I've had instances with Bob in the past where I was taken aback by how rude, confrontational and irrational he was but I certainly didn't think that he would be that way to my poor wife. It appeared that 2 or 3 people there could actually make sense of what was said and interacted with the speaker. However, they could have been "plants" just to make it seem that someone was getting something out of it. The speaker spoke continuously and way too fast. The majority of people in attendance just shook their heads and walked away in disbelief. I have a suspicion it was just a way to gather information to use or to sell for other marketing purposes.
