I brought a 2 month oid cd/am fm/ blue tooth player in for repair. Total cost new was $195.00. They charged $75.00 . When I picked it up, I was told it worked., It did not. when I brought it back ,they said it worked but not much volume. It did not. They then tried to sell me a $39.99 cd player. They did not. Better to just through your $75.00 drop of fee in the trash and save your time and gas. Repair shop sucks. read more

Bought an inverter that died in less than 3 months. Store would not replace or exchange it. Don't do business with companies that sell crap products combined with not standing behind their merchandise. Companies like REI, Kohls, Costco, LL Bean, American Eagle and Home Depot have much more customer service oriented policies. read more

Our 55" TV died, black screen and flashing lights. We gave a call to Radio Shack, spoke to Nathan the tech person, asked for a quote for the repair. The quote, a fair price, came to my cell within 10 minutes. Nathan was responsive to all my questions and while I was in the store I walked around and was amazed by their large inventory of greatly needed electronic and gifts items. The hard drive in my computer was going bad. I called various computer companies in Bozeman. They quoted a very expensive price and stated they could probably not save the programs I downloaded on the hard drive. I contacted RadioShack (I initially did not even know they worked on hard drives) and they quoted a great price for a solid-state hard drive. They placed the new hard drive in my computer in less than 6 hours. Needless to say, my computer went from the speed of the glacier to that of a Japanese bullet train. They were able to save all of my files and programs, which really saved me a headache of going back and trying to download everything back on my computer. As most people are aware, businesses in Bozeman have a tendency to over promise and under deliver. This was completely the opposite. They gave the best price on all of the computer companies I contacted, they finished the work faster than I expected, and their workmanship was exemplary. I could not be more satisfied. read more

I took my 15 year old Bose to Radio Shack to be fixed. I was so pleased they could fix the radio part and one disc player. The clerks carried equipment in and out for me. I received a detailed phone message when they were finished. Kudos to Chad and his co-workers. Pleasant experience! read more

They are not customer friendly. They adhere strictly to their 10-day return policy regardless of the fact that their salesman sells you the wrong part or you live out of town and weather prevented you from returning the item within 10 days. Next time I'll shop on Amazon where returns are no fuss no muss. read more

Buyer beware! On Saturday, we bought 3 RC trucks and a boat. We spent over $2k with batteries, chargers, etc. We got home and drove one of the Traxxas trucks for a few minutes and it stopped driving forward only in reverse. We took the truck back and they confirmed that the ESC was bad and told us our only option was to contact the manufacture for RMA support. Manufacture says they will send us a package for us to remove the component and send it back to them. If they determine its defective, they will send us a replacement part. So basically, my son must wait several weeks to drive his new truck. Traxxas also has terrible customer support. Buy online for less since you won't get any support from RadioShack! read more

Horrible. I tried have a speaker (pioneer cs 66g) repaired here only to have them give me false information on the woofer size I needed to replace. They told me it was a 9 inch when it's a ten inch woofer speaker. They did not try to help me find a replacement woofer on their end much, other than telling me a model number for the woofer which technically the repairman was not supposed to divulge to me. I was told it would be best if I did the ordering for a woofer. I payed them $100 to diagnose the problem with warning that it may not be able to be fixed, and I was willing to do that. However if you take my 100$ and just tell me the wrong speaker size and radioshack can't order the correct part and install it, I should have just repaired the unit myself. I looked online and found multiple options that will work for the woofer and Radioshack cannot seem to find one. They just tell you they went up in price over the phone and just leave it at that. They also gave me my speaker back in pieces so I have to reassemble the unit myself. They also stripped the screws that belong in the motherboard. Lesson learned, just do it yourself and get better service. They also lost the screws I gave them for the back panel. They gave me some replacement screws I guess. Hope they fit. Full fledged repair shop? More like take your money and leave you to make repairs shop. Joke service and you really are better off just going somewhere else. read more

I purchased a cable and then realized it was the wrong size. Unable to return it for two weeks, i was then told they would not take the return! That seems a little bit unreasonable. I will never returnto this radio shack again. read more

Radioshack now repairs electronics, which as far as I know is one of the only places in town (if not the only one for small home electronics). My espresso machine suffered a power surge while the boiler was on and didn't work, so I brought it in and they diagnosed/fixed it for $120 including parts. This is a crazy price, but they were very helpful and I knew that my own unwillingness to open it up myself would cost me, which I am fine with. They were timely and customer service was excellent. read more

Horrible experience. I had an in-depth phone discussion with an employee on Friday about needing a combiner, not just a splitter, for a TV. I was absolutely clear on what I needed and he claimed he understood. He told me they had what I needed so I drove two hours Monday to pick it up. All they had was a splitter only. I had been absolutely clear with the employee I had talked to Friday that most were splitters only, that I needed one that was in/out on all three ports. I could not have been clearer. He could not have been clearer that that was what they were holding for me. When I looked at the part Monday, it was obvious it was a splitter only. The employee Monday said he's worked there for years, that they've never carried a combiner (or combo splitter/combiner). read more

I shop here from time to time for various switches, adapters, electronics, etc. Each time I walk inimitable greeted by friendly staff even if there in the middle of some work. They always help me find what I need and although the prices are more than the internet it's cheaper here than anywhere else in town I've found. I had an electronic from them that broke and had a manufacturer's warranty on it, they replaced it for me on the spot and said they'd handle the return for me! WOW! While I understand they can't do that with every product I was certainly impressed and will be back. read more
