Quickly becoming a Sears and RadioShack clone. Most employees I've interacted with are rude or not knowledgeable. They have a lot of appliances now, but to get the best price you need an expensive membership. (You're honestly better off shopping at Home Depot or Lowe's for appliances as their prices are similar and don't require a membership). They've eliminated the movies section and their video games section is going the same way it looks like, so if you bring kids they get bored quickly. Miserable experience. HELP!!!!! I was due an refund an refund since 9/2023, after not receiving a check they stated I would receive in 11/2/23 I telephone Best Buy to let them know I haven't received this check the check came two days later, they had already stopped payment on it, (due to my phone call) I informed them I received the check they then told me I must wait 7-10days investigation period, They kept trying to post this money to my son's checking acct in which he is an authorized user and my name is not on his checking acct. he uses his checking acct to make payments, I informed them this ACH transition cannot be done through his ( authorized user) checking acct my name is not on his checking acct, They refused to put this transition through my checking acct they claimed they mailed it again 11/4/2023, to no avail and again 1/16/24 again no avail...this is now 5/17/2024 and I'm still asking Acct Mgr Johnathan to send me my refund, although he stated it was mailed 1/16/24 I have yet to receive it, however they sent a new Best Buy card that was sent to me in which I received with no problem, but never this refund check for 615.47, I'm a senior citizen I have and great credit score and I never been late with my Best Buy acct, it's at 0 balance and has been for mos. now I sick and a agitated regarding this matter if there's anything anybody could suggest I do PLEASE tell me....I said to acct mgr you still have these funds in your possession and you need to investigate where the check is from 1/16/2024 and its now 05/17/2024 it way over the 90 days for expiring...This is money is mine what can possibly be the problem read more

I need a new for my iphone 7 . The listed phone number is no good. If you call (605) 334-0003 you get a recording : " we are currently not taking calls at this time at this location". I went through the useless voice recognition asking for ggek, squad, iphone, battery, phone battery, etc. Finally hit 0 - got a snotty male - He is in Seattle, I am in Sioux Falls. He refused to put me through to the Geek Squad here but was more than willing to make an appointment after a non-refundable $100 deposit even though I have no idea if they have a battery or can change it. Last year when Covid started they closed their doors and took on-line orders only for pick up only. Our dishwasher crapped out - but we were not allowed in the store to see, feel and evaluate the models. We bought an $800 Bosch on sale at a local appliance store. In October our 40 " TV quit - again not allowed in the store so we went to Target - looked at the display models and bought a 4K OLEO LED. in November we bought ourselves each a new latest iPad at the Apple web site. Overall this is a smaller Best Buy than what you would find in bigger cities. With that said you can still find most of what you need except customer service. When you need assistance it is very hard to find, i have stood at the store before for 30 mins without getting acknowledged at all. Best buy, my electronics home for my necessary and unnecessary products. I'm not overly surprised at some of the lower starred reviews and can understand why. If anyone in their leadership reads these reviews I hope they take notice of why many people are unhappy. I will be the first to say I absolutely love this store and the products they offer. I'm a total electronics and gadget nerd. I could probably live there. The problem isn't with the products offered. They are high quality. Yeah some things are pricey but if a customer doesn't have enough sense to not buy the platinum engraved $34 HDMI cord when you can get one from eBay for $3.99 don't blame the store, do your research people! Leadership listen up! The problem with your store is the customer service/experience. I don't know what it is, but the employees are not good at reading your customer base. Often times I am left waiting in an area for over 15 minutes without being acknowledged if I have any sort of question. Last December I wanted to purchase remote start for my car. I went to Best Buy and found many options. I waited for 15 minutes just waiting for someone to basically convince me to spend $500 on something I wanted, but had questions over. It would have been a slam dunk sale. I was ready to go, had the money, and was willing to fork it over that day. Not a single person offered assistance that day and I left with no money spent. That lack of customer acknowledgement lost a sale and irritated a loyal customer. Now I haven't been treated rudely by any staff and have at times received great service. However, there have been far too many times where I have been completely ignored and not felt valued. If you can fix this you easily have 5 stars from me and probably many other happy customers. I'll still come back, but it's because I know what I'm looking for I can get in get out pretty quick. Never will I buy anything from Best Buy again. I purchased a tablet cover online, with curbside pickup, and wanted to verify that it would fit my tablet. One question: will this cover fit my tablet? After an hour, and three transfers, I got an affirmative answer. I said that I ought to get a discount for my inconvenience. I was told by Adolfo that I would receive a 15% discount, which would be credited back to my card. It's been a week and no discount. The cover does not fit my tablet. I called to request a refund. I told the young man that I'm in a wheelchair, cannot walk at all, and could I please have the money credited back to my card, and have someone come to my vehicle and pick up the cover. No, I would have to come inside. He would have a member of management call me. This was three days ago. The actual store isn't taking calls at this time. You talk to a call center. This place consistently has about the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It is acceptable up until there is any issue to be dealt with and then they either incredibly rude or just simply impossible to get a hold of. My son purchased a dorm fridge on-line and it came with significant damage. Tried calling 3 times and was on hold for 15-25 minutes each time with no one ever picking up and the entire time was listening to the recording telling me how important and how they prioritize customer service. If I could award this business a half a star, I would. The customer service was disgusting. I did appreciate the greeting upon entry to the establishment but everything after that was poor. All I wanted to do was purchase a computer, a laptop to be specific, for college. Not a big deal, right? Well, I was not greeted when I entered the computer section, that does not bother me. Every business is understaffed, I understand that. And the associate that was already in the computer section was assisting a couple looking to purchase a computer. I made my way around the displays until I had my choices narrowed down to two computers. All I wanted was to ask the difference between the two and have an associate bring the computer out of the back room so I could purchase it. I was waiting patiently for the first associate for probably about ten minutes now. Another customer walks up to a computer display. Instantly a young, male associate greets her and starts helping her. Fine, whatever, that happens. But this male associate continued to fraternize with this young female customer. I left the store, LIVID. I will NEVER return. I took myself and my money, to Office Depot just down the street where I was welcomed and assisted in a PROMPT manner. read more

