Came to try the churros - it was ok. Just checked off of my list to try food in Mexico City during our trip in March. Went after dinner, there was a line but went by quick. Enough seats inside and out. Menu was pretty straightforward. Wish i tried some drinks but was too full already.
The churros were freshly made. The dipping sauces are purchased separately from your churros and they are in plastic so not like a bakery in Spain where you usually get it in a small coffee cup to dip your churros. The service was good. We did get confused because if you sit down a waitress will come help you or you can wait in line and then sit down and eat your churros. The ambiance was clean with seating inside and outside.
Churreria El Moro is a churro and hot chocolate shop located in Mexico City. They have multiple locations throughout the Mexico City area and even have some in California (Los Angeles and Costa Mesa). This location is across the street from Parque Mexico with some indoor seating. We ordered the churro ($16 MXN) and the consuelitos ($85). The churro was a little too well done for my liking and was more crunchy than soft. The consuelitos were a group of three ice cream sandwiches with default flavors but you can still choose which ones you like. They were good to sample but they melted fast. Their first location is in Centro Historico which is interestingly open 24 hours a day.
We tried another one of their locations, which apparently was the original one, and this one was far better. Not only the staff were more friendly but the churros themselves were better and the ice cream was excellent. It's a small place but there is some outside seating that helps or get it to go and head to the park across the street. The only silly thing is the line to purchase and then the line to pick up. If you walk in and there is a line, go to the left as the ordering line is much shorter.
A must-try if visiting Mexico City! It was super easy and quick to order. We recommend getting the hot chocolate and the dipping sauces. The churros are delicious and still warm when you order them. Everyone who we interacted with really nice. We will definitely be back!
One of the places I had on my bus list while visiting Mexico City churros were delicious. Service was fast vibes were super cool definitely a must try. JB approved!!
Churrería El Moro is a popular chain in La Ciudad de México. Glad I tried it, but I think it is a one and done type of spot. Loaded with lost of tourists, it gives major amusement park energy and chaos. The menu itself is simple to order, go for the original. Their churros are long and crispy. Not too sweet and you can opt for extra dipping sauces or other sugar coated flavors. Take it to go and walk around Condesa like a true extranjero. OR you can visit other churreria locations across the greater area. Staff work fast and hard. And expect to be waiting in line with other tourists, kids, and large tour groups!
El Moro is a classic since 1935 and a must hit in MX City. My friend dared me to post this picture of him enjoying his churros. Never dare me to do anything... Please come and create your own adventure.

I mean, YUM. This is a MUST try when you are in Mexico City. They have so many locations each with a super cute vibe, and the history behind the businesses is cool. The lines move quick and the churros and FRESH. The best churro I've ever had.
Churros were good despite us not getting the freshly cooked ones. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. We had the Mexican hot chocolate which was light and airy! The sauces were good as well. Service was friendly although a bit absent as there was only one server, interior was clean, and street parking.

Big indoor space along with limited outdoor space however you get a nice big park outside where you can walk off the excess calories you consumed. Limited street parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: We came here on a Friday night and was craving some churros. Fortunately there's a Churrerria (place that specializes in churros) nearby us and we walked in. It was packed for a Friday night, however the line moved quickly. Inside was hot with no AC so be prepared for that. Otherwise, it's cooler to stand outside with Parque Mexico and all it's green lushness. We got the 3 consuelitos which is churro ice cream sandwiches. They looked vibey, but eating wise, it was meh. The churros are too small and round and they didn't have the same aura as a regular straw churro. Ice cream was alright. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done was around 100 MXN for the three churro consuelitos. Very delicious, however if I were to revisit, I'd just go for the churros.
I came here for the experience while traveling to CDMX. The churros were delicious and fresh and the hot chocolate was good too. I ordered the pa mage which was too much for just one person. The whip cream came with whip cream and marshmallows. I could have done without that and without a dipping sauce for the churro. It made it hard to eat. The service was great, the place was clean and the views were beautiful. I would definitely come back.

I came here for the experience while traveling to CDMX. The churros were delicious and fresh and the hot chocolate was good too. I ordered the pa mage which was too much for just one person. Churros were decent and hot and fresh though a little bit thick and a bit sweet for my liking. Just be aware if you get 4, they are really long and are a large quantity! You could probably get 1 churro per person or share 1 and that would be sufficient. Still worth trying and a popular spot in Mexico City. We also got a hot chocolate that was pretty good. read more

