He spent a fair amount of time evaluating how best to remedy the mantel, which is not affixed. He took a tour of my crawl space and inspected the boiler vent. He took a courtesy peek at a second fireplace in the house (though that was unscheduled). He even surveyed the property to determine the best place to store a cord of firewood. At all times, he was professional, informative and polite. He is quite knowledgable and articulates his findings in layman's terms, with an intent to have his customer fully understand the scope of the recommended work. He is extremely safety-minded and presented me with photographic proof of the damage he found. He provided me with a printed evaluation, on the spot, of clear and existing fire hazards in this house, and a comprehensive estimate for necessary repairs. When I am able to make such repairs, I will certainly call upon this company to handle the job, based upon Matt's overall presentation. He conveyed a sense of confidence in his capability regarding his field. The fee for the visit was less than expected, as it was decided not to do the cleanings at this time.
