R and J Ballroom was founded with a simple goal: to create a welcoming space where people could learn to dance, connect, and feel supported. We opened in Canton, Ohio with the belief that dance should be fun, social, and accessible to everyone—regardless of age, experience, or goals. Our studio has grown into a vibrant community, offering group classes, private lessons, dance parties, and more. We’re proud to have instructors and students with national and world titles, but even prouder of the inclusive, uplifting environment we’ve built. Meet the Business Owner: Jonathan G.

Hi! We're the co-owners of R and J Ballroom—Rachel Green and Jonathan Green. We met through ballroom dance and became professional partners, winning multiple Rising Star titles together at top competitions like the New York Dance Festival, Atlanta Open, and Ohio Star Ball. Rachel has been teaching for over 20 years and is known throughout the industry for her depth of knowledge and warmth. Jonathan has also had the honor of coaching students to national and world titles. Since retiring from the competitive floor, we’ve worked hard to create a community where dancers of all kinds—social, competitive, performers, and beyond—can come together, support each other, and enjoy their unique dance journeys.