Yummy treat . Service is fast . There's two lines one for ordering and pick up. Sit down is available. Open late. Mostly trendy but churros are always a delicious treat that you should try. Stay for the vibe and the people watch. A few blocks away trendy taco spot Orinoco that u probably will try, so grab that churro! These are crunchy not soft in the inside so Ask for a fresh one I recommend with guava or condensed milk dip. read more
I'll start by admitting I may have made some rookie mistakes here: A) I got the very last pieces at the bottom of the batch that had been sitting out for who knows how long. There was a guy in front of me that insisted I go before him. I thought he was being nice, but in retrospect I think he was waiting for the next batch. B) We walked 15 minutes back to the hotel before we dug in. So I think a combo of A and B resulted in cold, hard churros. The dipping sauces didn't add much to them either. Lesson learned: I would give them another try if I knew they're fresh and I'm eating them right away. Otherwise, don't bother...the next morning they were even worse. Basically inedible and we tossed them. read more

Make sure you come here when the cafe is not empty! The churros are way better fresh so you don't want them to be left sitting around/ cold. We tried el Moro three times and unfortunately the first time was disappointing as the cafe was empty and the churro has clearly been sitting for a bit. We decided to give it another chance and the fresh churro is definitely way better. Each churro is pretty big so two people can easily share one churro. I also recommend getting the dip to go with it! read more

OMG, best churros ever! I'm usually not a big fan of churros, but since Mexico is known for them, I decided to give this place a try. When I went in the evening, there was a line inside the shop, and many people were buying large batches of churros. They had two flavors: cinnamon and white sugar. I went with cinnamon. Watching the kitchen staff expertly make the churros was impressive, and the freshly made, warm churros were so good! If you visit, I highly recommend eating them right after buying for the best experience! read more

Burnt churros and old cafe de olla that tasted stale. Expensive and not good. Avoid it. The chocolate sauce was in a plastic resealed container. You are better off with a churro from Costco. This place is disgusting. read more
Legendary Mexico City churros since 1935. Definitely some of the freshest and best churros on the planet! I've had churros at the most famous place in Madrid and several other countries and these rate at the top; so fresh and amazing. You can watch them being made through the window. Super cordial and nice service. They offer table service or you can order at the indoor window and take your churros to a table. All kinds of dipping sauces, milk shakes (I tried the special fresh strawberry shake as a combo with 4 churros), Mexican hot chocolate (hot or iced!) and the churros can come with sugar or cinnamon sugar (or you can request a mixed bag). They have indoor seating and it's very clean and with a fun vibe, all in white. But I really love the outdoor seating and it's in a beautiful part of the city with lots of greenery and trees. Totally recommended for a visit to CDMX! read more
El Moro has such a great vibe! I did plenty of research before coming, and while the churros themselves weren't anything extraordinary, the experience made it worth. We sat outside dipping our churros into the "Mexicano" hot chocolate. Now that was the real star--thick, rich, and clearly not made with just water. One cup was plenty for the four of us to sip and dip. read more
Worth the wait and maybe getting one additional churro for the road. These churros are crispy and light yet somehow still fluffy in the middle. Probably the best churro I've ever had! What really wowed me with this churro was it was greasy in the bag but didn't feel oily at all! Would love to come back and try the specialty flavors! read more

Not worth the hype. The churros were okay but also had an oil taste to them. I will say the hot chocolate was great though if you go on a hot night. There was a small line when I went and the space was extremely packed but everyone was nice. read more

Family vacay stop at El Moro. Churro recién hecho = win. Staff súper amable; nos sugirieron la torta de pata en mole. Grande y deliciosa. Café de olla tasty, pero un poco dulce después de media taza. Vale la pena. read more
Churros! Who doesn't love them? But churros freshly made, rolled in sugar, and potentially made into a mango ice cream sandwich, that's a whole other story. This cute and aesthetically pleasing cafe is worth a try. Service could use a smile and some fine tuning, but hey, the churros made up for it! read more

I'm from Los Angeles and El Moro fell short of impressing me. My girl hype it up but she just doesn't know! Granted, she eats healthy so any sugar she gets excited about and thinks it's good, god bless her soul! On the other hand I am a 300 lbs man who enjoys his treats and and has experience in eating pastries! And this place didn't cut it for me! What I do recommend, is the hot chocolate and the Jamaica drinks. Ambiance was 8 of 10! They allow smoking which is the reason I docked the 2 points. read more

The churros are really delicious. They're light, crispy and freshly fried. I paired mine with the sweetened condensed milk dipping sauce. It was great. The staff was really friendly too. High recommended. read more
Take a gorgeous walk through the gardens of Condesa neighborhood to get to this El Moro location. The churros were hot, sugary and cinnamon-y, but the chocolate and duce de leche sauces were just meh for me. The hot chocolate had been overcooked and the scorched bits ended up in my to-go cup. It was hard to tell if it was a great tasting hot chocolate to begin with. Just then, a local churro vendor walked by carrying a stack of churros on their head and I briefly entertained chasing after them to compare for this review. I shall conduct more churro research on my next trip to CDMX. read more
