I have HATED going to THIS dental office for the years I've lived down here, but the ease of…read morescheduling (compared to how difficult it is to schedule in Pensacola) and my general dislike of all dental experiences allowed me to just hold my nose twice a year vs. finding a new dentist. But I just went back and it was a completely new experience. 1. The waiting area was not putrid with air fresheners in every outlet!!! The office actually smelled like a dentist office! So wonderful! 2. My hygienist was new and had a nice personality! She was pretty and happy and not old and churchy. How nice! 3. They had HGTV on my TV and not the local news that makes me want to puncture my jugular with their pokey cleaning tools. 4. My NEW dentist sat his butt down on a freaking stool to examine my teeth instead of standing over me like a serial killer. (No, this is not a joke and I filed a formal complaint.) And I was thankful to have a new dentist to deliver the news that I had a small cavity that needed to be filled bc if my old dentist had made me imagine getting a filling by him...shudder* And I scheduled that filling and I went in and was out in an hour and my new dentist from the week before was still a completely normal dude the following Monday. He was super nice and very skilled and I am so happy with my filling! It's really smooth and perfectly moulded to my upper teeth and my floss doesn't catch. Perfection! I will definitely be going back and I am so glad my awful dentist's office has become such a turnaround story!! Still only 4 stars for the miserable years we shared together before now.

My initial visit was on 5/6/26 First and foremost, I came in…read morefor a consultation. I already had temporary crowns but needed a new treatment plan. Northcutt removed my temporary crowns to assess any problems, and I allowed them to do so because I wanted to get a treatment plan. They removed them, and my teeth looked fine--no extra work needed, just permanent crowns. I was told it would cost roughly $3,000. That seems a bit high, but I was willing to pay for the treatment plan over the next few weeks. The dental hygienist then placed new temporary crowns on me. I wasn't shown them after she finished, and once I got home, I noticed they were uneven, small, and not as well-tailored to my mouth. It was very noticeable. They weren't perfect, but could have been better. However, this is my smile. I called to express my dissatisfaction and rescheduled to return later that day. When I arrived, I was greeted by the location supervisor. Instead of showing concern, she gave me an attitude about how I feel about my own smile. I voiced my concerns anyway. She then brought up a treatment plan I had done in 2022, which was completely irrelevant to this situation since I had that done at another location. I can't see her managing my office, as she lacks accountability and empathy, completely overlooking my overall concern. Whether they were putting on or removing temporary crowns, it's still my smile--something everyone sees when they look at me. This is why some people never go to the doctor or dentist because of people like her. You don't insult a person and expect to be trusted to do right by them. Overall, I didn't get to thank Dr. Anna Nguyen for correcting the mishap. I will never return. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. Update: 5/8/26 The additional material that was added to the temporary crowns crumbles. Back uneven, and now I have an even worse smile than before. Just avoid this place!

I spoke to Ashley, a very friendly receptionist, who could hear my agony and she got me in that afternoon for a consultation to get some relief. I met with Dr. Taylor, Dentist and she patiently counseled me on the procedural options. By the end of the day I was on antibiotics and had an appointment for a root canal. When I had additional questions about the procedure I was able to visit again and walk through all the options again with Dr. Taylor and her professionalism and ability to let me decide at my comfort level is much appreciated. The morning of my first procedure, I arrived and was met by Katelyn, a Certified Dental Assistant who welcomed me and walked me to the chair. On the way I encountered a sea of welcoming smiles and greetings from all the other staff seated at the front desk and walking through the halls. Ashley made sure I was comfortable and relaxed before beginning. They really do treat you like family, not only during the procedure but in the recommendations for treatment options. They show extreme patience and kindness at each step from providing consultation to completing the procedures at every visit. Dr. Taylor is masterful at root canals! She was efficient, focused, and careful. Her gentle and professional manor gave me confidence that I was in good hands. Throughout the appointment she checked on me to make sure I was comfortable and pain free. As we all know, insurance coverage can often be a cul-de-sac of confusion. When I had a question about the payment options and charges, Ashley walked me through the bill with great patience and helped me understand exactly what each charge was for and how insurance affected the outcome. Very rarely do we encounter people who view their jobs as a passion, and when we find those who do we should give appropriate honor. During the small talk that occurs during the first moments sitting in the dental chair while being prepped, I asked Katelyn if she enjoyed her job. What said really impressed me, "Some might see this role as a stepping stone, but this is exactly what I want to do." And do it well she does, when I received my temporary crown Katelyn ensured it fit correctly and when I left it felt like my real tooth. When I came back to receive my crown she took her time to ensure the fit and it feels natural and strong. I am very grateful for Dr. Taylor, Katelyn, and Ashley for helping me get through a personally challenging ordeal, as I dread going to the dentist as some others dread flying or tight rope walking across the Grand Canyon, but they pulled it off and I remain a loyal patient of this fantastic dental care group. You've built a strong family of dental caregivers, Dr. Northcutt!

Your GPS or other map device will not tell you when or where to turn, it's dumb and frustrating. There's a traffic light where you have to turn to take two quick right turns to go up a steep hill towards a church but turn left into some big tress where a group of office buildings are huddled together and then try to figure out which one is which. The signage is poor or non-existent so best to call for specific directions when you get close. I arrived and found the office but found a locked door. Covid-19 protocols made me wait outside for a receptionist to bring me the new patient forms. I had to go back to my car to fill them out then a phone call that I was done resulted in being welcomed inside, finally. Dr. Jon was very personable and did a thorough exam with his assistant. He asked me lots of questions and explained all of his findings. He also discussed his opinions and recommendations but coordination with my regular dentist is necessary so I'll be waiting fir them to consult and then I should get the proposals for how we should proceed. Bottom line,: Everyone is very friendly, organized and professional. I have no issues with my experience once I finally found the place.Dr Jon did his residency at the VA in Birmingham so kudos for serving the veterans!

They took the batch of typical X-rays and the next thing the dentist came in and suggested the removal of a tooth next to a dental implant. This is the first dentist I know that has ever suggested not saving a tooth. I contacted my old dentist from another state who took a look at my X-rays they had on file from just a couple months ago and he didn't see the logic. Furthermore, he advised that removing a tooth next to an implant actually causes more harm than good. Added to the insult, the dentist suggested the complete replacement of a perfectly good crown on the implant...a procedure which is NOT covered by insurance vs a "repair" which is covered. I guess some dentists see a couple of implants and think they can get more $$. I have had a lot of dental work done due to an accident so I know probably more about dentists than I care to admit. So, my best advice is to shop around...not all dentists are created equal. Even though dental insurance is pretty crappy, most dentists understand and work with insurance companies. Save your money and shop around and don't ever go to a dentist that suggest replacing perfectly good dental work just to get an extra dollar.
