Walked in on a Saturday afternoon, there were a few other customers in the store. It is a fairly small boutique, nobody greeted me. I saw at least one or two employees walking around the store. At no point did anybody ask me if I needed help with anything, or even so much as say hello or welcome. Selection is mostly dated and I probably wouldn't go back. read more

Awful experience. Horrible nasty people running this place. My gf and I went there last week. What you have to know about her is she collects vintage clothing and runs a million dollar company. But we were dressed like normal people. Me in shorts and sneakers and a t-shirt. She asked to try on a 800$ dress. She was asked first if she was going to buy it. Dunno. Let's see how it fits and looks first. "No, this is an expensive dress, too expensive for you, if you're not going to buy it you can't try it on." You're kidding right? Arrogant, snotty, condescending, pretentious staff/owner. Really? you work in a tiny consignment store. And you sit back and judge people from looks if they can afford your stuff or not? You judge people on their appearance? Was my hair too long? Not shaved? Was she not thin enough? Did she look too jewish? How dare you insult and humiliate people like this. My gf was crying in the car after this. Never been treated like this. She's now using words like "I'm too ugly, or too dumpy." It's been a week and this is still upsetting her. And me. How dare you do this to people. Shame on you. No one should patronize your shop and give support to your mean, nasty, hurtful behavior. We stumbled upon this Boutique while visiting relatives and were shocked by the vast selection of high end merchandise. Every item we saw was in very good condition and so fairly priced (Compared to retail) we couldn't resist buying presents for our daughters (Who both are very brand conscious but thrifty). Rachelle filled the bill on both accounts! We bought 2 Bags and several scarfs. Our daughters, 1 a lawyer and the other a tech exec., loved! All they had to say is when can we go? NO STARS!! I visited the store this morning and immediately found two dresses I attempted to hand to the sales clerk to try on. She asked if I had a budget. I said, Well don't we all! She told me how expensive they were. I replied, "So, I shouldn't even look"?!? She said, No, you don't understand they are really, really, high end. I turned and walked out. She chased me down the street to tell me again, I didn't understand. She wasn't trying to insult me, honestly! I told her I had purchased items from the store several times and I would HONESTLY, NEVER come back!! This stupid sales clerk has made me feel so bad. I know she's not with it. I am giving this consignment store 0 as in zero stars( but they make you rate it to submit your review so I begrudgingly am giving it one star). I went there today with a Brooks Brothers Black Fleece woman's pants suit never worn and purchased in 2007. Upon opening the door I was "greeted" with 'Do you have an appointment? I don't look at anything without an appointment'. This by a gentleman who clearly wasn't in the mood to welcome us or interested in making us feel comfortable. He spent exactly 5 seconds looking at the label and then haughtily pronounced that his "clientele" wouldn't be interested. I couldn't wait to get out of there soon enough. Would I go back to either purchase or bring in an item? Only if I wanted an interaction with the most condescending and rude salesperson I have ever met. read more

If you have something nice, don't leave it with them! I brought in a $2500 Gucci dress, with tags, that I bought from Saks. It was worn once. The staff ogled the dress and declared that it would be a hit during black tie season, which is through New Years Eve. I said I'd leave the dress under a few conditions: that I got it back if it didn't sell. That it was not to be discounted below $800. That it was not o be donated. I was "yessed" right out the door and that was the last time I ever saw the dress. I came back after black tie season since they had said they wanted it for that duration and they said they had just pulled it off the floor but couldn't find it. But that they had the Gucci hanger and Gucci dress bag out. I followed up with phone calls to other staff and the owner, who all had no idea where it was. I was out of town so I couldn't physically go back into the store... when I finally did, I was told by the owner that I signed a contract and didn't pick up my dress in November (which is before black-tie season) so tuff titties, basically. As I was standing there with the staff member just shrugging their shoulders ‍ I noticed a few of my other dresses on the rack nearby that were consigned around the same time. So in short, my cheaper dresses can be easily located since they are still on the racks but my very expensive, basically new Gucci dress that they requested to keep through black tie season just disappears? Theft. I feel robbed. Yes I signed their generic contract but this was not a J Crew tee shirt, we had a verbal agreement that my dress was to be returned to me if it didnt sell, period. I had specifically asked them to note in their system that it was not to be donated. And they agreed, after saying it should stay there throughout black tie season. The lesson for me is to never trust a consignors word or sign their contracts again. So, if you have clothes that you don't care about and are ok with donating... go ahead and drop it off. If you have expensive, valuable clothes that you don't want to just give away, don't trust them. read more

The selection here is so nice and unique. They constantly get new stock in so I always want to pop in to see what treasures I'll find. Well priced as well. Shelly was so sweet, friendly and helpful. I bought a vintage Louis Vuitton bag for my mother and she went out of her way to show me how the bag was authenticated. read more

Stopped in here looking for a possible gift. Prices are ridiculously high across the board for a consignment shop and staff is somewhat condescending for no reason. It's really just an extremely high-end thrift shop that thinks it's a boutique because it carries couture. Designer clothes or not, you can absolutely do better at many other stores. Also note that not long after this honest review was posted, several 5-star reviews suddenly appeared, all but one from the nearby area, and all praising the place to the heavens. Nice store. Great variety of items from selected designers. Prices are on the high side. Be sure to check out every inch of what you buy, I bought a pair of frye boots ($180 I spent) to get home and see that they had been repaired, and it was an obvious repair job. All sales are final so definitely check before you purchase. read more

Beautiful clothing, terribly rude owner. I wish I could post the voicemail she left me on Yelp for all to hear! I was flabbergasted. Here's what happened... I had asked her to put me on a list for a particular item (a pricey bag) and she gave me the roundabout about how she simply could not, because their list is just too long. She knew very well the item I was looking for would cost me 2k on consignment, so I was shocked. She went on and on about how she simple "could not." When I finally said "ok thank you I'll try my luck elsewhere" and hung up, not 5 minutes later did I receive the rudest voicemail of my life! From a shop owner! I was in such shock. In the voicemail she was scolding me for being so rude as to hang up on her! I couldn't help but laugh - I've never been in such a ridiculous situation in my life, and I'll never set foot in that store again. I ended up calling Revivals Boutique in Narberth. They were so sweet and helpful! read more

Let me give you the skinny on Rachelle's. It is a Designer/Couture Resale Boutique. I visited the store for the first time with my mother the week of Christmas 2014. Although small, I found the store to be clean, organized and very inviting. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and at times overly attentive . Because I am very familiar with designer clothing I found their prices to be reasonable considering that is it is DESIGNER CLOTHING. If you are looking for a bargain basement deal, no it's not for you. Perhaps you will visit Green Street down the street from Rachelle's but for someone who wants a designer/couture wardrobe you will find this boutique well worth the trip. The biggest problem I find with reviews is often people who are not fully aware are quick to make judgments. No I don't know the owner or the staff in fact I live in North Carolina and was just home for the holidays. read more
