My daughter has been happy with Dr. Kramer over 12 years, since she was one day old! Today my husband received a letter from the office firing our daughter. She is not allowed to make appointments in the practice anymore. I am heartbroken after building trust for so many years. We believe we were banned from the office because my husband wanted to ask the doctor a question about my daughter's recent adolescent appointment. But we don't know for sure because we can't get through to Dr Kramer and he was not able to ask the question. I suggest avoiding this practice because of the unpredictable office staff who will ban kids at the drop of a hat. I don't know how to tell my daughter her doctor does want to see her anymore. read more

I was very unimpressed with not only the office itself. It was not designed like a normal pediatricians office. The office was hot (no ac) and dirty. the seats and toys were very dirty and I had an appointment and had left early from work and picked them up early from school to bring my two sons 4 & 6 years old). My 4 year old had a urinary issue and I needed him checked out immediately. I arrived on time and was filling out the paperwork. They brought us to a very back room so tiny. It was so hot I was sweating. the boys were getting reckless because we wound up waiting in there for 40 minutes. I went out and asked the nurse how much longer and she said the Dr. is the only one on and they were very busy. I told her that I had been waiting 40 minutes and my kids are small. If I knew it would take this long I would've gone to a different pediatrician. Finally an hour and a half later the pediatrician comes in. I tell her it was hard waiting in that hot room and she rolls her eyes and says nothing except well, "you are more than welcome to go to another practice if you don't like this one." I said I definitely will, but I need you to examine my son since I made an appointment and we've been waiting all this time. She checked him over and said she needed a urine sample. Since we had been waiting so long and I already took him to the bathroom twice, I took him he was barely able to go. o she told me I needed to go home refill a cup of his urine and braing back so they could send to a lab. Seriously? 1 and a half hours and she told me to come back another time with his sample? I made an appointment with a different doctor. Not a good experience at all. read more

Dr. Kramer has a very comforting air about her. Soft spoken, easy to talk to and really takes her time with you and your kid. I chose her without even meeting her, based on yelp reviews, and the first time i met her was in the hospital after my baby was born. (Dr. Araya too when Dr. Kramer was unavail, and she was also awesome). I had extreme pain breastfeeding for the first 6 weeks. She really encouraged me with the pumping on top of nursing, and my baby never had any formula. She always spends a good amount of time after each exam to speak with me about my baby's mental and physical developments, which I wasn't expecting. She never rushes me, and in fact, I feel like I'm the one rushing! (I know how busy she is, and I hate to take up too much of her time!) She is VERY pro-vaccine, so if you don't want the full schedule then you won't be cool with this office. They mandate almost all of them. She does follow a staggered schedule though, so instead of doing 4 or 5 at once every couple months, they do 2-3 every month. parking is almost always available on the nearby residential streets for free. read more

Too bad Dr. Kramer only sees kids! She's wonderful. We've been going to her for 6 years with 2 kids - both from birth. She has an amazing bedside manner in which she can always find a way to make you feel okay about your parenting or childcare even if she is still recommending a change of some kind. For check-ups, you always get some very focused private time in her office to review the big picture stuff about your child and ask any lingering questions. The office has an amazing policy of allowing you to call in about your concerns and speak to a doctor who then decides whether you should come in that day or wait X amount of time. It's very comforting and saves a lot of potentially wasteful trips. They also are very cool about the after hours calls. The couple of times we've ever needed too Dr. Kramer (or the other on-call doctors) never made us feel guilty or foolish. If you care about breastfeeding she is a CLE (Certified Lactation Educator) and that's huge if you want to be sure you are getting full support and correct information about how the process is going. Some pediatricians really screw this up for new parents. There are maybe 3 other doctors in the office and we really like 2 of those. If the kids are sick, however, and need to see someone ASAP, all of the docs are fine. This office is a pretty long drive for us, BUT we knew that from the get go. One reason we were okay with the distance from the time we first decided to go here was that we knew they were excellent at managing their office (based on a friend that uses another doctor). it's always been true. For a check-up, we have never had to wait. That really is impressive thing after 6 years. read more

