My fiancé and I found this company while we were searching for destination wedding planning. We had to cancel our wedding because hurricane Irma destroyed our wedding venue. Shannon Perez and her team were supposed to be our wedding planners. They were supposed to take care of our ceremony (which we paid $5076.84 + the $1200 retainer fee) which included but was not limited to flowers, aisle decor, bouquets, photography, videography, favors, music, officiant, etc. etc. Since we are from Chicago, we were unable to reschedule and relocate our destination wedding for over 100 out of town guests. We tried numerous times to get a refund from Shannon Perez and Simply in Love but she mentioned she would "only entertain the idea of a refund if another couple booked our cancelled date." (Which was less than two months away at the time.) We had also messaged Shannon and her team before the hurricane, concerned about making our payment because of the severity of the storm. She responded after the hurricane and after she processed the payment saying "We made it through the storm!! The beaches are fine and your wedding is still on schedule for November 11th :)" (not true. they weren't fine. They were a mess- we checked.) We were originally booked for "the dream" package for our wedding. Since our wedding was cancelled due to damages sustained from the hurricane, Shannon Perez and her team did not perform our November 11th wedding in Cocoa Beach, Florida. We did not receive any of the services from her or her team. We also tried to contact the bank for help with this matter. Shannon Perez (owner/ founder/ planner) of Simply in Love is trying to keep the $5,076.84 without performing any of the services. WHAT A SCAM! PAID $6276 and got nothing out of it!
