I went into Noble Meats for the first time and told them right away it was my first visit, so I needed a minute with the menu. Normally I go straight for brisket or ribs, but they told me they're known for their burnt ends, so I decided to try the burnt ends plate. After I paid and sat down for a bit, they came back and told me they had run out of burnt ends. They offered to substitute another meat and refund the difference. I switched to brisket and told them not to worry about the refund. To their credit, they gave me whatever burnt ends they had left along with the brisket, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the meat itself was disappointing. At first glance, the brisket did not look promising. The slices were very lean with almost no visible fat, no smoke ring, no pink, just gray-brown throughout. The bark was minimal and patchy. It looked dry before I even took a bite, and it ate exactly how it looked. The meat was firm, tight-grained, and lacked moisture. I ended up having to drink water between bites and could only finish about half before taking the rest home. The burnt ends weren't much better. They were dark and sauced on the outside, but they also leaned dry instead of tender and juicy. Not the rich, sticky, melt-in-your-mouth burnt ends I was hoping for. I got baked beans and potato salad for sides. I'm not sure if they make them in-house or if they're premade, but they were decent. Not amazing, not bad. They just didn't make up for the meat. I really wanted to like this place, especially after they recommended the burnt ends so confidently. I appreciate that they tried to make it right when they ran out, and that was good customer service. But at the end of the day, barbecue lives and dies by the meat, and this just didn't deliver. read more

Stopped here for lunch with a friend and was thoroughly impressed! I was going to get an order of burnt ends then I saw they had a taco trio of pulled pork, beef, and burnt ends; problem solved! The food was amazing and service was fast and friendly. They also offer freshly butcher beef and pork that looks INCREDIBLE! Great little bbq place. The servers were really nice and the place has a small town feel. There is some seating inside. Loved the brisket and the Mac and cheese. Was not a fan of the potato salad as it tasted just like the stuff you get in a big tub at Walmart and wish they served their plates with hush puppies instead of a roll. I read the other reviews and was so excited to try this place. It smelled incredible when we walked in. That's where the good experience ended. This place just isn't good. I ordered brisket, Mac n cheese and baked beans. There was ZERO smoke to anything. Mac n cheese is like that Freezer Queen stuff from way back and the brisket MIGHT have been better a few days ago but it isn't fresh, smoked or moist. I tried to force down a few bites but, I'd rather stay hungry than eat it. The tea tastes like dish soap. Really don't think they rinsed the urn but at least they washed it. It's just awful. Wonderful spot for lunch or takeout. Located just off Lillington Highway, this is a gem of a place. Service is on point, for BBQ novices (like me) the staff answers all your questions. Unfortunately the customer service experience we received from one of the employees was less than ideal. We came in for lunch and one of my coworkers asked to sample the sweet tea prior to making their drink order. An employee denied his request. The tone in which she spoke was rude and uncalled for. My coworker was extremely disheartened by the response. Not because she told him that he couldn't have the drink but because of the tone and manner she spoke to him. He clearly was disappointed and offended, yet the employee never offered an apology. The only employee to apologize was the male cashier. He had nothing to do with the negative interaction but I do appreciate him for making the effort. I suggested this restaurant to my coworkers based on previous experiences. Unfortunately, based on this negative experience, I won't be returning or recommending this establishment to anyone else. read more

This is the place to get meat! You can even eat in! It's a layed back spot, and staff is nice great lunch place. They only have a few tables, and it's a nice little place. Don't go too later if you want brisket because they will sell out! It's that good! Food is great, and the meat is high quality. We've often eaten there or had to go cooked foods like pulled pork or beef brisket. But last week I told my husband I wanted to try their butcher meats. So he bought us a filet and a rack of BB ribs. Now I'm talking perfection. Best meat with awesome flavor. The steak was good but those BBs blew me away. We planned to lightly smoke them, but decided because it was so hot and humid, we would do them low and slow on our grill. My word they are awesome. So tender loaded with meat, no excess fat. The flavor was excellent. We will go back!!! Their butcher is really great and he knows his meat. We seldom buy this quality of meat, but we will, buy it more often now. How WONDERFUL!!! We were searching for a really good restaurant with barbecue and stumbled across this jewel! The brisket lunch special was simply outstanding. Highly recommend the cowboy caviar... Has a sweet taste to it and it is out of this world. The new potatoes have a flavoring that a bit spicy but delicious! We WILL be back! In addition to prepared meats, they have a fresh meat case that looked out of this world. They also make their own beef jerky at $40 a pound. While I was waiting for my food, a young man came in and bought a pound beef jerky without blinking. When I commented on his purchase, he said this is the best best beef jerky and well worth it. I so wanted this to be better. I have to remind myself that NC BBQ is really only about the pulled pork. Here was no different. The pulled pork was very very good. The rest, the chicken, the burnt ends, and the ribs were just OK. There was almost no smokiness from the meat. Everything tasted like it was baked, not smoked. I did like their sweet BBQ sauce. Noble meat is an excellent small family run business. Its pricey. But their pulled pork tacos...wow! Have huge amount of flavor of actual real pork not vinegar. The tacos are cheap and kinda small. Believe me you'll want more than one for yourself and more to share. Their meats are excellent quality amd their staff are absolutely delightful. Be sure to walk in saying hello. Because they'll always greet you happily and you'll leave with a smile. Oh I almost forgot, their huge meat speciality boxes that can last you a good month or so depending how big or small your family is or if its just you alone. They are excellent quality. I do mean excellent. You can ask for certain substitutions but ask nicely please. The breakfast sausage is a bit to peppery ( if thats even a word) for me. But its completely worthwhile. We ordered two lunch plates with brisket for the wife and burnt ends for myself. Both were delicious, and plenty of meat for all but gluttonous appetites. I do have one of those appetites, so I went back and got a pulled chicken taco as well which was a really, really good idea it turns out. All the meat we had was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy; just the way you dream of when you have a hankering for it. (You can also get sauce on the side) My friend got the brisket with Mac and cheese and Texas caviar. We then waited outside for our orders, which only took about 5 min. It was brought outside to us, and we used the picnic tables outside to enjoy our lunch. We were not disappointed. The pork was fantastic, and the sauce added a nice sweetness with a little vinegar tang. The sides were equally as wonderful. Don't sleep on the Texas caviar. It was a solid choice, and I'm glad I ordered it. Also, make sure you get a sweet tea from them. It's the best sweet tea I've had in the last week while being in the Fayetteville area. Ordered a bunch of food for a party. The only thing better than their food was their customer service. They were flexible to last minute changes and provided great tips for how to feed a large group. I have been to this place a few times and each time I have purchased their steaks (filets and ribeye). Their quality of meat is wonderful. These were priced at 9.99 a pound and they let you pick which ones you want. For all 3 my total was about $28 dollars. I feel as though that is a very reasonable price for a great cut of steak. Resteraunts will charge you $18-$20 for one Ribeye. The steaks were so big we had enough for dinner the following day. I definitely plan to try the other meats they have available (chicken, lamb, bacon etc.) The service has always been great too! So glad I found this hidden gem! read more
