The decor is rather minimal and unassuming. It's not the type of place to pose on either. You come in, you play pool and you have fun kicking each others butts. Don't come here expecting to see a trendy darkly lit pool hall with poser kids. This is for real people who just want to play some honest pool. Life is great when places like these exist and keep on existing. The place is clean, nicely lit and the staff is extremely hospitable. I love this place and I will keep on playing pool here. The waitress was terrible. Seemed lazy and distracted. I think her name was Vinicya. I ordered a grill cheese with tomato soup. The order took quite some time to come. The soup was good but the sandwich tasted like it had been sitting there for awhile. I had to wait at the bar for approx 10 minutes to get my bill. I, actually, thought about bailing and stiffing her with the bill. I got the bill and inquired why my lunch was $16.50 instead of the menu price of $14.00. Oh, she told me there is now a $2.50 upcharge for soup? There went her tip, which she did not earn anyway. I am a Pharmaceutical Sales person who has had several CME Dinner meetings at this location. The service and food has always been very good. Based on today, I will refrain from using this venue again and will make colleagues aware of the decline in food and service.

When our server did arrive, her service was swift. I hate it when servers do not write down orders. A wrong entree was served. The runner who delivered the meals read the tkt to us - our server had completely botched the order for Thai chicken and entered salmon. It was replaced swiftly and the salmon was comp'd and boxed for take-out. Food arrived swiftly. My ribeye was tasty and properly prepared, served warm-ish. This was NOT a steakhouse quality steak - maybe 5/8th inch thick. Maybe. The broccoli was steamed and kind'a, sort'a warm-ish. The mashed potatoes were delightful - again, warm-ish. I had to ask for a refill of my beverage. TAP is a sports bar with a sports bar vibe and sound level. Not my choice, but I was a good guest and did not fuss. When it was time to leave; I was a bit lost. 0:3 security workers were able to direct me to the parking garage's west entrance. Will I return? Only if others insist that I join them.
