Advanced Air Care Heating and Cooling

Advanced Air Care Heating and Cooling

EXTREMELY unfortunate I have to write a negative review. I prefer praising companies and places of…read morebusiness for excellence. However that's not the case this time. People need to know. Where to begin... I chose Advanced Air Care initially to replace my HVAC AND duct work because one of their employees was doing some side work for me restoring a home I purchased to fix up. He mentioned he could also assist in their work which would be beneficial since he was going to be there often. They didn't end up using him but, he did let them in with his key and eventually his door code (Only those initial times did I know and approve him doing so since I lived out of state). With that (jumping ahead) a handful of times he let them in when there were MAJOR issues. The problem with this is because neither Advanced Air Care or Aaron Kinsley, let me know there were issues and them entering without my knowledge or permission, as legal council confirmed, is trespassing. On one occasion, I called and complained that the vents were excessively sweating and the temperature was staying higher than input, by 5+ degrees. They tried to tell me it was because it was hot out or because maybe the doors were being open and closed a lot since we were fixing it up. I was astonished at this insulting excuse. Once they finally took me seriously they sent out a tech to take a look. The tech told me he fixed what he could but that there were bigger issues he couldn't address. This company NEVER got back to me. I had to call a week later to see where we stood. I found out by the contractor working on my house, that the actual owner (Taylor) got personally involved with what a mess they had made of my new duct work and had them redo the ENTIRE thing. Something like this, one would expect to hear about from the company, but it's as if they were trying to keep it a secret, or had/have VERY poor communication (that I already knew). So not only did they do this major job & not let me know they were doing it, not schedule a time to enter my property, they also left a huge mess...a mess that the contractor who works for them told me about and I had to pay to clean up and even re-paint many things in the home. THEN...there are two other issues that arose that I was not told about where they again came out without me knowing or my contactor letting me know he let them in. I have a text proving he left the door unlocked for them to enter at their convenience. As well as a few where he himself is complaining about the quality of work by his company, Advanced Air Care being very poor. The last issue, was the AC not working at all! I have ALL the texts from this contractor stating everything I'm sharing. I have ALL the ring camera visits downloaded and one being an inside camera with audio. I have the last call from Aaron to his technician "buddy" saying it wasn't working and having him come out... During this call, they are both talking very poorly about me (the homeowner), and again doing the same when they were both in my house. I have nearly 10 years in the HVAC industry as a spouse and I've heard all kinds of stories. I am appalled. With the proof I have of EVERYTHING including the times and dates anyone entered via a door code without my permission, to not locking the door and coming in the side door (including Advanced Air Care), to Aaron even using a window to get in AND claiming zero responsibilities and then ULTIMATELY ghosting me, I'm done. It was suggested by a lawyer that I have two separate cases with the trespassing, being a criminal case that I will be filing with Wakula Sheriff's Department and his negligence bringing his own company into these criminal charges, as their entering without letting me the homeowner know, is LEGITIMATE trespassing and very unprofessional (and illegal) for a company to do. As far as Aaron...as their employee, with his negligence, he is also someone to avoid if you hire this company to work on your HVAC, as he has little integrity.

4.5 stars Advanced…read moreAir Care did a great job replacing my central A/C system, which was on its last leg. The entire staff, from the office team to the installers, were helpful, courteous, and professional. From the initial call to the completion of the installation, the entire process took just over two weeks during the peak summer season. I won't hesitate to use Advanced Air Care again for my next HVAC need. While Advanced Air Care came in as the most expensive on my list of proposals, they were still within the average range for the cost of central A/C replacement in the Tallahassee area. I chose them instead of one of the lower proposals because of both the responsiveness they provided and the expertise they demonstrated during the estimate.

Parker Services installed our Amana heat pump unit in 2018. When we needed repair in December 2024,…read morethey came out and diagnosed it as a leaking coil with no refrigerant left in the system. The diagnostic charge was $130 which is fair. The repair estimate (labor) to replace the coil was $1230 plus refrigerant, (the part was under warranty) which the tech said would be about another $1000. The labor estimate of $1230 was to be two techs for four hours each (8 hours total labor). Our unit holds about 16 pounds of R410A, which we bought online at a very substantial savings ($230 for 25#) so obviously there is well over a 300% markup on their refrigerant pricing. Once the new coil was received by Parker Services, they came out to install it. The first tech was there alone for one hour before the second tech arrived ($160). The second tech was there together with the first tech for one hour ($260), then the first tech left, and the second tech was there alone for 2 more hours ($320). This is using their labor rates, and should have been a total of $740 for labor. After about 10 days of requesting an itemized invoice from "Buddy", we received an invoice via email for the full amount of the initial "estimate" of $1230, which was broken down as $130 for diagnostic (correct), and $1100 for labor ($260 per hour for two men @ 3 hours and $160 for one man @ 2 hours) which was incorrect. I called Jeremy to try to get this reduced to the proper amount of $870. ($740 actual labor cost, plus $130 diagnostic), but still received an "itemized" invoice for $1230, with incorrect labor hours on it. This is an overbilling of $360. We are mailing them a check for the full invoice amount. Unless this is resolved, we will not be using Parker Services in the future. Also, we only used 16 pounds of the 25 pounds of refrigerant that we bought, and gave the remaining 8 pounds to the tech. I am retired from commercial construction and have built $60 million dollar buildings so I have plenty of experience and knowledge in the HVAC industry. I also have known the founders of Parker Services for many years but would not recommend using them.

The guy "Buddy" is anything but your buddy. He also cussed us out and told us its not his fault we are poor! Office was equally rude, acting like we took several hours of their time even though I paid over $400 for NOTHING. NEVER GO HERE.
