I was met by a very nice receptionist when I entered the designated office. Actually, the provider I saw doesn't even practice at this location. She travels several hours for appointments set up by the contracting agency for the sole purpose of conducting these verification examinations for VA disability claims. As is often the case with these inner city establishments, parking is the biggest challenge. I had to drive around the neighborhood for a couple of times before I could find an empty parking space. I had to park about three blocks away from the office. That's very inconvenient, but you don't have any choice in this matter...

Only minor complaint I have is the kiosk terminal where you receive your numbered ticket for your visit. It sometimes takes several tries to get your ID card read correctly. You see you have to shine the laser beam on your card just right to get it read, but once it's read the rest is pretty self-explanatory. When you're overseas, healthcare is one of those things you are most concerned with. It gives you a great peace of mind when you can be treated with respect and care in your own language. Well, I'm sorry for venting. Actually, I have been to this same office before (it may have been under different name, though). It was for another type of exam than what I had this time. Apparently, VES rents this medical office space for providing different exams for their VA clients. Free parking is available up to two hours using parking dial display. I really hate to pay for parking for medical appointments, so this alone makes this location very desirable. I've been to two other locations for VES appointments in Nürnburg where you have to pay for parking in comparison. My appointment went very smoothly, and I was in/out of the office within 30 minutes. That was very good.

You have to provide some basic information like name, DoB, and phone #. Of course, you have to have your valid photo ID. Hours are very user-friendly for it's open from 9:00 to 17:30 on Monday to Saturday, and 9:00 to 14:00 on Sunday. When we came here about 9:30, there were only a few people waiting for results. Once you go through intake procedure, it only takes about 15 minutes to receive your results after a quick nostril swipe (not a deep one they used to do like halfway to your brain). When we left at about 10:00, the line had about 10 people waiting to register and getting test done. More people were waiting for their results. It's a very convenient service provided. I think this one is sponsored by a local pharmacy, Anthemis Apotke. Well, if you have to get one (some establishments will require negative test result to receive service), you'd better get one!

My first impression of the office was excellent. It was very clean everywhere, and the receptionist was very pleasant and accommodating. That was really great since it is not the case all the time especially in a medical office in Germany. They are very efficient for sure, but sometimes they lack a little bedside manners as I'm finding out more as I continue to live here. This receptionist even suggested to wait in the cooler waiting room in the back since the front waiting area was warmer without AC. That's some good customer service. They took x-rays and the dentist examined the tooth. As for the treatment plans, it seems they take the least invasive approach first. I suppose if it doesn't work well, they'll take more aggressive measures. We'll find out when we go back for actual dental treatment the next time we make a visit in two weeks.

First of all, you have to go to their website and request an appointment. It seems they only open online appointment calendar one week at a time, so you need to wait at least one week out to schedule your appointment. There must be 15 appointments available per 15-minute segment, so they can schedule quite a bit. When we arrived the parking lot closest to the testing site was full, so we had to park a little further away. It used to be only for COVID-19 testing, but now they offer COVID-19 vaccination. Vaccination tent is next to the parking lot, and testing tent is a little further away. It looked like the line for vaccination is longer than the testing. In fact, when we went in the testing tent, there was only one person at the registration desk (there were two stations, but only one was being used). Your registration QR code (from online appointment request) was scanned, ID check, your contact information verified, and you were given a tube with your registration sticker with a testing swab. Then, you just have to step in to the testing booth and get your tongue swabbed. It only took a few seconds. Well, silly me...I made a mistake of chewing a gum, so I had to wait 10-15 minutes before they could swab my tongue. I will remember this next time. I believe a person got turned around because she smoked right before she came in for testing. She was told to come back for testing later... It is a very efficient operation. Everyone was very nice.
