Wow. Yesterday I dealt with Gord. That was one horrid experience, let me tell you. This COULD take…read morea while to explain, so bear with me. We have Kenmore stacker washer and dryer. The washer done up and broke on us, and it is on the bottom of the stack. The set is in our mud room in the back of our house which also serves as a bathroom and is, admittedly cramped. I called Sears and one of the people they recommended calling was good ol' Gord. So, I did. His rates seemed reasonable enough. He was gruff on the phone, but, whatever, maybe he would be better in person. NO. Not at all. He came into the mud room and started whining and complaining that he couldn't work in that small space, for starters (although we have had other repair people work in there with no problem). One of the issues, I guess, was that the top dryer had to come off which was something I was more than prepared to take care of. I mean, I don't know. The reason I called a "professional" was because I had no idea what was wrong and what needed to be done. Well, this dude was FAR from professional. He acted like he had never seen a situation like this and that I was ridiculous for even thinking that he might be able to deal with this in a professional manner. He acted like a teenager who was just asked to clean his room or something. It was rather weird. He was confrontational, grumpy and generally completely unhelpful making an already stressful situation THAT MUCH WORSE! How has this guy managed to stay in business?? So, to say the least I cannot possibly recommend this guy. In the end I was just glad that he was out of the house so I didn't have to deal with him anymore. I've never been happier to see the backside of a repairman.

He knows his stuff and will only let you spend money to fix something if it's worth it, unlike many appliance services who only want to make a buck from you over and over again.

UPDATE: After writing my message below I got a call from my sales rep. One of their guys was…read moregoing to the warehouse for another customer and they graciously offered to bring my small appliance to the St. Mary's location for pick up. Saved me a ton of time and hassle. Thanks for stepping up you guys and listening to your customers. Unless you plan on running across the city to pick up your appliances don't buy here. I live in the South end. Bought a microwave and now have to spend 1 and 1/2 hours running across the city to pick it up. Why have a warehouse nowhere near your location. Would have bought somewhere else if I knew this information. So ridiculous that you would make customers do this. Bring it to the store for me. Go elsewhere unless you live near Red River College. Plus it took 7 weeks to get here when they told me 4 weeks.

Worst customer service ever! Purchased a Bosch dishwasher because they have a reputation for being…read morequiet. Mine makes an unbearable clacking noise that's heard throughout the house. After having to call several times to get a response from the service department, I finally had 4 service calls over a few months but the repair men were baffled and the problem couldn't be found. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THERE'S NOT A PROBLEM! The salesman and 2 Bosch customer service reps agreed that it shouldn't make this noise. The store manager might as well have told me tough luck, take a hike with his response. He didn't even listen to the noise to hear just how bad it is before he dismissed me.