The best pediatrician in this office! Sometimes one of the other doctors sees our daughter when Dr. Kramer isn't in but the bedside manner is not the same. She has a very natural way of communicating with the little ones. She talks to them like actual people. It was weird to me at first when my baby was 2 days old ha ha but I see now how it forms their relationship. She always spends whatever time we need to ask questions. And the rest of the office is great too. I've never had to wait for very long in the office. We've moved but plan on keeping my now 3yo here. Possibly bringing the 2nd one in to the fold as well :). read more

The nurses and medical staff have great customer service skills and there is rarely a wait. There is even a separate door for those that are sick. Dr. Kramer is an amazing doctor. She is patient, kind, so gentle and wonderful with our son. She takes the time to make sure we understand what is developmentally appropriate, addresses any concerns thoroughly, etc. I like that during a check up, she does the exam and then you sit down in her office to chat about health, development, etc. This all being said, her appointments fill up fast and well in advance!! As such, we have seen every other doctor in the practice at least once and prefer Dr. Arraya. We have waited a long time (45mins one time) between the time we were brought into the room until the time the doctor came in - but that appt wasn't with Dr. Kramer and I therefore can't dock stars for that. The nurses are all very helpful as well, however recently it seems they brought on someone new and I wasn't thrilled with the way she spoke to me over the phone when I was trying to reschedule an appt. Since I'm not reviewing The Pediatric Group, again, I can't dock stars for that either. Parking stinks ;) read more

Dr. Kramer is a fantastic pediatrician. We met her on a good friend's recommendation and have been so happy since. She takes plenty of time with our baby during our visits, is really supportive of me and my wife (who can worry a bit much at times). On top of that, she's a licensed lactation consultant and provided such wonderful support and advice as we were learning how to best breastfeed. You can't go wrong bringing your baby here. read more

Dr. Kramer is amazing. I interviewed so many different pediatricians, and I decided to go with Dr. Kramer because not only is she super knowledgeable and kind, she takes the time to get to know you and your child. She is helpful and answers all your questions without making you feel like you're wasting her time. She meets with you and your child in her office afterwards to catch up, answer any questions, and make you feel like you're doing a good job as a parent (which is important!!). Her nurses are awesome, upbeat, fun and very good at what they do. Dr. Kramer is really great. read more

My three year old twins get so excited when we have a doctor appt. We have seen both Dr. Kramer and Dr. Araya and they are both amazing at what they do. I also have a 5 month old who started seeing Dr. Kramer right from birth and I couldn't be happier. On top of being born 4 weeks premature and small, my baby lost more than 10% of her weight before we left the hospital. Many pediatricians would have pushed formula pretty hard, but Dr. Kramer was so supportive of my decision to breast feed exclusively. To this day, my baby hasn't had a drop of formula and she is thriving. I love everyone at this office and will continue to come even though we moved a little farther away. read more

pros: certified lactation educator pro breast feeding cons: robertson blvd is metered parking. underground parking garage can be expensive ( i think the max is $15 bucks ) i researched yelp for a good pediatrician finally i narrowed it down to 2 paul fleiss and rachel kramer. my main criteria for a pediatrician is: pro breast feeding and a more holistic less is more approach to medicine. i went with dr. kramer because she has privileges at cedars and the fact that she is a certified lactation education consultant, she is very pro breast feeding. my baby was born 6lbs 6oz by my follow up appointment she was down to 5lbs and dr. kramer did not push formula. i appreciate this approach. so for now although she is very far from my house and parking sucks i will continue care with her for my new baby. read more

