Quiet mid-day lunch hour at this cozy cafe
Howard F.

I had a quiet mid-week lunch at Radio Cafe at the end of April where I enjoyed good Polish food and good service. English-speaking waitstaff were pleasant and helpful, and the English menu helps, too. The Pork Schnitzel Polish Style featured a tasty breaded pork cutlet under a fried egg with a yummy side of cabbage, potatoes and bacon. Radio Cafe was just right: the best meal I had in Warsaw.

This cafe is a cute as can be. You almost want to hug it or take it home if you could. This is also your chance to try some Polish food. There is a whole history to this cafe so that is worth looking up. The service was slow, very slow which was the only detractor. However, I highly recommend a visit if you happen to find yourself in Warsaw.

Warsaw is full of amazing restaurants and this one has excellent food as well. But it also has a special ambience because of its owner's important ties to Radio Free Europe. Celebrating freedom of the press while eating yummy latkes and salmon was an assignment I gladly accepted. The servers were very friendly and were clearly happy to be there and proud of the history of the place. Pierogis were great and we also enjoyed the beet salad with pears and walnuts. Very fresh homemade food ! Putting this on the list to return another time!

The borscht. Very delicious.

Amazing restaurant with amazing food! I went with my Polish friend and we both loved it. The history of the place is so interesting with the ability to see a bunch of signatures and notes from worldwide visitors. The owner was quite interesting to talk with as well, and it was a wonderful visit. Despite only being in Warszawa for 4 days, my friend and I came here twice. I highly recommend the borscht with meat dumplings as well. It was some of the best borscht I've ever had.

Decent service but deception with menu For our first dinner in Warsaw, we craved beef stroganoff. A quick google search indicated Radio Café had a good stroganoff, and it was near the Marriott where we were staying. Stroganoff- menu described the beef as filet mignon, but what we were served was very, very low quality, probably round steak. The mushroom were good but the beef was horrible and the sauce was just OK. Pig knuckle- Good but flavor was not great. The skin was only crisp on one side. Total price for our meal: 113 Zl Service: decent service, our waiter worked several tables both inside and out and was struggling to keep up. Ambiance: charming café ambiance Overall cleanliness: above average Bathroom cleanliness: above average

In Warsaw you just have to eat Polish food and I did at the Radio Cafe. I learned that former Radio Free Europe employees once stationed in Munich are the ones who started this restaurant after the Polish section of the Radio closed after Poland became independent. But about the food...delicious! I ate pickles, kielbasa with fried onions and cold potato salad, all washed down with iced tea and a glass of beer: Żywiec. I also had an opportunity to speak with the cafe's owner, Stash, Stanislaw Pruszyński who worked Radio Free Europe in 1955/56. Great guy, great conversation. Delicious food served promptly with good service!

Great location, tasty food, and great service at Radio Cafe in Warsaw! I enjoyed my meal and ordered the pierogis. My food came out quick and the staff was incredibly friendly. If I'm ever in Poland again, I'll go back!

The place has traditional polish food that is delicious. Friendly staff who are kind and full of suggestions. Great beer and all just walking distance from our hotel.

Well...this place caught me by surprise. On the outside it doesn't look like anything special, just your average euro-style cafe with outdoor seating. But you know what they say about looks...the can be deceiving. This restaurant has some truly authentic Polish cuisine. I had the soup that came in a bread bowl and the kielbasa. Both were absolutely fantastic and I'm so beyond full with Polish love! The menu isn't that large but it's diverse, and they also offer a daily menu in addition to it. Treat yourself, you've earned some meat!

Food was not tasty. Ambience was none. Service was okay. Disappointing. Wish I had had real Polish foods in Warsaw.

Great food in an enchanting setting and rich history. It is close to the city center and I recommend everyone try it.

The dim-lit ambiance, the dark wood accents and white tablecloth gives that formal yet cozy environment and with that, comes an exquisite menu that will leave you with a very pleasant and memorable experience. Reservations are highly recommended which I did have so check-in was a breeze. The waitress was very knowledgeable with the wine list and menu items which was extremely helpful when deciding among the various delicious sounding items on the menu. I heard that the Steak Tartare is a must here so I ordered that and to my delight, it's the best steak tartare I've had in all of Poland. It's prepared table-side from a very charismatic chef which added to the excitement and enjoyment of trying this tasty item. The Beef Wellington was also a delight. The buttery and slightly crisp puff pastry melts in your mouth along NG with the tender and juicy beef in which the demi-glace adds additional flavor to the already mouth-watering profile. Just pure gloriousness. The Bluefin Tuna was the final item I tried and the tender, fresh and scrumptious flavor of the tuna paired with the black truffle, avocado, artichoke and teriyaki sauce...so good. I unfortunately did not have enough room for dessert but wow I watched the items pass by me landing at other tables and I was so wanting to try one of them but not one single bite more of anything could've fit in my stomach. That's why there's always a next time :)
