Love, love, love this store!! I've been going to this location for the past 5 years and it just keeps getting better. The quality of merchandise, variety, collections are beautiful and all the staff are so helpful and friendly! They greet you with a happy welcome and a smile offer their assistance if needed and periodically check on you to make sure you're finding what you need. Since Covid, they have set up extra protection, wear masks and have signs posted about having to have a mask before entering. I highly recommend this location, I've never walked away unhappy!! Seems my review was taken down, is that allowed to happen?! I was honest and factual. As a Yelper, I am truly excited to turn everyone on to Yelp. It exposes great and not so great businesses alike. I always read reviews and if businesses are tech savvy, they see me walking in the door. This Hallmark, Rachael's or Amy's, as the receipt reads, are not in the slightest bit tech savvy. I was very excited to learn that this Hallmark was on the "Cash Back" businesses near me. In all of my enthusiasm I opened up the conversation at the register asking how it worked, being this was my first time applying it. You should have seen the look on those women's faces, they were horrified as if they had to take 7% out of their cash registers and cashback me. No one knew what cash back businesses meant on yelp they called the owner of this Hallmark, she didn't know what that status meant but they had an utter look of disgust on their faces. To take it further their body language amongst themselves was one of complete mistrust. Here I was, buying merchandise from their antiquated, sparse excuse of a retailer and they shiftily looked at me as if I was trying to scam them personally out of 7%. Really ladies? To further add insult to injury and have my review removed because you've made yourselves look bad is as ridiculous and cheap as your store. Yelpers, I am not the first nor will I be the last to say this: Save your money and integrity by forgoing this biased, superstitious, insecure has-been of a store. I remember it in its hey-day, it was a grand store. Fully stocked with all kinds of candies and chocolates. They had the most fabulous trinkets and collectible Knick-knacks. Those days are gone, no more stopping in and picking out unique gifts that's everyone cherished for years to come. This current hallmark leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully this review serves to enlighten and constructively challenge this business to cultivate some semblance of class. I had 20 minutes prior to another appointment, ran in for a low end price point gift, meaning under $20. Several women asked me if I needed help and offered suggestions. I found a patio item that worked as a gift, they offer no gift wrapping and they asked me to join the Hallmark marketing program. Check out was very slow, but perhaps the staff person who was young was learning the system. I found items to be more than triple key which means prices were at the high end of every item I looked at. They did have a nice selection of lots and lots of stuff, too much stuff. The store felt cramped with an overflow of merchandise. I liked the pjs and Yellow Box shoes and they actually had small sizes which I snagged a pair. Have never shopped in a store where the left shoe is kept in a back room. Shrinkage is a problem for retailers. An ok experience IMO. read more

Terrible customer service at this location. I went to this location to purchase a few Mother's Day cards. I walked in the store I was not greeted or acknowledged by the two store clerks. I observed and listened to the old white racist looking clerk speak to every customer that walked in the store, they also asked if others needed help. I purchases 5 Mother's Day cards and felt as if I was an outkast at this place. Ill never go back to this location again. My guess is that some people are just plain stupid and stuck in their ways. read more

The ladies in there were great, very helpful and friendly. They offered suggestions and made general conversation. They really know their product well also. I was just in the Rachels hallmark on 1960 and Eldridge. There was a woman working who was training a new employee. I could not help but overhear how she was talking to this new employee. Degrading and talking to her like she had no brains at all in her head. I understand that you need to train someone to do things correctly but I don't believe talking to them in such a rude manner will get you the results you are looking for. read more

I've been a customer for over 10 years. I will never walk back in that store again. The new manager (Debbie I believe) needs to learn how to control her employees. I've always felt a bit of rudeness from one specific lady. Watched her get aggravated at a new employee trying to learn. The fact I stood there for approximately 15 minutes. Only to have to void my transaction and start over again. Then another 5 with them reviewing my coupons provided by hallmark via USPS questioned? Really? The treated me like I was trying to scam them. I was already under a great deal of personal stress with a medical issue. It was a horrible experience and now I'll be taking my business to Trudy's. I'm sure it will be worth it. Also they do stalk you in this store. To point your not being helped your being made to feel like a criminal. read more

Came in for after Christmas ornaments and was happy I did, thought I was going to miss out on everything but they still had a nice supply! Everything was very organized and clean and both gals working were super nice, especially the young lady. We had an issue with a purchase and called in to try to get the situation corrected. The manager was rude and was absolutely no help. When I attempted to call back to see what our options were they never answered the phone. I seriously pressed redial over 50 times and continuously getting the busy tone. As a paying customer it's never ok to be mistreated. It's never ok for people to be rude unnecessarily. We will never return to this location. read more
