The Good - Our dog seems to enjoy going to Barks and always comes back 100% exhausted (assumingly…read morebecause he has so much fun). We have had generally positive interactions with the staff and the facility seems fairly nice from what we can see. The cage-less atmosphere is a big plus for us. The Bad- You're almost guaranteed to have to pay additional fees for boarding (for those with traditional work or vacation trip schedules). For boarding you can't do a morning check-in or an afternoon/evening check-out without paying an extra $15 fee for each on top of the $50 per night fee. You can't pick your dog up on Sundays at all unless you make pre-arrangements and pay another $15 fee. The Ugly- We felt pretty scammed on our last boarding. We dropped him off Friday for a 1-night stay and were told we could pick him up anytime before 7pm the next day (the front desk girl even said "Saturday? Anytime before 7"). But we received a call at 6:15pm the next day asking when we were coming to pick up our dog because they were closing (they told us the girl at the front desk made a mistake and they don't stay open until 7pm on Saturdays). We said we were 15 minutes away, our GPS said we would be there at 6:30pm. They said they were sorry about the mistake, but that was too long to wait and we would have to pick him up the next morning. We weren't thrilled, but mistakes happen, ok. First thing the next morning we went to pick them up and the front desk girl (the one who had said 7pm) was very apologetic, but then CHARGED us both for the 2nd night we didn't want AND a Sunday pickup fee. Blown away, I asked "are you really charging us for the 2nd night?". She called what I assume was the manager and they took off the Sunday pickup fee but still charged us the extra $50 for the extra night. Might be a little over-dramatic, but it really felt like they held our doggo hostage and then demanded ransom to get him back. We paid it, but we really lost our trust in Barks with this. We'll probably try to avoid Barks in the future if we can. The ???- every time we pick our pup up from boarding, he drinks a comical amount of water. It's probably because he's too busy running around with the other dogs to drink, but we do hope they have water bowls out for the dogs at all times.

The doctors, technicians, and staff were always professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. They never made us feel rushed and always took the time to answer questions and explain treatment options. A few weeks ago, we faced the heartbreaking reality of saying goodbye to Tango. The team at Godley Station helped guide us through one of the most painful experiences a pet owner can endure with compassion, dignity, and kindness. Then, sometime later, we received a handwritten sympathy card signed by members of the staff along with Tango's paw and nose prints. It was a beautiful experience despite heart wrenching emotions. Dr. Nesbit has been an excellent Vet for Miller, and I appreciate how he never tried to rack tests and pricing up and always seemed truly focused on the well-being of my dog. Dr Nesbit has a spirit that only other dog lovers and dogs understand. Thank you for helping me through some tough times with my BFF (Best Fury Friend), I highly recommend him and Godley Station to all.

It also goes without saying, how accommodating and polite they are. I'm not always the best with keeping up with his grooming visits, so when my Tucker doesn't see people regularly, he generally is a nervous little guy. When we go in to the shop, he is not never scared nor is he shaking or anxious when I pick him up. He's happy and smells so good. I won't use anyone else (unless they decide to close shop). I highly recommend Hair of the Dog! You and your pup will not regret it.

I found this spot through a recommendation from a friend, and I'm so glad I did! My previous…read moregroomer was fine, but they were terrible at following up with appointments until the last minute, which made it hard to plan my schedule or budget properly. My friend shared their website with me to book my first appointment, but I didn't see any dates that worked for me, so I decided to reach out later. To my surprise, the salon texted me the very next day asking if I had any questions since I'd registered my pup but hadn't scheduled yet. Now that's great customer service! They were able to fit me in with a new groomer the following weekend, which was awesome. On the day of the appointment, the salon is located in a small strip mall just off DeRenne Ave. There's plenty of parking for easy drop-offs and pick-ups. The lobby is small but clean honestly, it doesn't need to be fancy; it's a dog grooming spot, after all! What I really loved was the grooming area. It's set up kind of like a mini doggie daycare no cages! The dogs are free to play with each other, which made me feel so much better about leaving my dog there. Tobi was initially hesitant, but as soon as he saw the other dogs, I basically became invisible. LOL They texted me within an hour of dropping him off, which was way quicker than I expected for a bath and cut. Plus, their prices are really reasonable. They also offer fun spa packages like fur gems, fur feathers, chalk fur painting, and even hair coloring! If you're looking to spoil your dog, they've got a birthday add-on with a birthday cake shampoo, paw cream, a photoshoot, and more. The sweetest touch was getting a "report card" text after I picked Tobi up. It included a before-and-after picture along with a note about how he did during his grooming session. Every person I've met so far, including the owners, is super friendly and genuinely loves their job and the dogs. That's so important when you're trusting someone with your furry friend. Each time I go to pick him up, Ashley goes out of her way to tell me how Ollie did and who he played with, and I love hearing stories about his silliness (of course, what dog mom wouldn't?). Their rates are incredibly reasonable, plus the military discount is a sweet deal. I never have to worry when he's there and I know that they take good care of him. I've left him overnight a handful of times now and he's always come back happy and tired. Club Fido is the best doggy daycare I've taken my pup to and I won't be going anywhere else as long as I live in Savannah.

I have been using their services for a little over three years now. Every day or at least 3 times a week I get an email blast from them advertising care and medicines for sale. That practice alone gives me the creepy crawlies. But also when I take my dogs in for tech work, such as a monthly shot, Im hounded by extra costs and unnecessary exams and tests. If they had their way, what should be a 90$ visit explodes into a $300 visit. One year ago, the monthly Librella injection cost $70 with tech, today it is $101. One year ago, the proheart 6 injections were the "less expensive choice vs heart guard and the reason to do it. This is how they advertised it to me. They have marked up the cost by more than $50. I guess they figured I wouldn't check now that it is a renewing prescription. Today, I wanted heartworm shots for my dogs and they insisted that an annual exam was "required by law" in order to qualify for the heartworm medicine. Vet clinic policy is not law. I went to PetFix down the road, and they only required the heartworm test and proof of rabies vaccination. It feels SOOO CORPORATE!!! I want my vet and their techs to be more grounded and not so fundamentally driven by milking every penny they can from me. I completely understand that they have to make a profit to survive, but this is ridiculous. It's like taking your car to the dealership to get serviced; same repair, higher cost. If paying through your nose is your thing, then Case is for you. For the "annual exam" required to just get heartworm meds for two young dogs under 3 tears old ends up to be $330 PER PET!!! and that doesn't include the cost of the heartworm injection! For my elderly dog, he's 17, $381 before even paying the 170 something they want for the heartworm! settle down people, settle down. Also, they're on a really busy street with no fence, so if your pet jumps out of your car, you get the extra fun bonus of experiencing a heart attack.
