artists. There is always incense burning...you get the picture. Check it out. read more

This place is the best for many reasons. Awesome birthday cards, funny bumper stickers, posters, incense, tobacco products, an adult section lol, and now best of all they're selling HALO brand EJUICE! thank you Quonset hut for supporting this amazing company, I hate running out waiting for a shipment or spending extra for expedited shipping when I'm low and now I can always just drive up and get what I need. I wish you guys would stock more often and would carry all of their flavors but I'm sure it's not a major part of your business so it's understandable and you usually have the juice I'm looking for or one I do like if not the one I was after. They even have an old timey soda machine upstairs that's only 40 cents a can. I like everything about this place and the staff have always been friendly and nice and will usually talk to you while you browse instead of a "buy your crap and leave" attitude.