My wife and I love it here. Dr. Kramer is an awesome Doctor that takes her time with you and explains everything thoroughly. Being new parents, Dr. kramer is everything we have been looking for. She has a genuine love for children and is awesome when handling a child. Whoever complains about Dr. kramer doesn't know what they are talking about. The office is clean and well kept. The nurses there are just as awesome as Dr. kramer, very helpful and attentive. There are times when we do have to wait but that's how it goes when you are at a medical office. Dr. Kramer is the consummate professional. My son had multiple ear infections and eczema as a baby. Dr. Kramer referred us to a specialist and also recommended speech therapy. He has great skin and has started talking. Thumbs WAY up for her supportive staff - they are articulate women who know how to hustle. If it was grade school, Dr. Kramer would be the first I'd pick to be on my team. Dr. Kramer is wonderful! I took my 2 sons to her from birth to 3 years (until we moved out of the area). My favorite things about her was her manner with the kids. She's gentle and respectful and takes her time in each visit. She talks through all concerns and questions. (There's a childcare philosophy called RIE that I feel is similar to her approach). The nurses are great. And I've spoken to the other doctors over the phone when I have questions and Dr. Kramer wasn't available and they were good too. A few things I just read in the reviews: Parking - I always parked one block over (on Clark - free, street parking and always spots available) and walked. It was alway less than 5 minutes walk and never bothered me. The office - OK, it's not state-of-the-art and sterile -- but I was always more concerned with the doctor, not the office. There are cute murals on the wall, toys to play with in Dr. Kramers office while you're talking. Wait times - In 3 years I had a long wait maybe 1 or 2 times. I feel it's understandable. Dr. Kramer is a really wonderful and caring pediatrician - part of a fantastic practice with three caring doctors and great nurses (and a pair of identical twin nurses!). My wife and I moved to the east side of town and recently switched to a nearby pediatric practice, but we seriously considered staying with Dr. Kramer despite the long drive across town. Particularly good for first time parents - Dr. Kramer will teach you the ropes so that you can focus on being a good parent. Highly recommended. I know that's frustrating, but if you note all the positive reviews talk about how she spends time with each and every patient and their parents to talk about health and development. I was going to THE PEDIATRICS GROUP of BH since my son was born for more than 3 years now. I was regularly seeing Dr. Rachel Kramer. Today I waited for almost an hour with my 2 kids, I got so frustrated and for the first time went to the front desk to get my money back for today's visit and call a house doctor for my sick kids. As im walking out Dr finally comes in, so I stay. When I shared my frustration with my Dr who I thought we had a great relationship with, she simply told me that if I wasn't happy to go find another doctor's office. I don't know what to think of this, the Doctors at the Pediatrics group in BH have been following my family for years and this is how they treat me, I don't ever want to go back. I am so disappointed in her response and attitude with me after so many years. To make things worse, when I went to see the nurses at the front to get my money back for today's office visit, they didn't even care to say "we apologize for the long wait - it's been really busy". Nothing at all, they just looked for their credit card machine to issue me a refund. I mean I thought these people who have been following my family for years and know us well would care enough to keep us and make us happy. Terrible experience. read more

Dr. Kramer is a wonderful pediatrician. We are so blessed to have her. The other doctors are also exceptional. Her staff and nurses are great. They are friendly and always very pleasant. I have to say the twin nurses are fantastic. They never fail to ask you if you have been helped even when they are busy. That speaks volumes. They greet you with a smile always. Dr. Kramer is the most amazing pediatrician. She was recommended by my OBG/YN. I still remember the first visit in her office, how gentle and caring she was with my newborn. She doesn't dismiss any questions or concern parents have. Even when it comes to questions about vaccines, she explains everything in detail. After the physical check up, vaccination, she invites you to her office where your child plays as she talks to you, recommend books, talks about your child's development. I drive from Glendale to Beverly Hills to see her and I wouldn't have it any other way. The office is always clean, the stuff super professional and nice. There is 0 wait time, if my appointment is at 10:00 am that's when my child is seen, no unnecessary additional waiting like some other offices. I have called after hours and always been helped immediately. To top it off, my toddler absolutely loves Dr. Kramer and looks forward to her doctor appointments! read more
