Every child deserves an equal opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances, whether they live in the city or a rural area. One incident that stands out involved my daughter, who was wrongfully accused by a teacher of yelling and swearing. Without consulting her or truly listening to her side of the story, another teacher supported this accusation and required her to write an apology letter. This situation is just one example of the injustices my children faced at this school where they never reached out to me concerning any of the issues they had with my children. It is vital that all children are treated fairly, irrespective of their race, socioeconomic status, gender, or sexual orientation. Although my children are now grown, I hope the school can learn from these experiences and implement better practices moving forward. I sincerely pray for improvements in their approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion, so that all students feel seen and heard. Staff and administration communicated well and we were VERY satisfied with the education our children received.

This is an excellent Elementary School located on the west side or Sioux Falls and is part of the…read moreSioux Falls school district. The school has exceptional teachers and families which results in a n excellent learning environment and high test scores. The school is highly desired so they cap open enrollment every year. The playground has three different sets of equipment, one of which is part of Memorial Park. The school is next door to Memorial Middle School on the east and Prairie West Library to the south. This is an excellent school and nice part of town to live in.
