UPDATE: After writing my message below I got a call from my sales rep. One of their guys was going to the warehouse for another customer and they graciously offered to bring my small appliance to the St. Mary's location for pick up. Saved me a ton of time and hassle. Thanks for stepping up you guys and listening to your customers. Unless you plan on running across the city to pick up your appliances don't buy here. I live in the South end. Bought a microwave and now have to spend 1 and 1/2 hours running across the city to pick it up. Why have a warehouse nowhere near your location. Would have bought somewhere else if I knew this information. So ridiculous that you would make customers do this. Bring it to the store for me. Go elsewhere unless you live near Red River College. Plus it took 7 weeks to get here when they told me 4 weeks. read more

Worst customer service ever! Purchased a Bosch dishwasher because they have a reputation for being quiet. Mine makes an unbearable clacking noise that's heard throughout the house. After having to call several times to get a response from the service department, I finally had 4 service calls over a few months but the repair men were baffled and the problem couldn't be found. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THERE'S NOT A PROBLEM! The salesman and 2 Bosch customer service reps agreed that it shouldn't make this noise. The store manager might as well have told me tough luck, take a hike with his response. He didn't even listen to the noise to hear just how bad it is before he dismissed me. I purchased a Whirlpool stove in Jan. 2024. It is malfunctioning. The elements go crazy sometimes. I had a pot of water boiling on medium heat. The element went so high it shot the water out of the pot like a volcano. Even on low the elements do this. I am afraid of a fire or personal injury when this happens. I contacted Whirlpool support and they told me to provide my credit card number if I wanted assistance. That is crazy. No help there! Called Midland and advised them of my issue and they offered to send out a technician for $150 just to look. Repairs would be extra. Not much help there either. this company just delivered our washer and dryer and while removing the old washing machine they broke the tap. they taped it up, left the water still running and left and told us to get a plumber on a Saturday! our laundry room floor was covered in water. we called the company they were most unhelpful and told us to call a plumber as they aren't responsible for this. would not recommend this company to anyone. we usually deal with Stalwart so very disappointed We didn't use them read more

We bought all our new kitchen Aid appliances from Midland Appliances. The range was delivered 6 December2026. The oven quit working 15 Feb. it was a long weekend, so I waited until Tuesday to call. The appliance repair guy came on Thursday afternoon. The control panel needs to replaced. Unfortunately there are no available control panels in Canada or the United States and I have to wait 21 days if I am not contacted by the appliance repair guy to contact Whirlpool(kitchen Aid) and find a resolution for this repair. Midland did try to contact KitchenAid to see if they could expedite the repair or timeline. It was a no, the salesperson told me to call myself. I did and got offered $100 for my inconvenience, but I would have to wait until 12 March to see what happens. I called the sales person back to let her know what the outcome was. I asked if they had any loaner stoves to use in the meantime. She would look into it, but if they had a loaner it would not be great. I was ok with that until they added a delivery charge and a deposit. Really, my stove has been used for 2 months, it's not useable. The manufacturer will not move on 21 days and Midland Appliances could provide excellent customer relations by just waiving the delivery fee for the stove. I've been waiting for the store manager of the Portage Aveue store to call me, but that hasn't happened yet. In context, when we moved in 2022 we bought Kitchen and laundry sets from them. We sold our place and have now purchased another complete set of kitchen and laundry appliances from them. But never again. read more

Awesome company, I found a new washing machine in my price line and the salesman was fantastic. I am mostly bed ridden and he went out of his way to help. It took just under 2 weeks to get it, they came and had to empty the old one, they were so courteous it was a joy dealing with them. Wish you had more stars. We experienced extremely poor customer service (St. Mary's location). The appliance we ordered was suppose to arrive May 26th. We didn't receive delivery of our purchase until June14th. Our sales woman never made contact to advise us that our appliance was on backorder or to give us an ETA update. When I called and left messages, I never received a return phone call - ever. Our saleswoman did email once promising delivery on June 6th. When this didn't happen, I finally asked to speak to the Manager (Ted) who was extremely rude and condescending. He explained that their suppliers don't keep them informed so they have no way of controlling or being informed of late deliveries. He added that he couldn't deal with my problem as he was leaving for vacation. I finally connected with my sales woman a day before our appliance arrived and she made me feel as though I was being a complete bother. She suggested that I just get a refund AND I would have to pay a $200 restocking fee. I asked to speak with the owner. I was transferred to the owner's assistant who tracked down the appliance and had it delivered the next day. I followed up with an email to the owner's assistant - providing the details of our ordeal and asked that she pass my note onto the owner. I also asked that the owner acknowledge what had transpired. I didn't receive any apology/response, whatsoever. Oh, I did get a free delivery out of it all. I also want to add that I was completely polite and patient in all my communications. This got me nowhere. Also, to be fair, I spoke with two young salesmen when I was trying to track down our appliance (since I couldn't reach our original saleswoman) and they were both extremely polite and tried to help out. To summarize, I would expect more from a local business that's been around for 40 years. I would have received better service at a big box store. read more
