I visited Northcutt Dental for a tooth extraction, teeth cleaning and general exam. Dr. Sebastian Torres and his team were wonderful. Tiffany, the Hygienist, did a great and gentle cleaning, which was followed by Dr. Torres thorough exam and a detailed treatment plan for issues he discovered along with an accurate cost estimate. The tooth extraction was practically painless and without complications. Dr Torres is a very personable and professional dentist who I would highly recommend. We have dual dental coverage and have been overcharged multiple times. I have been waiting for over 2 months for a refund that they overcharged me for. Each time I call they say oh we will take care of it but it's never taken care of. My wife went to get the price on a crown and somehow the price was the same if I had one insurance vs double coverage which is not correct. The billing office did not and would not resolve it. We told them hey this is not correct and this is the third time you have overcharged us. We were basically told oh well, so we will be finding a new dentist. This place has enough patients they simply can afford to lose business and still be fine. If you have an issue good luck getting it resolved or even a call back. As far as dental care I have had a very poor experience with 2 of my crowns here. One time they burnt my lip and had way to much suction on the top. My mouth hurt pretty good for weeks. read more

Love Northcutt dental. I always used the BM office but since I live in Fairhope and no longer work in BM it just made sense. I fell last Sunday trying to get to my crying toddle and hit my face which made on of my FRONT TEETH a little loose. When I got over (some) my fear I called them and made an appointment. They got me right in and on a SATURDAY! Dr. Freeman is awesome, Allison was really cool and made me feel at ease. The front desk ladies were top notch. Couldn't ask for a better experience. They also have playstations in the waiting room. I was tempted but there is seriously no wait time at this practice! Office is lovely as well. Highly recommend. read more

Sept/2022, my 1st appt for cleaning/exam at Fairhope office. That's the day troubles began. Dr Myers stating there was nothing she could do to address my 2 front teeth fillings, to Dr Angelo stepping up to fill these teeth, yet with bright white fillings that didn't match my natural teeth color to Dr Braga attempting to correct fillings matching my natural teeth but leaving me with constant sensitivity 2 mos later from over drilling to correct filling discolorations. Dr Braga insisted that I wasn't patient enough for tooth to heal. Two mos & I can't bite down on my front tooth. Next I asked for top bridges to replace a tooth on each side, only to receive 1 bridge due to Dr Northcutt refusing me services because he was uncomfortable with my detailed emails addressing additional issues with each visit. I was 1st quoted $3500 for bottom implants. When my max limit on my ins went up, Northcutt Dental then quoted me $10,000 for bottom implants. Creative pricing at its finest. Not only did Dr Northcutt refuse me services due to his staff's lacking as well as refusal to address my issues for 2 mos, he's left me with only 1 bridge & an incomplete dental treatment plan. I have a 5 yr Warranty Plan on my permanent bridge that I'm sure Dr Northcutt has no intention to honor. When attempting to make a review of unprofessionalism & dissatisfaction, much to my surprise Dr Northcutt's been involved in illegal dealings from Sen campaign in 2017/2018 forcing him to pay $62,500 for releasing names/addresses of 3,657 patients & 5,000 individuals breaking the HIPAA PRIVACY RULE. Dr Northcutt also was fined $1,000 for prescribing control substances without a license in 2004/2007. Additionally, Northcutt Dental Management LLC has a lawsuit against them for Employment Discrimination on Oct 17, 2022. I now understand why Dr Northcutt refused services to complete & fulfill my dental treatment plan with him being uncomfortable with my detailed emails per his Admin, Catherine. BEWARE!! read more

These people suck! Wish I could leave ZERO stars! I will say that I love Dr. David Bruce and do hope that one day he will be in private practice. He always made me feel like I was important and explained every detail of my care. Super gentle and really personable. Never had the same assistant or hygienist, which was disappointing because I had to continuously explain my teeth and gum sensitivity with each one. I had 2 crowns that were supposed to be delivered on March 2, 2021. One of those crowns their lab erred on and it had to be sent back. They scheduled me for March 23 for the SECOND fitting of this crown that they gave the measurements to their lab for. March 23 turned out to be a nasty weather day. I snuck out of my job at 4:40 to hopefully get to my appt by 5PM. The traffic was a nightmare and the storm was just as bad. I got to the Semmes office at 5:25, 25 minutes after my scheduled time. It does not take 50 minutes to get anywhere in my town. Except on weather/traffic days. Before arriving the office called (in the storm) at 5:12 to ask if I intended to keep my appt. I told her yes. She told me that if I was not there by 5:15 my appt would be canceled and they would not be able to work me in. She asked how much longer I would be. I told her I had no idea and gave her my location. She then proceeded to tell me they had an opening for the next day at 10AM. I replied that would not work and then dropped my phone to which I guess it hung up. Once I arrived at the office I tried signing in and giving the person behind the counter my information, when another person, Raven, walked out and asked if I had just been on the phone with someone in their office. I told her yes and that I dropped my phone, that the 10 AM would not work and if they could not see me today then I would be willing to go to their Cottage Hill location on Saturday for my crown. To which Raven said we don't switch offices. I told her then I guess I'll have to find another dentist. She began printing a medical release form and told me where to sign. I replied that I had already paid for a crown that had not been delivered and they either needed to provide my crown or a refund before I signed anything. She said that it would take a few weeks to get the refund. That made me more upset to the point that I stormed out of that office slamming their door wide open. As I stood there for a few minutes trying to get fresh air and compose myself, I remembered my husband was inside receiving his own dental care. I went back inside, had a seat on their sofa and started on my phone when, Raven, asked if she could help me. I told her no, as politely as I could, that my husband was in the back and I was waiting on him. When he came out, he sat beside me confused and I burst into tears and explained they would not see me b/c I was late. I told him I wasn't trying to get people killed to get to a dental appointment on time. And I stormed out of that office again. Again slamming the door wide open. As my husband followed me outside so I could explain the above details, Raven, pokes her head out the door and says, ma'am you'll have to leave the premises. I yelled I'm having a conversation with my husband. She again said I needed to leave or they would be forced to call the law. This is where I got exceptionally infuriated and screamed many expletives at her and begged her to please do call the police, that I hope she does, would she like to use my phone. I then stormed off to my vehicle leaving my husband to walk over to her to try to understand the problem. I called at 1:30 the next day and Pam said they would transfer patients to another location. But she would have to check with Cottage Hill's office manager to learn how to get the crown transferred. At 4:30 I called back to speak with Pam and was transferred to Raven. I told her thank you and have a nice day and hung up. I honestly had nothing more to say to her. So I called back and spoke with Megan. Megan told me that she was aware of the situation, (Semmes side not mine), and that no I could not be seen at the Cottage Hill office. That they were having terrible phone connection issues since the storm on the 23rd. (There was a storm, oh my goodness!) But that someone from HR would call me and that that person worked until 5 PM (same hours I work, a normal shift... hmm) and since it was already 4:55 most likely would not be that day but a few days. That Dr. David Northcutt would only get involved if he felt he had to. Now I need to get my insurance involved because they have been fraudulently charged a fee of service that has not and will not be performed since I have been expelled as a patient at Northcutt Dental Semmes. Now Northcutt refuses to honor their warranty on my existing crowns. read more

