She had sealant work done on Monday and we suspected that this may have been causing some issues. We noticed a sore inside her cheek near the back. She also complained of a sharp pointy bit on her tooth. We decided to see if we could see someone to take care of the issue. We called six other places but no one could see her. Dr. Brooke and team were the only ones willing to see her immediately. Thank goodness we got her in. When Dr. Brooke looked inside my daughters mouth, she noticed a HUGE chunk of sealant still stuck on a molar. It was huge. Like another tooth. She quickly removed it and my daughter was as happy as ever. The entire staff was phenomenal. Friendly and hospitable. Knowing we were from out of state, they offered me plenty of kid friendly activities to explore while we are here in Mobile. Again, thank you all so much. We are very grateful. I simply can't say enough good things about this dentist office. The entire staff was beyond awesome. Dr. Barberi and her assistant both took a great amount of time with me explaining what all I needed to have done in the near future. My teeth are in bad shape. I had to have a tooth pulled today and not only did I have zero pain, but I also didn't know when my tooth was pulled, meaning, I felt nothing at all. No tugging, no nothing. It just came out, and very quickly I might add! The only thing that hurt a tad was the numbing injection, but that was because I had to have one done in the roof of my mouth. But, other than that, I felt nothing at all. The entire staff is caring, helpful and very sweet! Like I said, I can't recommend them enough!!! They showed a great amount of concern over my financial situation and helped me come up with an awesome plan that I'm pretty sure I can handle. They are ALL simply amazing!!!

Due to this, we started using the location at the mall to get the braces tightened each time and it makes the time pass faster. That location wasn't an option today, so we had to visit this one again, which is the main location, and I'm pleased to say that the wait time was much, much shorter today. She was in and out once her name was called. The staff was nice and pleasant, and took time to explain something different that they had to do today, and made sure we both understood what she needed to do at home. I'm glad we chose this place for her braces.

I booked an appointment for 3/19/25 for 10:00AM for a cleaning. I was sent a link to complete upon…read moremy arrival. I completed the link and when I arrived the time was 9:50am and I asked the front desk personnel how much would my cleaning be and informed her I didn't have insurance. She went to ask the office manager Kim, and returned and told me it would be $79. I was called to the back by a hygienist and she told me she had to take x rays and then proceeded to probe my gums and she showed me my x rays and we talked about some tarter build up and she informed me that I would need a deep cleaning. Which I wasn't shocked because I've had deep cleanings in the past. She then called Dr. White in and he looked over my x rays and did a probe of his own and agreed with a deep cleaning. Side bar: The hygienist was very thorough and detailed. No complaints with her at all. My problem arose after she told me I could have a seat in the front and wait on the office manager to book my follow up appointment. I asked her if I wasn't getting a cleaning today and she responded and told me no that I would require more time. I was confused but wanted to speak with the front office to see what my options were being that I scheduled and paid for a cleaning. I go back to the front and wait for about 25minutes and was called to the back. The office manager informed me that I wasn't getting a cleaning today and that I only paid for a comprehensive exam which initially is $360 but they were running a $79 special. I then asked her why wasn't I informed of this prior to paying for my "cleaning" and was told it must was a communication mishap. Then I went on to ask her how much will my deep cleaning be and she told me $1380. I am flabbergasted because I've never paid no more than $600 for a deep cleaning. At this point she became very condescending with her remarks. She didn't acknowledge the fact that I wasn't informed I was paying for a comprehensive exam and not a cleaning. I strongly feel that I should have been told upfront that I wasn't paying for a cleaning but for an exam. I've never scheduled a cleaning and left an office without some sort of cleaning. Even if they didn't have time for a deep cleaning, I honestly felt as though I should have been offered a basic cleaning or at least some floss or a toothbrush I feel scammed honestly. I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only person this has happened to. A better upfront clear communication strategy needs to be implemented with this establishment. I ended up being in the office for a total of 2 hours and left with a photo copy of my X-rays and no itemized receipt.
