Delta put me up here after a delay caused me to miss my connecting flight. Overall, it's an okay hotel -- about 2-3/5 stars. The property feels a bit old and it's not really near anything, with the main perk being the shuttle to/from the airport. Rooms and common areas were pretty clean, and it covered the basic necessities. Breakfast and dinner were decent, but there weren't many vegetarian options and the variety was limited (though not terrible). Service was good, which helped. I wouldn't go out of my way to book it, but if you're being placed here by an airline (Delta/KLM) due to a disruption, it's not a bad option for a night. read more

Basically another airport hotel with a bed, shower and breakfast. But one that charges 5€ for airport shuttle, 9€ for room service and 4€ for a cup of breakfast in the lobby. Pour coffee service in the room and rooms are very dated. read more

Have stayed here a few times and the locations is great. Can walk to the mall of America while inside the mall without going outside.

Great location near the AMS airport with free shuttle. About 20 minutes from city center with an Uber ride. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Had all the amenities one would need in a hotel. read more

The Radisson Blu is one of the many hotels around Schiphol airport and I think I may soon have tried all of the hotels around this area. For the airport this is a pretty good hotel - I would not recommend it for visitors to Amsterdam (city) as there are then other better options. There is a shuttle going here every 30 minutes and it takes around 10 minutes to get to the hotel. The hotel itself is not in an exciting area so not much to do around there. Check-in was quick and efficient (they staffed up for when the shuttle arrives) and I was in my room short after arriving at the hotel. The room was perhaps not modern but it did have everything I needed (iron, ironing board, kettle, teas, TV , free wifi) so I was happy. The drawback here was that the gym that is not at the hotel closes early (I recall it was at 9 and does not open until 7 if I my memory serves me right) so not a great option when there on business. They had maps for going out for a run but it was not really a pleasant area in that sense and it was also pouring down so if you like me want the chance to go the gym in the evening be aware of the poor opening hours. The breakfast was decent and fairly crowded so not easy to get to things and the staff struggled to keep the buffet refilled. Still everything that was on there was decently fresh and it was possible to make some fresh orange juice which was a bonus. read more

The hotel is very conveniently located near the airport and is just 10-15 minutes ride from it. The staff is very welcoming and courteous in general. The rooms are pretty modern and spacious. I had a very relaxing stay with excellent room service. The breakfast is quite healthy and offers a wide range of food to choose from. It also has a 24 hour gym which was pretty decent. I really liked the food at the restaurant as well. I would recommend this hotel for both business and private stay. read more

I stayed overnight at this hotel during a business trip and it was definitely English speaking friendly. The hotel was held at the same standards as the Radisson hotels back state side and the staff just as professional and courteous and willing to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. This hotel is just minutes from the Schipol airport and provided a shuttle every 30 minutes to the Schipol train station. From there, I was able to take a train ride into down town Amsterdam which was about a 20 - 30 minute train ride. The room service was decent, and the wireless internet was not free. The TV was not useful too me, since all of the channels were in a foreign language (duh) and since the English channels were paid, I totally didn't even go there. Not a big deal, I wasn't there to watch TV but was more interested in what the English TV was like in another country. Overall, I had no issues navigating or communicating with the staff at this hotel and I had everything that I needed for my overnight in the Netherlands. The room was spacious and provided you with and ironing board, iron, blow dryer, sufficient towels and the bathroom was modern with a glass shower and TV inside for watching TV while showering? COOL. Price was about 135 or so Euro's, which seemed to be the average rate for the time of season that I was visiting for. If you are visiting Amsterdam, this is definitely a good starting point! read more

As part of the tour package we stayed near the airport as were busing to another city the next morning and could avoid the morning traffic. By far the nicer hotel of the 4 that I stayed in. Larger "American sized" elevators and a newer more modern hotel with more space in the rooms. No down pillows but the blanket was down. The amenities offered were what I expect in the U.S. Little complimentary bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and a bar of soap with shower caps. Nexpresso machine and coffee maker with nice selection of teas and espresso and coffee in the room was a nice benefit. Free wifi. Breakfast was in the big ball room with smoked fish, meats, eggs boiled and scrambled. Cereals yogurt fresh and canned fruits. Good bread spread and cheeses. No bell service. read more

Standard hotel nearby Schiphol Airport. Not too fancy. quite pricey. It is basically in the middle of nowhere. There is a free shuttle to the Airport which goes on until midnight. Restaurant and bar are good. If you work in the neighbourhood of Schiphol-Rijk this is fine. read more

I am not down to share a bathroom with the whole floor on a hotel, which is what many European hotels do. This hotel is perfect, we had a suite with plenty of room and our very own bathroom. We upgraded and got the breakfast included. It was perfect!!! read more

Excellent and helpful staff, a very lovely bar eating area, and delightful rooms. I have been very satisfied with the Radisson Blu other places, and this hotel was no exception. The room is lovely and spotless. We asked for a king bed- hard to find in Europe, and we have one. The toom has a lot of space- as well as wine glasses, a minibar, an inroom safe, an iron, good toiletries, and a very nice workspace. Also LOTS of outlets- what a treat! Also I notice my TV is greeting me personally :-) Free Wifi- with good strength. We ate lunch in the bar- and found everything from the cappucinos to the bitterballen to be excellent. They've also got a lovely view- you wouldn't think it would, considering it's an airport hotel, but the view from the bar is quite lovely. The furnishings are very attractive, and I feel we got a real bargain booking here. We are staying only one night, as we have an early flight out of Schiphol, and we don't want to miss it. But I am happy to be spending my last night in the Netherlands at the Radisson Blu. Thank you Radisson Blu for consistently delivering excellent service and value. read more

Decent hotel, quite location. Do not expect to leave the hotel for dinner, as there is nothing nearby! A taxi or uber is easily 15 euro, and the hotel restaurant averages $30 per plate. The rooms are fine, and the breakfast was superb! I simply wish they could update their gym... read more

We checked in at 7 in the morning and they said it would be a few more hours for the room to be ready so we went out to loot at the city. We came back at 2(when they said it would be ready) and they said we had another hour till they will start to clean our room. We finally got our room at 4. Also to top it all off the wait for the shuttle to the hotel is very long (40min) and there is only one bus. Close to the airport. Shuttle was not running that night so I took a cab. 25 Euros are steep for a seven minute ride from the airport. The hotel - like most airport hotels in the world - is located in the middle of nowhere. Only two clerks were available at 7 PM that had to deal with airline crew check ins and departures, room service orders, outside callers, newly arrived guests and the like. Sure enough they had a tough time handling the workload. They were nonetheless friendly. The room was ok. Clean, well equipped and fairly quiet for and airport hotel. The a/c though was noisy. The menue had basically only overpriced junk food and alcohol to offer. The same goes for the minibar. Free WiFi was included in my rate - a plus for Europe! The TV had very few free channels. No CNN. No other decent news channel. In summary: close to the airport, good choice for a one night business trip but not to visit Amsterdam. read more

Excellent hotel and staff! Radisson Blu Hotel at Schiphol airport is a short coach ride away, with the bus running every 30 minutes. However, next time I visit the beautiful city of Amsterdam, I would more likely stay in the city center, perhaps at the other Radisson Blu location. Figuring in the time and money spent each day to ride the train from Schiphol airport, I think the better deal would be to stay in the city and take a taxi to/from airport. The only real perk staying at the Schiphol location was, of course, the close proximity to the airport when it was time to leave. This hotel is well-appointed and quiet, located in a business district. And, the breakfast buffet scores high on our list! A very special thanks to the lovely breakfast buffet staff - they are delightful, kind ladies with a smile that goes on forever.
