I appreciate the courage it took to publish a story that exposed a less than flattering element of local society. Current invoice for advertising placed in November for December of 2025 shows total amount due over 120 days. The account was paid in full in February of 2026. Have tried leaving phone messages, e-mails, and letters - to original contact, supervisors and editors: no response. (One letter was addressed to "Dear Brick Wall". Nothing. Nada. Zilch.) read more

Don't sign up for the digital Journal times because they won't let you cancel. First they said the cancelled and indeed I did not get the emails any longer that included the newspaper. However they continued to charge my credit card. When I called to ask to have the charge reversed they gave me the run around acting as though they can't locate my account. While they are unable to locate my account when I speak to them they are adept at charging my credit card. read more

Who is running the Journal Times? I'm horrified by their business operations and concerned by their customer service. I paid a one month subscription to get digital access to an old article. Once I signed up and got access to the specific page I found the link to that article was broken. Frustrated but accepting that finding a 10 year old article was a leap I just made sure to cancel my subscription, delete my payment information, and move on. Well a month later a $19.99 charge came through on my card for a year subscription. I contact customer service, they apologized for the mischarge and told me to expect my refund in 10-20 business days. A long time compared to most places, but again I accepted it. It's now been 30 days. I reached back out to customer service and was told that whoever I spoke with misspoke and since I paid with Apple Pay the refund had to be mailed as a physical check and could be expected in 90 days. The real kicker is I don't have apple pay. Don't have any apple products. I have proof of purchase directly from Journal Times on my card. If a check shows up in my mail in 3 months I'll be honestly shocked. They are sketchy. The way they handle their business operations is sketchy. Seriously reconsider before entering any payment information on their site and keep a close eye on your bank account. read more

I called to cancel my subscription in December. They did not process the cancellation. When I determined that this cancellation was not processed, I called and they said that there was nothing that they could do. Be careful about subscribing with their services because they do not cancel when you ask them to do so. They then fail to refund your money when you discover their error. read more

I feel this is just a big SCAM. Never signed up for the paper, yet have been charged $19.99 per month over the past 3 months. When emailed, they told me they had an 'outage', that I would get refunded when back online. Today, 6 weeks later, and charged again, NO refunds, and a $25 fee to cancel a subscription I never started, never received... A complete SCAM. read more

Awful just AWFUL! The Racine Journal Times billed me for a subscription that I never ordered. I don't live anywhere near that city and don't know anyone in that area, so why would I want their paper...? The company billed me 6 times in one month and when I called them the foreign call-center said I didn't cancel on time, so no refund. How can I cancel 'on time' if I never ordered the paper..? I can't believe how many times we do not get a newspaper. Why are we paying for a newspaper when we can't enjoy it in the morning. It's almost 1:00 in the afternoon and we are still waiting for it. Additionally, when we give their automatic service our house number, they link it to our home number, and they have the wrong phone number listed. When the machine asks it that is the right phone number and we say no, they hang up saying, "Our office is closed Saturdays and Sundays or we would give you to a customer service rep. Call us another time." We are not one of those special deals of $1.00 to try the Journal Times for 6 months....we have been paying a good amount for many years. We have been a good customer and want to support the newspapers, which are fast going out of business. But this newspaper is not holding up their service to us. They are going to put themselves out of business all on their own. We are a hair away from calling it quits FOREVER!!!! Either you want to run a business professionally or want to run it like a Grade School newspaper. It is up to you. One will draw customers the other will put you out of business very quickly. For weeks my family has been calling to make sure the newspaper gets delivered and we are ALWAYS offered an extension for the service THAT WE DONT RECEIVE. Instead of a refund or the paper actually being delivered we just get a "free" additional day of having their so called services. We just want the paper to be delivered. That's is what we are paying for and that DOES NOT HAPPEN. Does anyone know how to actually get the paper delivered??? We are just wasting our money. I have been a long-time subscriber for the simple reason that I enjoy local news stories that are not covered on local/ national television programs. I do think that since they started printing the paper in another state the hometown feel has been reduced. I know the industry is changing with time, but It's just not the same. On top of that, I can't imagine how much more this paper will increase in price. I recently received a notice that my monthly subscription will increase to $90.00/ month! Quite honestly, I find this hard to absorb. I enjoy the paper, but at what cost? At this rate, you are competing with the cost of medications. I am aware that there is an online version, but reading online for long periods is not comfortable for me. Sometimes I feel the Journal Times wants me to switch to online because it is cost effective for them. This may be true, but this does not serve long-term customers well. My 4-star rating reflects the many years of decent service and good reporting. read more

Talked with Supervisor Karen last week about missing papers. Received call from District Manager Michelle - told me she would solve the issue anD call the carrier. Once again NO PAPER TODAY.....Called today talked to csr rep Jason. He said there is no supervisor named Karen......When I get a call back today from Karen - or whom ever I am cancelling. Customer service is the worst I have ever seen. Paper not being delivered at all so they say it will be brought out and it isn't. They say some one will call and they don't. A manager is suppose to call me and no call. I would recommend that NO ONE EVER GET THIS PAPER AS THE SERVICE AND DELIVERY IS PATHETIC!!!!!!!!! Order this paper and you will regret it!!!!
