Positive first visit! I have been hitting the gym hard recently so my body is adjusting and real…read moresore.. in need of a massage!! Okay.. so I am a big fan of massage therapy and don't really have a favorite place or therapist. I like that each therapist (that I visited in the past) has a different style or technique.. so I am always down for trying out a new place. "Sondra" was skilled/nice and provided me with a good first experience. I had a "Therapeutic Massage" - along with a little stretching. I left my visit feeling vibrant & refreshed. The pricing is about average - typical of massage therapy - not below average. I predict another visit in the future. Thank you Awakenings Healing Touch!

They will go above and beyond to accommodate your scheduling needs which is a big plus. I was referred to Denise (owner) at Awakenings by my chiropractor for my neck and shoulder pain. Skeptical at first, as I've never been to a massage therapist before, but WOW am I glad I followed my chiropractor's advice. Massage has helped me tremendously and has reduced my pain by 95%. Denise is professional, experienced, knowledgeable, friendly, and gives a phenomenal massage. She makes a point to ask what areas she should focus on and will answer any questions you may have. I'm fascinated by her vast knowledge of essential oils and holistic healing also. The decor and atmosphere is warm and inviting, soothing and calm, preparing you for a perfectly stress free hour of relaxation. You are guaranteed to leave Awakenings not only relaxed, but refreshed. The service is amazing at Awakenings and both massage therapists are incredible. Give Awakenings a try. You will be so glad you did. Denise is also one of the few massage therapists that specializes in fertility massage.

Dr. Kristina Bishop has been my saving grace. Typically fertility and OB/GYN are very separate…read more(which is very frustrating to patients since it would seem like all women's health issues should fall under the same umbrella). However, Dr. Bishop has been the first OB/GYN to truly listen and provide different recommendations for our fertility struggles over the last 4 years. She actually recommended us to a new fertility clinic to begin IVF in which we were able to get pregnant for the second time. Unfortunately the pregnancy ended in a second miscarriage which was discovered in office with Dr. Bishop at 10 weeks. Her caring bedside manner was so impactful as my husband and I were going through such a horrible situation, and it's been SO different and refreshing compared to my first miscarriage experience with my old practice (Century Medical Associates-- highly do NOT recommend). I have recommended Seasons to ALL of my friends because the care is top notch and the all-women practice makes you feel at home, even when you may be going through a difficult situation. The fact these providers actually spend the time to listen to you AND provide sound recommendations is what makes them stand above the rest!

This is a warning about the Urology Institute of Pittsburgh on Northern Pike. Heed it. My…read moresignificant other has Crohn's, which resulted in two permanent ostomies, the removal of several organs, including his bladder, and post traumatic stress disorder (understandably, as he's in his twenties). He spent three years in six major hospitals, he's seen countless specialists, and insists that his experience at the Urology Institute of Pittsburgh was the worst of them. Listen: Men who misdiagnosed and thus mistreated my boyfriend paled in comparison to Dr. Costa, who harassed him about his condition. "Why did this happen? Why didn't you do this or that? Why were organs removed? Why don't you know? Why are you like this?" Asked in a cold and condescending manner atypical even for doctors who have "seen it all" (although Costa treated my boyfriend like a circus spectacle). You try explaining three years of inconclusive tests and experimental surgeries on the spot. Furthermore, as a result of said surgeries, doctors say it's unlikely my boyfriend will be able to father children. Instead of discussing options with him, Costa tried to deter him from a fertility test/procedure at Cleveland Clinic: "No, no, we'll do it here." By the way, this was a CONSULTATION, and it took almost four hours. Word of advice: If you're hitting up a urology institute, you have enough to deal with; don't bother dealing with an asshole, too.

Worst doctor and I would NOT recommend! I'm currently in the process of switching OB's…read more Let's start with the wait time I always schedule my appointments for Mondays at 9:15am and when I tell you we don't get out of the appointment until almost 1-1:30pm I'm not kidding. I swear they schedule multiple people for the same time slot. Secondly the woman who is currently running Dr. Hill's practice is so unprofessional she literally told my boyfriend and I quote "you're not the one having the baby be quiet" it's literally his baby and he's the most gentle kind man I could've asked to have a baby with. Then I was having really bad nausea and vomiting to the point that I couldn't keep water down. I was so dehydrated that when I went to the ER for IV fluids they poked me for 3+ hours with no luck because my veins kept collapsing. I was then told my the same woman that disrespected my boyfriend that "it's normal to throw up like that and in my day and age all we got was crackers and ginger ale". I was completely flabbergasted at her response as I had already passed out and was so weak. Finally I was able to convince her to give me a medication to help because I wouldn't leave otherwise. Another event where I was having pelvic pain almost like a really bad period and I called during hours that they weren't open to see what I should do and I was told Dr. Hill would return my call. 3 1/2 hours later after my boyfriend took me to the ER to be checked out I finally got a call back which went like this... Me: "Hi yes I'm having very bad pelvic pain and wanted advice as to what to do." Dr. Hill: "Well we're not open until Monday" Me: "Ok so what would you recommend I do?" (I was already at the hospital I just wanted to see what he'd say) Dr. Hill: "Well we're not open until Monday" click and hung up the phone! I was floored he hung up on me it was so incredibly unprofessional. Now yesterday January 23rd I woke up bleeding and horrible pelvic pain to the point it hurt to pee. I called the office at 8am knowing I'd get the after hours nurse again, she answered and informed me that I'd receive a call back from Dr. Hill. An hour went by and still no call so I called the office expecting it to be open as they usually open at 9am. Nope apparently they were closed for the day. Also I was informed Dr. Hill was on vacation with nobody in place to return his calls. I don't even understand that shouldn't there always be a doctor available to take his calls in his place?! Guess not. I ended up in the ER from 9:30am till about 6pm at night due to bleeding which turned out to be multiple placenta hematomas. I'm only 17 weeks and was told bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy would be best for me from the ER. Dr. Hill does not care about the well being of his patients or their babies and I'm not the only one with crazy stories about him. Please please do not go to his office for any reason you and your babies health are more important and he will not take your concerns seriously.
