I would never recommend this company - go somewhere else! I hired them to install a septic system…read morefor a new construction home. They designed and installed a system which I've had nothing but trouble with over the last 14 years. Each time I've informed them of an issue, it is difficult to get them to come look at it. They talk as though there is nothing wrong with it even though the alarm is going off continuously. When they've finally come out, they've discovered float switches have gone bad causing an actual problem. This last spring and summer (2019), we initially got quite a bit of rain and my septic alarm was going off constantly - I was told it was just because of the rain. Mid-July the rest of my yard was dry, but my lateral field was like walking on a sponge - I couldn't mow in that area at all (all summer) had to use a weed eater for the entire area. I contacted them again and once again they acted like they didn't want to have anything to do with it. When they finally showed up, they said they think it is ground water getting into the system, and that they didn't dig the curtain (interceptor) drain deep enough when they originally designed it. They said they'd give me a bid on digging it deeper - which should fix the problem. I waited over a month before contacting them again since I still had not received a bid, and my next correspondence was that they would get me a bid within the week. I then was contacted saying they wanted me to pay $500 for them to dig a "test pit" to make sure that the problem was in fact ground water. I questioned the pricing because I didn't want to just pay $500 for them to troubleshoot and then be charged thousands for repair and have the trouble shooting be completely separate when the two could be combined at a reduced cost (dig part of the deeper interceptor drain and use it as part of the fix once verified that ground water was in fact the source of the problem). The response I received from Scott Gann is posted below. They designed and installed the system but they won't stand behind their work. I'd never use them and recommend you do the same.

I don't know where to begin with this review, but I will try to be as fair as possible. I guess I…read morewill start with what I'm pleased with, and that would be my cabinets. I purchased a house that had kitchen cabinets that were outdated and before I purchased the house, I had been communicating with river city and explained what I wanted. I finally purchased the house and then put in my order for the kitchen cabinets and paid my fee to get on their schedule. I got the cabinets that I ordered and I am satisfied, but the process I was not satisfied with all. Covid-19 stalled the project and set the date back a couple of times and I was understanding of that. The issue started before the install. For, I was not kept up with the changing dates and when things would happen. I would call and never would get a call back. Luckily, I live close by so I would drive over and ask weekly and monthly and would always get "I was just about to call you"; that didn't make me feel good at all. Then the installation process was not that smooth. I explained and had the guy taking the order come over to view the ceiling and some of the imperfections that were present during the old kitchen cabinet removal. I was told that there would be no issue for the installation crew can handle the at showed. During the installation the crew was clueless to the imperfections and did not make the cabinet adjustments to fit. so, when they put the cabinet up it was not professional looking at all. And when the drawers and cabinets had the knobs placed the tools tore the wood something horrible. When I finally got around to viewing the cabinets, I was not happy. I went to the owner, and he was very nonchalant with his responses and at one point asked me "well, what do you want me to do about it?" I was not happy at all with the response and the attitude that I received from him. this is the same person that had no issue cashing my check and charging my credit card but had an issue with resolving the issues that I told him I had with my cabinets; I was not happy at all. And, again, I had to keep going back to check on the date the cabinets were going to be fixed or replaced because I couldn't get a response on the phone. Finally, the cabinets got fixed and I was feeling a little better. Then one day I had to look for something that fell on the floor and looked under the cabinets and seen that they are not closed at the bottom. I called, to no avail, and then drove over and asked about it. I was told " we never close the cabinets at the bottom". I asked why I wasn't informed of this? I was told "we just never discuss that". I again was not happy at all. I would have never thought I would have to ask that question. for I have never seen cabinets that were not closed at the bottom. I was not happy at all. so, while I'm happy with my cabinets I can not give a 5 out 5 because of all the hoops that I had to go through, because of the company, to get the cabinets finished. I was told that I strip would be made to close the bottom off, by the order taker, and it's been months and I still haven't heard from the order taker about it; shame-shame-shame. so, while the price was affordable, I was able to get the pull-out cabinet that I wanted, the installers were nice, and I do like my cabinets I would be on the fence to tell someone to use this company. if I were to tell someone to use this company, I would advise them to write down questions that they wouldn't think they would ever have to ask a company and ask them before going with them. I would advise them to make sure they get their order explained more than once so there will not be any surprise financial additions. I would tell them to know the address because they will need it, a lot! I would tell them that the communication between the owner, order taker, and installer is not good at all. There is so much more I could write, but time is not on my side, so I will stop typing; for now!!! there may be a sequel!!

From the owner to the installers, those folks are professional, helpful and just plain easy to work with. And, they did a beautiful job on our new kitchen cabinets. From start to finish, our project went smoothly, and they are one of the best companies I've done business with. As an added bonus, their pricing was very reasonable. I only intended to have them install new kitchen cabinets, but they did such a great job that I'm searching my house for other projects they can do for me.