I have big issues with this store! I purchased a new iPhone 12 online on November 6. Went to pick it up on November 13.. Because of a late truck issue, the only way I could get my phone that day was to cancel my online order and buy (again) the phone in the store. Not a great option but the ONLY way I could get it on my day off. I was promised that I would receive my refund within 72 hours. 4 days later, still no refund. I tried to call the store and what an incredibly frustrating experience! After being on hold for 30 minutes, I was hung up on. Finally I connected with Best Buy online chat - no help at all. Then I actually spoke with a live customer support person who tells me it can take 10 days to get my refund. Outrageous and there is nothing that I can do except warn others. I ordered a Brother printer scanner and toner on their website. It was supposed to arrive on June 30th. When I went online to check the status, it was not ready. I called the published phone number for the store. I was i their VRU loop, then routed to a ringing phone, then back to the VRU, then back to a ringing phone and so one. On their automated system it said they had no order under my phone number or my order number. So I tried to reach a live person again. It is impossible to reach a live person when you call their phone number. After work yesterday I drove to the store and surprise ,surprise, surprise. This is one of the worst Best Buy's we've ever been to. On more than one occasion we walk in this store and get no help. We don't get greeted and we have to hunt down someone to help us. The first time was in March and we bought two large televisions. No help for 40 min. Then once we did get help it was good but purchasing two TVs felt like we were buying a car. I despise this store and shop there only when absolutely necessary. I went to this Best Buy as a favor for a friend to get something for him so he didn't find it necessary to drive 75 miles to this store and then back home again. Lucky me--I'm at Best Buy. It is impossible to find someone to help you at this location. I asked the guy stationed at the front of the store ( who was doing nothing in particular) to page for someone to help me. He said that he would but no one came. I asked another employee for help and she said that she had something else to do first. I asked a third sale person for some help and he said that he was busy but that he could send someone over. I told him that I had already been that route. Funny because none of them really look that busy and most times they are standing and talking in groups among themselves. Finally I got someone to help me and it took all of 30 seconds for her to get the right item out of the locked case so I could pay for it and leave! So, despite my better judgment, I continue to go to Best Buy. Recently, my wife purchased a high-grade laptop for her work, and a few days later, one of the included accessories broke. Since she bought the extended warranty, I took in the broken item for replacement. I was told that my wife would need to return her *** entire *** laptop in order to get the accessory replaced. In addition, no other options were provided. I asked to see a manager and was given the same answer, but with less compassion than I received from the Geek Squad member. The whole experience was negative, and I felt like I was being judged for trying to get the accessory replaced. I walked away feeling angry that I paid them good money. I should have gone to Amazon or Sam's Club. So disappointed. Definitely not buying any more big purchase items from this store again. read more

