The Manager/ Owner, Jaime and his Maintenance guy, Ryan.... are by far the most rude & unprofessional people I've ever met. There's never a returned phone when a question or concern request is submitted. After 5pm. Jaime will no longer answer calls. So we resort to the emailing system .. there again, there's no communication lines. when there's loud unruly neighbors he tells me he's not a babysitter. Residents are not picking up after their dogs nor does the maintenance are cleaning crew..the property is unkept. STAY Away !!!!! there's better places out there!! read more

Stay away! The apartments are brand new, so that is a big plus, but, the management is the worst. It seems like they have no clue of what they are doing or it could be that they simply do not care. Before moving in we requested new blinds for the sliding door because the ones in the apartment were defective. These were never replaced. The garage door broke after two weeks of living there and it took the maintenance man a month to fix it, only because we called multiple times. The brand new toilet clogged all the time, and guess what? Although we harassed these people, the issue was NEVER resolved. Another big problem with this place is that they sometimes waited two weeks to cut the lawn, so imagine the weeds. Also, this is one of the few places in Dubuque where dogs are allowed, so everyone had one. The only problem with this was that people did not pick up after their pets. So the place always looked dirty with the long grass and weeds, and the piles of dog waste. Don't waste your $950, utilities NOT included. read more

For being brand new, these apartments are mess. The only plus is that they are "pet-friendly." I take pet-friendly not very seriously because within the first couple of weeks of living there we received a verbal warning that our dog was barking throughout the day. He's a dog, if he hears a door slam, he barks. Sorry.... So we were forced to do the only thing we could think of and lock him in the bathroom when we were gone with a radio on so he wouldn't disturb the other tenants. This only caused his anxiety to reach high levels and he began having seizures. The kitchen sink leaks, one of the bathroom toilet leaks and has caused mold to grow. The bathroom vanity is falling apart. They did not paint the walls so if you barely touch the wall with something it leaves a huge mark. The glue on the windows is detaching from the part you use to push the window down to close it. The screen is detaching from the screen door on the patio. We had been living there for a month before maintenance realized they did not have our dryer hose hooked up, so it was just blowing lint and everything right into the corner behind the dryer. Did I mention that this all occurred with us only living there for 5 months? We also have a terrible old woman living next to us that smokes like a chimney. We live on a first level apartment with a sliding glass door and a deck. We can never use it because she is always out there. So much for paying an extra $50 a month for absolutely nothing. Definitely not worth the money. Buy a house, the mortgage is cheaper than what you spend for monthly rent. read more

I give these apartments a 4 star rating. I have a ferret so it's nice to have an apartment in Dubuque that allows pets. I've been living here for over 14 months, and admittedly the prior management had lets say "issues" with timeliness. This operation is ran by somebody different now. The fella that came and helped my family out with our furnace was a gentleman and helped in a timely manner. These are new apartments and since I'm not pissed about any particular incidents that happened to me I will not bag on the entire establishment for minor things. It's all good. read more

This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Management is horrible. My fiance and I moved in thinking for $900 a month and being a brand new apartment that it would be great...however I could not be more wrong. I had numerous problems. Our upstairs neighbor had two young children who they obvioulsy could not control. We would hear constant running, jumping, screaming...during the day is one thing but when we would be woken up from these children it became unacceptable. I called often in the middle of the night leaving messages and not a simple courtesy call from management the next day. I do not feel it was my position to knock on their door and talk to them. I should be able to rely on management to resolve my problem. I called a total of approx. 15 times regarding the neighbors. When out of 15 times, I finally was able to reach someone, they claimed they would send a letter to them. I never received a copy of the letter even upon request and the problem was never fixed. I then contiuned to call many times after that and never heard again from management. I also had problem with black slime that covered the toliets, sinks and bathtubs. I had to replace my shower curtains in each bathroom TWICE because it was staining them. I called maintenance several times and when I FINALLY was able to reach someone regarding this problem I specifically asked them NOT to come home when no one was there...I came home from work that day to find that maintenance had not only COME when I told them Not to but they didn't leave a note or message letting me know someone had been in my house, the only reason I knew someone had been there was because they cleaned my toliet thinking that would fix the slime problem. After MANY times (again) trying to reach management to tell them that just cleaning the toliet did not fix the problem, they told me "The black slime is just a fungi that grows in the drains"...that was the end of their help. I have lived in MANY apartment buildings before including in downtown LA in a huge complex and this is by FAR the worst place I have EVER lived. The apartments are built cheap, there is no insulation and our heat bill was always extremely high. But my biggest complaint is management. If you can not handle being a land lord then do not committ to it. I left my lease early just to get out of the place. I would NEVER recommend this place to even my worst enemies. I also complained about people letting their dogs poop right in front of the doors and people leaving mounds of cigarrette butts in the front walk way. My next door neighbors also used the main hall way as their personal storage facility. They would stack boxes and random furniture outside their door which made it look as if I were living in a ghetto. It was extremley embarassing when I would bring over guests and I had to always excuse the crap they had stored outside in the hall. I asked the landlord to request them to move their junk but they never did. There were also 3 bikes that were blocking the enterance to my apartment door in the hallway and after several attempts to have management move them I finally resorted to calling the fire marshall since it was blocking MY enterance. It's absolutey ridiclous. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX!!! read more

I agree with the review from Adriana! We have lived in apartments for over 5 years. This is by far the worse place we have lived. The apartment is nice and has lots of storage. That's as far as it goes. The apartments are not safe. The police were called here due to a hand gun incident in the parking lot. When I asked about it I was told by management the issue was involving some one visiting a tenant and that it wouldnt happen again. I'm not sticking around to find out. The property manager is not on site so rules for the complex are not enforced. She is unavailable if you do have a problem. I have tried to get a hold of her for two weeks with no return call. If something breaks they have a number for you to call on your own located on the front door. Good luck getting a return call from him too. The weeds on the lawn are terrible and they leave grass clippings all over the side walks that get tracked into the hallways. We also didn't have a dog and experienced dog doo doo right outside our front door. A neighbors cat got out and urinated in front of our apartment door. They came sprayed some deodorizer and vacuumed. The carpet was not replaced. You can only imagine what the smell was like espically when the weather turned warm. They only empty the trash bins once a week so theyre always full and smell. People park where they want including on the grass. With the city growing and little renting opportunities I would spend more time and money looking to live elsewhere. read more
