This was on my list of coffee places to go to. I'm not a huge coffee person; I generally like my lattes sweet but this was one of the best lattes I've had. There is limited seating outside. It was rainy so I got my latte to go. The barista makes your drink once you order and then you pay as they hand you your drink. So the line does move a little slow. Latte (60 mxn) was super smooth. This was my absolute fave coffee shop in the Condessa area. The baristas are really friendly. The pastries are divine - they order from a really popular pastry shop down the street. I love the ambiance and the space. No details have been spared when it came to making this serene space happen. There is seating available outdoors but for my first visit - I opted to sit in the back so I can take everything in. And of course, the coffee they serve is superb. I'll admit that I wish Qūentin had more options on the menu. However, that's not to say that the items they do have are not delicious. In fact, the matcha latte was one of the best I've ever had, and the pastries were equally delectable. Unfortunately, I never got to try the concha in matcha flavor as it always seemed to be sold out. The staff at Qūentin are friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. As heavy as the expat presence in Condesa is, it's at a whole other level at this place. A cafe/bar that thankfully does serve coffee until the evening. Barista and service are friendly and able to help in English but aren't as extravagant in their coffee enthusiasm and wish to please as some other cafes I've been to. Got a washed coffee from Oaxaca that was pretty solid. Pear was the most recognizable note for me although it wasn't the super high clarity, tea like coffee that is my usual gold standard. I didn't order any but a potentially big asset of this place compared to other cafes is that they also serve properly cooked food and cocktails in addition to their solid coffee program. I don't really think it's worth going out of your way to try this place as a cafe but as a brunch spot, it seems pretty perfect. read more

Coffee shop cum roaster does an encore in Mexico City, opening in nearby La Condesa to now have representation in two of the city's hippest neighborhoods. Here, expect a deeper study in space design, a more spacious area and more of a wine bar vibe. What will most probably become a stalwart in this caffeine-needy area of La Condesa, Qūentin opens up shop with a near identical menu from the Roma shop, looking to satisfy thirsty hipsters everywhere. The design is minimal and modern, a black matte La Marzocco Linea serving dually as part of the decor and workflow, along with a functional and beautifully organized small food prep area. The shop is both spacious but cozy and narrow. The space lends itself as a coffee shop in the daylight and a wine bar as the former starts to fade. Expect more of near dexterously made coffee, beautiful pastries and cool and hip young locals and foreigners hanging out at the space. As for me, I'll see where in the world is the next place I'll stumble upon a semi-new Qūentin coffeeshop as this mini coffee chain continues to grow. read more
