Our family LOVES Rad Roots!! Our son started nature school with Rad Roots about 6 months ago and he absolutely loves it! He has blossomed in so many ways- socially, linguistically, his compassion for nature to name a few. Class is three hours and the location rotates between 4 local parks (we're in one of the two east classes so they're mostly in or around La Mesa). The class sizes are intentionally small (two teachers with I think 6-8 kids per class) which allows the teachers to really attune to the unique needs of each kid and get on their level for extra support whenever needed. During class, they do nature crafts, go on nature walks, read, share what they're grateful for, and have lots of time for free play. Ms. Mandy and Ms. Gabby are top notch teachers and just wonderful humans- so trustworthy and genuinely loving of each and every kiddo in the class. Rad Roots provide kids with a foundational love of outdoor exploration, adventure, and creativity. It's so important for kids (and humans in general) to have these foundational experiences that live within us, especially as technology continues to consume us. I'm so grateful for the time, dedication, and love that the Rad Roots team pours into our future generations!

This is a good place to take your kid on a rainy or a chilly day if you wanna get out of the house…read morebut still have an place that is safe and its indoors, so your kid can run around, play and burn some energy. $18 for a kid to enter i found to be a bit high, but there is no set time limit. Its a shoe free area so bring socks, otherwise you will have to purchase. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend to take your kid who is not walking yet or just started to walk. This place is more for toddlers. I would say Gymboree is better for non-walkers or early walkers. Why 3 stars? well, the price and the size of the place. I'm comparing it to a Discovery center in Escondido, which is pretty similar, but X10 bigger with lots of extras. i can see this place would be great for a b-day party. The staff was really nice and energetic.

She also got to participate in staff-led activities (obstacle course, singing, etc). She had a blast and didn't want to leave -- after two hours! I liked the cafe and the available snack options - for kids: apple juice, apple sauce, cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs, and real coffee/mocha/espresso and various baked goods for adults. I think there were also more robust food options. There's free wifi, too. It's a great to chat with a friend while keeping an eye on your kids, safely enclosed in a clean play space catered to imagination and fun. I haven't taken advantage of a Kid's Night Out yet (5-9pm theme-based babysitting for $40 the third Friday of each month) but I plan to soon!

He has forged great friendships since attending the school and has gained so much confidence. The smaller class size foster the ability for teachers, staff & faculty to really get to know their students. Your child is not just a name. They really do care about their students and come alongside them and support them not only academically, or in sports, but also with their Faith. Their academics are on par with other schools. They offer a good variety of sports, and extra curricular activities and clubs. Also a plus is that the school offers a safe environment, the school takes safety very seriously. & We love the Rock Academy and feel blessed to be a part of this great community. Go check them out!

She was going through anxiety about starting a new grade , new school and a whole new group of kids. Not only, did she come home after her first day beaming about how much she loves the new school, but she had made 3 new friends. We felt the love too. The teachers, the whole staff and the Church are incredible. We are so grateful to have found this place. I can't recommend this school enough.

It is very secure, there are multiple gates you open by app and the children are nowhere near the street or public view. The classrooms and playground are clean and have new toys and equipment. The classrooms have air conditioning and are kept tidy. The staff is professional and there were zero incidents in 3 years. The instructors were patient and kind to our child, and she made many friends. There is a good student to teacher ratio. It is so hard to trust strangers with your children, it's a hard decision to make and that first drop off was the worst, but when you see your child smiling and happy to be there, you feel so much better. They also send updates through their app and private social media. And she is learning, not only social skills but getting ready for kindergarten. I suggest this preschool highly but if you're unsure you can always tour the school. The cost is similar to other preschools and they have flexible programs.

When you first become a parent, you don't always realize how challenging it can be to find a quality daycare (or maybe I was just naïve). After extensive research, we found a few places we liked, toured their facilities, and joined their waitlists. Even now--two years later--we still haven't heard back from some of them. My wife eventually came across Holding Hands and scheduled an appointment with Gogo, the owner. We were able to bring our son, see how he interacted with Gogo, and get a feel for the facility. We immediately liked what we saw and everything Holding Hands offered--especially breakfast, which has been a huge time saver for us. We've been with Gogo for about a year and a half now, and our son has grown tremendously. The patience and care Gogo provides are truly exceptional. Our son has made great friends and even better memories. I especially love the daily videos of the kids and seeing what they're learning throughout the day. They help me feel connected to my son, especially on long office days. Thank you, Gogo!
