Jason is communicative, takes his craft seriously, and is fun to work with! He did some panels for our businesses bathroom and we have gotten so many compliments! I found this wood worker through a friend, turns out he is near my home and I have had some misc things that I have been kicking around that I wanted made. I looked at his work and was so impressed that we started with a small serving board made out of rough olive wood. It had no corners, just rough edges and I wanted my boat name etched into it. Whatever magic he used is incredible because it causes people to stop and ask about it every time we use it. Second project was to remake the table tops for the boat since we all work when we are out roaming the waters and the original surfaces had fiddles at every edge, making it very painful on the wrists to work on our computers. We pulled the original table tops (two of them), brought them to him for a template and just told him we needed smooth edges but in the same shape, and they had to withstand sea air. We obviously had a couple previews, took different stains to the boat to compare and finalized everything. I wish I had a photo of the final products because they are SO WONDERFUL!!! Now when we go out (we just returned from 8-days out), we sing praises to Rad Design for being so meticulous and truly making our lives better with our new, beautiful table tops. Third project was a substantial serving board that I had made for my boss who was retiring. I went to his shop and we looked at what he had that was already made, then searched around his shop for other pieces that might work - and off in a corner we found it!! A very imperfect, large piece of olive wood with rough edges and no corners at all. He turned it into a BEAUTIFUL serving board and even etched the thank you from our leadership team that she so deserved. When I brought it into the office for preview, everyone swooned and could not believe how beautiful it was. There is no other like it. This guy has talent and I'm so grateful to have found him! Jason is an excellent artist and craftsman, with attention to detail and knack for getting everything right about the project. Prices are reasonable and turn around time was great. For my project, I had seen a cabinet door he built with epoxy inlay and small, porcelain killer whale beads worked into the epoxy to simulate water. I knew my girlfriend would love something similar, so we went with a charcuterie board. He was out of Live Edge Walnut, so we went with the Mexican Bocote wood, which it pricier but Jason did not add any up-charges (gotta love that!). The finished Product was amazing, my girlfriend loved it, and we will be back for whatever our next wood project might be. Thanks RAD! read more

Jason's creative mastery is so evident in the dining table he crafted that is truly the centerpiece of my home. He intently listened to my initial vision, hand picked the exact wooden boards with me at the store, riffed with me on extra details to really make this special, showed me stages of progress in a timely manner, learned the kintsugi technique (epoxy with gold flakes to fill in natural cracks of the wood), created specialized jigs to achieve the exact design we planned, and made the final delivery seamless.
