Very tasty burger. Not a fan of food trucks but I will eat at this one anytime. Have not tried their brick and mortar place

Haven't had the food truck, but I did go to their brick and mortar on Person Street. Not sure why, but people just kept staring while we walked in and grabbed our seat. Almost didn't feel welcomed, it definitely set the vibe off. I mean, service was good, they answered any questions we had. The burger and fries was tasty. Burger was a little bit smaller than I anticipated, but it still packed flavor. I enjoyed the variety in their menu and I specifically loved their in-house made ranch. Lots of comfortable seating indoors, but I might just try the food truck next time. read more

Visitor review! I visited the R Burger food truck at the Truck Stop location. The whole place was such a cool vibe, super inviting & a chill joint to drink, hangout, eat good food, play games & have an overall good time. The service was great & the food was ready quickly! R Burger is really just okay. The fries were good. I'm so sorry to say it was just okay. I ordered two burgers because I'm greedy.. the famous bleu burger and then the Carolina burger. The Carolina burger was better IMO. But for non-chain smash burgers Robertson's and Archway are better. read more

First time visiting here. They were nice! They were organized, they gave guests buzzers so you know when your order is ready. I've never experienced that from a food truck, but I liked it. They took our order fast and cooked it up fast as well. Wish they were located in a better size and quality parking lot than the flower shop one but over all good experience. The food was delicious. The fries remind me of 5 guys. The burger was delicious as well, flavor in every bite. I love ranch and their homemade ranch was FIRE. Will definitely be back and would recommend. read more

It's a simple burger, rich and meaty with grilled onions and a twang from the pimento cheese and mustard. I added the lettuce and pickles to cut the richness a bit. The fries are nice and crispy. The ranch is super yummy. Ranch sauce lovers, must try. You can't have this burger once. You have to try it once more. read more

Tried R Burger for the first time this week and overall it's a good place. I had the Carolina burger. Everything was really good about it except for the slaw. It was rough cut as opposed to the typical fine chop, and it wasn't a good flavor either. To be honest, it took what was a really good burger down several notches. The fries were really good. So this was my third trip to their brick and mortar site by the Cape Fear River Bridge. I always judge a burger joint by the basic Carolina Burger. The first two times I visited, I ordered it with fries and a Coke. Consistency was there, but the slaw does not do this burger justice. It is shredded instead of minced slaw, which 99% of Carolina Burgers and dogs are made with. The slaw gives it a very salty taste. Regarding the meat, it is tender, juicy, favorable. Today I tried the B&B Burger which is bacon and Bleu cheese. It was okay, a tad on the dry side with the meat. Finally, the fries are way too greasy for me. They are shriveled up with grease and have that too many times used oil taste. read more

Holy cow... ate the bacon cheeseburger ranch at the Sunday event located at Dirt Bag Ale... hands down a top 5 best burgers... the fries are hand cut and the best... and the ranch they use is their own... nice thick hearty style... all combined it's one of the best burger meals I've eaten. Cool! I have always been amazed by the food truck craze as I travel around the U.S. for work. Tonight I came home to a dinner of quality burgers and dogs that had been purchased from R Burger....a food truck in Fayetteville, NC! Equally cool was that this business was sharing some of their proceeds this evening with the school my boys attend. The food was very good. True Carolina style hamburgers, super chili dogs and home cut fries. These may not be on my diet but they were certainly worth the cheat. My only regret is that I didn't take pictures of our food to post on this Yelp. It all just looked so good that no one could wait for pictures. Burgers so good you will trip, fall and sprain your wrist in a hurry to get back to the office with your food. Yep, I literally saw this happen. Poor Greg. So there we were, crossing over the railroad tracks on our way back to the office from where the R Burger Truck was parked at Bell's Seed Store when Greg makes the comment that it sure smells good and he couldn't wait to get back. As we're coasting up the sidewalk at a might good rate talking about an upcoming camping trip......BURGER DOWN! Greg trips over a raised portion of the sidewalk and lands on his wrist. Okay, it's funny now but wasn't at the time. He was in some serious pain, but he did manage to reach out and grab the bag containing his burger and fries before he got to his feet. I offered to carry it for him but that wasn't happening. Okay, the food. I ordered the Milwaukee Dog with Fries with a side of a Carolina Burger. It was beyond awesome. The burger was perfect with two super hot patties, homemade and super fresh slaw, topped off with slightly chilled onions. You couldn't ask for a better combo. I think, showing my age here, that this was what McDonald's was trying for when they offered their McD-LT back in the 80s. Well, McDonalds didn't get it but R BURGER sure did. The burger was a masterpiece. The Dog was so good I am thinking about going to Milwaukee on vacation. Perfect Sour Kraut that wasn't watery with perfectly grill onions and the right amount of mustard. Gosh, my mouth is watering again. The fries, were seasoned to perfection as well but I could only eat a third of them as I was so full. I'm going to be following the truck for a long time to come. I'm looking forward to tracking them down when I'm with the wife and rugrats so they can get the experience. If you see them, stop. Don't cause an accident but stop and get yourself a burger or dog. We had to respect that they parked across from one of our favorite burger chains (I was worried we'd made a mistake). What we received was the best, tastiest, most juicy delicious mess I've had the pleasure of consuming in a great while. Yummy burgers! My roommate found this little food truck, and we decided to go venturing. I had the southern style burger, and it was very tasty. It reminded me of the old flat top burgers with the crisp, caramelized edges and juicy inside. Pimento cheese was nicely balanced. The only thing that kept this place from all fives was the French fries. While I appreciate that they make their own fries, I enjoy a crispier outside. Personal preference. The Southern Burger, complete with homemade pimento cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and added jalapeños was a fantastic choice. Amazing. I was advised to get 2 burgers on my first order and I'm glad I did. People in line were like, "Wow, you're going to eat two?" And I was like, "I was advised to get two, and that's what I'll do." As soon as I was finished with my first burger, my mouth was watering for the second. The hot dog's are Nathan's -- which I'm uninterested in because Nathan's is kind of old hat for me, as someone originally from NJ -- so I passed on those. BUT THOSE BURGERS!!! I had the opportunity to stop by my favorite local brewery last night (Bright Light) and grab some R Burger. I'm not in the area often when they area around but knew I would be and made sure to grab a burger. I wanted to the Jalapeno Colby Jack Burger but it was sold out. I grabbed the fried egg burger and some hand cut fries. I had to get it to go and ate it about 20 minutes later after I got home and it was still hot, fresh and very delicious! I was very impressed with the flavor of this burger. It was a perfect size and all the flavors just worked well together. They use a nice bun, not a grocery store style bun. Toppings were premium. The fries were hand-cut and outstanding. I'm going to try that jalapeno burger soon as I love spicy food but I would definitely get the fried egg burger and highly recommend it. Food was served hot and fast with a smile. Can't ask for more than that. Thanks! read more
