For some reason he used my ignition switch first, forcing it back and forth till I thought it might get damaged. When I expressed concern he said "You have only two choices..I do this or you get a new ignition switch and they're expensive." WTF? He said he usually uses the helmet lock keyhole or the sidepanel one to make an ignition key, yet only tried those after nearly breaking my ignition switch. And he got nowhere with them. Surly attitude too. When I asked a question he either glared at me like I was an idiot or ignored me. When he admitted he was "at a dead end" I told him I'd just get someone else, he warned me there was only one other smith in town. I fired him and got my mechanic to do it. Took him all of 10 minutes. I'd never call these guys again. The rave reviews here amaze me. Maybe since I'm from Austin where there are dozens of locksmiths and they need to be knowledgeable to stay in biz I'm just used to competence?

Actually was sitting there waiting for me to show up, I drove around the neighborhood a bit in the cool ac of my automobile to cool down my girls. The A1 locksmith was smiling and polite, and greeted my labs. He drilled out the front door lock and removed it for me. I replaced it myself with a very good choice that I am well pleased with. Again, the locksmith was most congenial as he was leaving, and pleasingly bid me good day. Price for service was not hard to swallow. The review by Gena M is a bit disappointing to read. It is not a genuine review of the locksmith service, just a rant of her panties in a wad. The locksmith did not send her call directly to voice mail, his cell phone did that. I cuss mine all too often for making decisions for me, especially typing a text. And note, "every thing she owns was in her truck" .....seems shallow to me.