Everyone here is absolutely wonderful and treats you as you would wish to be treated! The skill set is to the highest standards, and everyone truly works to make sure patients are well taken care of! It's nice to have one office that offer everything from implants, dentures, root canals, cosmetic crown and bridgework, zoom whitening, children's dentistry, etc! I have been a patient at Northcutt Dental for 5-6 years. My dental insurance pays my cleanings in full, and if it is not covered, I pay in full! Northcutt has never had to send me a bill EVER!I I recently lost a crown (yes it was older) but fully functional. I made an appt. To have Northcutt seat (glue) the crown for me. Imagine my surprise when,after being brought back to the Op, I was told that I HAD to pay the $60 BEFORE they would seat (glue) the crown. I thought they were joking. Mind you, I am 72 years old, and again, I have had 5-6 years of stellar payment and visits. Unfortuneately, they WERE NOT kidding!! They took my Debit Card up front and ran a $60 charge, brought it back for my signature, and finally they GLUED my crown. Now I'm not complaining about the $60.....it was the point of treating a regular patient like they were expecting me to cheat them out of the $60. Really? I could understand if they did not know me, or I had never been in, but I thought it was extremely tacky!!!! You need to check on your policies Dr. Northcutt.....this one is insulting to a faithful patient in good standing!!!!! read more

Ok, the dental group in Fairhope Alabama is very polite and friendly. This is the update to the upper dentures they made from my broken one. I still have sores. She finally did write a prescription for a mouthwash on last visit. Now that they have a lab on sight. Today is May 23, 2016. Yes! I still have sores from the dentures. I haven't been able to get this replacement upper denture readjustment. Totally, not being able to make an appointment. With me going back and forth to Virginia for illnesses. The mouthwash she prescribed did help. However, no refills and there isn't a CVS where my parents live. The dentist and all the staff members are very polite and they do try to accommodate. Most of all, they are clean and now have an on-sight lab. Hopefully, I can get this adjusted soon. Do ask for the mouthwash. It does help. Be sure to ask for refills because one bottle isn't enough. Apparently, they don't believe in any actual pain relief for mouth sores...during or afterwards. Overall, the experience has improved with the on-sight lab making the upper dental plate. Just wished that she gave at least a refill on the magic mouthwash. I really need that with the mouth sores still going on in the roof of the mouth. Man oh man, does it hurt. Looking forward to eating a steak soon. Hell, I settle for biting though a toasted sandwich or a wrap! read more

Great staff, beautiful offices and superior skills! This is by far the best dental practice I have ever been to. The office staff is very friendly and welcoming. The lobby is very comfortable; they have two big plush couches to sit on in addition to standard chairs. The downside is, the wait is so minimal, they you will be getting right back up from the couch just as you are starting to get comfortable! The hygienist was general yet thorough in her cleaning, and did an excellent job explaining things to me. I definitely recommend this practice! read more

Dr. Tracy is superior in every way. She's especially good with adults like me who "fear" dentists. I have overheard her working with small children. If I had experienced a Dentist with her gentle and caring attitude when I was a child, I would indeed have been one very fortunate kid! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I went for an initial visit and had an exam and cleaning. I couldn't believe that they said I had ten problems that needed immediate fixing including cavities and fillings that needed replacing. I haven't had a cavity in years and wasn't sure so have since been to two other dentists who have all assured me that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my teeth. This place has a slick atmosphere (it almost feels like a spa inside), but it is a complete rip off and I wouldn't go near it if my teeth depended on it. read more

I went in to the office for a cleaning on 11/17/16. My family and i have been paitents of Northcutt for about two years now, but i have never gotten a basic cleaning at Northcutt and had to go home and immediately brush and floss my teeth. I recently got braces, and expected better hygiene practices from the person cleaning my teeth. She did not floss my teeth, which is very important with braces, she didnt even let me rinse with mouthwash. On top of that i had water running out the side of my mouth and had to wipe my mouth and face with my hands. What an awful experience with this practice. Prior to this experience i brag on this practice to my family. That one employee who took half of 5 minutes to half clean my teeth makes the entire practice look unprofessional. I came in the office for a simple cleaning and didn't get what was paid for. read more