The manager, Nick, was a total a hole to me and my daughter. He was no help and completely rude. I was told that there was a 15 day warranty on my laptop from a worker last sunday and just yesterday Nick told me I was lying. Who tells their customer that they are lying? He even told me daughter to leave the store and to figure out her own problems. He was very unprofessional and rude to a 17 year old girl. She was just trying to solve her computer problems and either replace for a more simpler laptop or get it fixed. Took it to them and they were going to charge $40 and said it may not fix the problem....why sell the product if you can't support or fix it with Geek Squad or Apple specialists at the store. I ordered a TV from this Best Buy location on the 27 for in store pick-up. Picking up the TV at the store went smoothly and the gentleman that helped me was helpful and polite, so that experience was great. When I took the TV home and began installing it, I realized the box did not have a power cord anywhere. It was already close to 6pm so due to the new store hours I was not able to head back to the store to resolve the issue. When I went back to the store (28), and explained my issue to the customer service worker, he began politely asking if I had looked everywhere for the cord, almost making it seem like I had not done the basic action of looking in the area that I was setting up the TV. He then said that I would need to come back to the store with the TV and they could exchange it which would have been fine but I bought the last one the day prior. He checked the inventory, and realized that I was correct and then said that the next shipment wouldn't be in till the 5th. I explained to him that I didn't want to wait extra days for something that was completely out of my control and he explained that I could just buy a cord. Of course I didn't want to buy a new cord, even despite the low price, because there was supposed to be one in the TV box. I shouldn't have had to pay for a power cord that was originally included in the price of the TV because of manufacture/packing error. Even after purchasing the discounted cord, he made a remark that if I ended up finding the cord that I could return the one I had just bought. Throughout my whole experience, the man helping us was polite and cordial but was not helpful or understanding in anyway and in some ways made it seem like I was making up the issue. I was very surprised and upset about the lack of understanding and will not be shopping at this Best Buy location again. read more

I stopped into Best Buy on a Sunday which is when the new ads come out. It was 5:45 pm and wanted to get a new samsung galaxy S7. They were crazy busy that day and had none left in house. My sales rep and support staff were on their toes and called over to the local mall where there is a Best Buy mobile kiosk that closes at 6pm on Sunday. They had 3 in stock there and had delivered one to the store for me and I did not have to wait until the next day to get the product I wanted. My sales rep and all the store staff went out of their way to ensure I had a great experience with my purchase I did indeed ! Best Buy is my favorite store to shop and have and always will buy my favorite gadgets there ! read more

This is the second Mac I have purchased for my wife, she is a college educator and uses it for alot of online courses. The first one she has had for about 8 yrs so it has lasted for a long time and we bought it at the same Best Buy as this one. We have gotten great service whenever we have come in for anything pertaining to the Macs or for that matter anything else. The staff is very well trained in their departments and they know their stuff and if not they know who to ask. When I go into there to shop I look for certain sales people cuz we have developed a certain relationship with each other. Great place to shop, did I mention, great prices!!! read more

Just left BestBuy after some old guy with white hair and a beard kicked me off an iPad (I was drawing on to test for our graphic design and photography company) because he wanted to make a sale and apparently was judging or was just being a jerk but in the process lost a sale and future sales and recommendations I would give to other patrons, and for what? Honestly ever single iPad looks the same... if you want to share the specs... just share the little printed tab next to everything or know the stuff you are selling. As a business owner who spends 1,000's upon 1,000's there for our company annually will now migrate to Amazon & NewEgg & BH Photo for future larger purchases. I would have left it at the one star review but management apologized and I give big kudos to those young men and women for being friendly and cordial. But thats a bummer experience... go in happy and excited and leave frustrated... just kind a sucked. read more

I really wish that I could rate lower than a one star, and to be fair, I am giving them a one star because of the one employee that actually kind of cared about their job. This place needs to shutdown all it is doing is giving Best Buy a bad name. I walked in to exchange some headphones, and waited at the customer service line for 10 minutes. There were probably six customers in the whole store and tons of staff just standing around. During this time I watched employee after employee walk by and not acknowledge us. Someone finally helped and after explaining that we wanted to exchange, but were not sure if he carried what we needed he stated, "Did you grab them"? I asked if he could check the computer that was in front of his face, and after doing some typing he handed me a receipt and said the money would go back on the card, and told me to go to the online sales rep to order it. (He never asked about what one's we wanted or anything, and made no attempt to help me.) So, I went to go look for them. I asked another employee if he could show me where they were, he walked halfway and pointe in the general direction. Okay... Thanks. I found them and returned back to the customer service center, where I waited in line for another 10 minutes. During this time the person that "helped" previously looked at us and kept walking by. His final destination? Next to his buddy in geek squad where they talked about non-work related crap. I asked for the manager and was pointed to a lead. I turned around, saw the manager and approached him, explaining the situation. He said he would "take care of it" which I highly doubt as he didn't ask for any information about the employees that were not doing their job at all. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. It is clear that at this point the staff are more worried about their social relationships than about their source of income. Best Buy's corporate office needs to either shut this POS down or get all new staff that actually care about making money and keeping their job.
