I put myself (and him) through behavioral training (and that helped SO much). But he was missing socialization, being comfortable around other dogs. Learning from other dogs.. even being confidant in himself. I met a man on the beach who saw my dog go ape sh*t when he got within 10 feet of another dog (better than the 30 feet we started with from when we had behavioral training. But still not "there"). He recommended me Colin (Colin's Pack) and told me it changed his and his dog's life. Fast forward months later. I've had my dog Watson in Colin's Pack for 4+ months and it's changed our lives. You cannot put a price on socializing your animal, and Colin has a special way with dogs of all shapes, sizes and attitudes. In fact, when I 1st met Colin - he brought the van over with a few larger sized dogs (my dog is 37 pound of attitude) to get him familiar with the van, the scent and other dogs. My dog immediately calmed. He sat there in the van with Colin and I and the other dogs. It was wild. I cried when we got out of the van because I didn't know that would ever be possible. It sounds dramatic. But if you have a difficult dog, you know what that feels like. Colin is an enigma. He looks like a navy seal and has a heart of gold and the patience of a saint. Now - I take my dog to the beach, I walk him in tight spaces right by other dogs. He's used to freak out anywhere near other dogs ....now... He gets it. He actually can say hi and play with other dogs on walks now. I'll say this too. My dog is not easy. He has had nervous stomach issues, Colin never falters. He's more concerned with the dog assimilating to the experience. I could go on and on. I'll just say this. It has changed our lives!!! The behavioral therapy taught me to "learn how to train my dog". Colin lets my dog learn what he needs to learn, amongst his tribe. If you didn't get it by now. I'm a MASSIVE fan and so grateful for his work. Thank you Colin!!!

He is a young, assertive powerful dog; and the experience you get out of him, is highly dependent on who he's interacting with and what gets put "in". I am very committed to him and don't take giving him off to someone lightly. The first handoff I made with Colin I watched him immediately interact with my dog, and then manage his introduction to the van and the other dogs and knew right away I could trust him. He has a very clear method to his social structure to the dogs as well as a very strong energy to enforce it. I don't know much about the other dogs/packs as a whole, but I do think he has a method behind which dogs he puts together on each day. That combined with a very organized plan regarding logistics with the dogs ie: gps trackers, weight vests for some dogs (if you're ok with it), etc lead to a lot of confidence giving your beloved dog to someone for the day. He is a true "dog person" and interacts with them on a high level. Things I'd note outside of the dogs. He is very communicative, will give you exact times for pick up/drop off and it's always been very accurate. One other note: my dog is very transparent on the type of environment he was in when he was away from me based on his behavior. If he's spends time in an unstructured environment he can become anxious when I get him back. Upon return, he has been having a rush of energy when he first greets me, then almost immediately locks into his "normal" self; loose leash walking, high engagement with me, willingness for commands etc. It is very obvious that he just came from an environment he felt comfortable in, and was given proper structure and leadership. If you have a high drive, working dog in the area and want a way to help fulfill their needs, I highly recommend Colin.

They trained her dog for specific tasks, to meet her personal needs. This was especially important to help her manage going to college out-of-state and living on her own for the first time ever. Woody and Lorenzo were flexible and kind and knew just how to give my daughter the practice and support she needed to finish the training on time to fly back to school with her Certified Psychiatric Service Dog, her constant companion now. She was not listed on yelp, but Yelp listed other dog trainers in the search results and that is how I found Dog Remedy. When I first saw Dog Remedy on yelp, they had 5 stars. Of course I was skeptical at first, but then I read every single review and when I was finished, I wasn't interested in contacting the other dog trainer recommended by my Vet anymore. I just had to contact David Reinecker! There was only one reason I needed a dog trainer. I have 2 dogs, a female corgi and a male Miniature Pinscher. Every now and then, the corgi would attack the Min Pin. I was desperate and under pressure by the husband to give up the corgi. My husband was even rather skeptical of my hiring a dog trainer. He thought the corgi was beyond help. I called Dog Remedy and Tatiana scheduled our first appointment, saying we would probably need 3 sessions one week apart. The price was definitely reasonable, especially after spending so much money on the Min Pin's hospital bills. When David came to see us, he sat down and talked to us at length about the problems we were facing. Then he started to show us what we needed to do with the dogs. Basically we needed to train the dogs so they know we are the alpha over them. I also mentioned to David that my corgi was fearful of other dogs and would always lunge and bark at them on our walks. She was so afraid that she would always launch the initial preemptive strike to ward them off. We went outside for a walk hoping to encounter other dogs so he could show me what to do. We didn't see any other dogs, but he taught me how to walk with her anyways and what to do when other dogs approach. He said we needed to practice the training daily and he would check in with us in about a week. The day after the first visit, we took the dogs out for a walk and I implemented the training taught by David when I saw a dog owner and his 3 dogs. One of his dogs was not on the leash and I was very cautious, not knowing what might happen. But instead of barking and being afraid, my corgi sat next to me calmly, let the dog without the leash come close to her and didn't even flinch when the dog sniffed her butt! Then the two other dogs that were on the leash came close too. And my corgi let one of them sniff her nose! I was amazed! This would never have happened, normally she would probably have barked like crazy and lunged at them to scare them off. We also noticed that she is no longer afraid of gardeners with loud tools and large trucks. David came to see us one more time and he was very happy with the improvement in the dogs' behavior. He said he could tell as soon as he walked in that the dogs are different now. He was also confident that we did not need a 3rd session. I'm happy to say that there has not been any attacks on the Min Pin since and we continually use David's techniques and training to keep our dogs in check.
