After your item sits for more than a month, you can go retrieve it, covered in dust and dented and scratched. And then the lighting ladies will clutch their pearls and act astonished that this whole scenario may, in fact, have UPSET you, the potential customer. But that's your mistake. When our 10 year old LG refrigerator just failed, I called them to take a look at it to see if it could be salvaged or if we're looking at buying a new one. They wanted to me to prove that I had purchased it from them - which we had. But they could not find me in their customer database. Apparently they did a file purge a few years ago when they updated their software, so now I no longer exist. I had to take all my invoices for the many items we had purchased from them to prove that we were a customer. Fortunately I still had them! This is ridiculous in a relatively small town - so much for any resemblance of customer service! Then, to top it off, they told me it would be over a week before they could have someone from the service department take a look at it! Not very practical when we have it full of food that is thawing/warming up. Then to top it off, one of their customer service people - using the term loosely - called me "Bud". That is not my name and I view it has a derogatory term. Later that morning we contacted another local appliance store and they delivered a new refrigerator the same evening. That is outstanding customer service. The folks at Karl's could take a few lessons!
