So the expectations were high but we were not disappointed. The restaurant is located in a quite historic place. It was the Russian embassy during the downer times and you can find some really interesting symbols on Columns, corner and decoration. The place itself is quite elegant, quite huge for this type of restaurant but still cozy. The service was great and very sympathetic. The young team did their best and the chef waitress kept her young colleagues quite busy to ensure the best for the guests. Especially the girl mixed professionally with a good understanding of wines, tastes and a enjoyable sense of humor. She knew every single dish and was able to describe the tastes, textures and consistencies of the dish, without influencing us too much. The dishes were just a perfect composition. As a starter we had scallops with a purée of potatoes dyed with the ink of sepia, presented on a a glass plate with shells underneath. I had one of my best Tatar and it was goat. A perfect cut and tender goat meat with the typical ingredients like fresh egg but pretend in a perfect way. Onion chips and thin slices of Apple gave it a sour finish and a certain crunch. As main dish we had a classic veal dish with spinach and mashed potatoes... Sounds simple, but the fast was amazing. Especially the veal glacé was eye opening The other dish was perfect medium lamp chops with glacé, chanterelle purée and ravioli filled with ricotta and truffle. The best ravioli I had for a long time. But the highlight of the dinner was the dessert. On the one side we had a praline tarte which was quite heavy and really intense. Ideal for chocolate lovers. The corresponding strawberry sorbet was less sweet and compensated the chocoholic taste with intense fruit aroma and acidity. Well Composed. I had a more light dessert out of a light yogurt foam covered with black current layer and a rhubarb filling. Light and refreshing. Perfect for a nice summer night. The menu is seasonal, quite limited selection and well composed. The host was going to seat us in the garden area, but it was full apparently, so he took us inside, but then was also confused as to where to seat us. We ended up with a table in the corner. It was fine. We could look out onto the street, but it was a little crowded. I headed upstairs to wash my hands. The washrooms are upstairs and a little untidy (at least the woman's room was). The upstairs was basically empty except for one large party/reservation that was being set up. It's funny, because when we called to make a reservation they told us they were full. But also that they don't take smaller reservations, but just come by anyways, as there will be seating outside. This interaction was strange to say the least. Downstairs in the main room around the bar, there were two large parties going on. The large party of men left shortly after we arrived, but there was a bachelorette party seated close to us demanding the attention of all the waitstaff, and apparently the eyes of male servers who seemed distracted from their other patrons. It took 10+ minutes to get our drinks and then actually order. It took another 30 to actually get our food. And let me go back to when we actually ordered. Because now that I think about it, I was a little disappointed with the interaction. I ordered in Polish, but it seemed to bother the waiter (since we'd started our first interaction with English), and then when my colleague and roommate both ordered pizzas he suggested something different. A dish that cost quite a bit more. He tried twice to get my roommate to changer her order, but she was intent on having her particular pizza. Let's get to the food - because here is where I thought Aioli inspired by MINI excelled. I went with the falafel tabouleh salad. The tabouleh was very good. The mix of textures and flavors of the various ingredients was delicious. The plat was served with three limp piece of pita (though still tasty and great for dipping), and there were to long falafel on sticks. These were done well, and did not taste of bitter oil. I was happy with how they were not too greasy. The side sauces included hummus (overdone with tahini - the sesame flavor was too powerful), tzatziki sauce (perfect), and a really nice lemon flavored dressing that paired really well with the tabouleh. I went with the special cockatil of the night. I was persuaded because it had Tanqueray, but it wasn't my favorite. My dining partners went with a liter of the house white wine. In their words it had the flavor of a "watered down Pinot Grigio" You win some, you lose some i guess. The feel of the place was very urban, but welcoming, and the location is great. I would probably come back, but I think they could improve on cleanliness and service.

The first thing you see as you entered the restaurant is bottles and bottles of wine on the shelves. I really can't tell you the overall space because I felt like I went from one room to another, pass the kitchen, through another room and was seated in a small room with about 6 or 7 tables. It's almost like a maze. I can tell most of the patron are locals. Friends meeting after work for drinks and a quick bite to eat. I know I'm in the right place :-) The menu is small and seasonal with the intention to order/taste every dish because the portion is small too. We started off with Bulion, which is a broth soup with duck dumplings. It was delicious and savory. The ginger in the broth soup warmed my stomach. It was exactly what I needed for our first night in Warsaw. According to other yelpers, we have to order the beef tartare. I'm not big on raw beef but it tasted better than I expected. The beef tartare is served on top of potato pancake. The potato sort of mellow out the raw meat taste. Great presentation! Chicken Liver Parfait served on a buttermilk bread was probably my favorite dish. I know liver is not for the faint of heart, but when it's done right, it's chef kiss! Chicken liver is incredibly good for us and a nutrient-dense superfood packed with protein and vitamins. I wish I can see more dishes like this served in the states. Foie Gras sales and production is strictly restricted in most states. We just have to try it whenever we are in Europe. YOLO! It's rich and buttery and served on a even more buttery brioche. Very filling. Skrei was a fish dish that we should of skipped. It was served on a big pile of foam and herbs with very little fish (see pic.). It's something I expect at a high end 13 course tasting menu, not at a wine bar. We each had a glass of Badenhorst Family White Wine. It wasn't the best I had but it works for the occasion. Tips: Service is slow and that's just how the European roll. Be patience and enjoy the view and take in the moment that you're in Poland! They charge for water and 10% service charge.
