"Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairy tale."…read more Coach House Weddings and As it Happens Photography has made our Wedding Dream a Reality! We purchased the 'Everything but the Dress' package and it was truly a stress-free process. Andrea and John have been truly wonderful to work with, very responsive to messages, and very accomodating to our requests. About 3 months before the Wedding Day, we had an Engagement Photo Session, and the photos were so beautiful we used one for our wedding invitations! On the Big Day, the venue was so beautiful, the cake was delightful, the hors d'oeuvres were plenty and delicious! Andrea has perfectly captured our wedding colors through the cake, boutonnieres, and the bridal party bouquets which were just stunning to look at! John was excellent, and he also put some humor into the ceremony! He worked with me in outlining the ceremony, as well as my music choices (I have given him too many music selections!). The ceremony was amazing and everything went smoothly! Andrea has kept me up-to-date with all developments with the wedding planning. She made sure everything was perfect! She took beautiful photos throughout the day, before the ceremony in the bridal suite, during the ceremony (capturing all the most precious moments), and after the ceremony for portraits with the family. She made sure all the guests were happy and taken care of. As a bride on her wedding day, it could be easy to forget some moments as the day goes by really fast, and it could get overwhelming, but the photos have made me remember how magical the day was, and the experience made me really say to myself: 'I do not want this day to end'. Andrea and John, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for making our dream day perfect! We will never forget how wonderful our wedding day was! I highly recommend Coach House Weddings for your beautiful and intimate Wedding Day!

Email responses incredibly slow. As a result, we sourced our own venue and when the date was unavailable to Lustre events, we made the decision to release them. They refused to refund any portion of our $4k deposit. Over the course of 6 weeks, we estimate Melissa spent less than 3 hours on us, we never even met Morgan. We requested a partial refund (from our perspective this was generous) to which she immediately gaslighted us... launching into what appeared to be a heavily scripted response, it was clear she's done this to others, dishonest vendor, very important lesson to always read the contract! We were blown away with their services from start to finish. They are thoughtful and observant in obtaining information from their clients about design preferences. When we received their design plan for us, we could not have been more thrilled. They captured all the elements of the design and wedding experience that we were hoping for and even suggested additional special elements (like a Tiki bar) that we hadn't thought of ourselves, but absolutely loved. Melissa and Morgan were also thoughtful in helping us plan the multicultural aspects of our wedding, weaving together seamlessly different cultural traditions. The end result was unique, elegant and received glowing feedback from all of our guests. In addition to all of this, Melissa and Morgan were extremely organized and on top of our wedding timeline. Of note, our wedding was not the easiest to plan, as we live in NYC and were planning during the pandemic. This did not prove to be a barrier as Melissa and Morgan held Zoom meetings with us and handled everything on the ground in Toronto until we had our final planning meetings in person. We felt completely confident in them, even as two type-A New Yorkers! Lastly and perhaps most importantly, they are an absolutel joy to work with. Their warmth and positivity put us at ease, not just during the planning process, but also on the day of the wedding. They were super adaptable -- any last minute challenges that arose were handled swiftly and competently by Melissa and Morgan. It is clear that they have strong relationships and are beloved by all their vendors, and there are clear examples of us benefitting from these strong relationships. At the same time, we never felt pressured into using a particular vendor, and Melissa and Morgan also worked seamlessly with several new vendors that we introduced. And while always positive, Melissa and Morgan were also transparent with us at all stages. When they had strong feelings about certain decisions based on their extensive experience, they did not hesitate to guide us. All in all, we wholeheartedly recommend Lustre Events for anyone planning a wedding. They made our dream wedding come to life!

I am so glad that I did! It felt strange at first, leaving almost everything to others to plan - not even seeing my bouquet or the colours of the linens until 1/2 hour before the ceremony. The last week prior to the event, I even began to question whether I had made a huge mistake. When we got there and had a look at everything - it was absolutely perfect! I was amazed at how beautiful everything was. The ceremony was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and everyone involved on our day were so great, I can't even come up with words to describe it. Leading up to our big day, the staff always answered all my questions, whether by email or phone. They asked for pictures to get a sense of the colours we preferred and hit the nail on the head. We always felt accommodated and absolutely like ours was the only event they were planning. A special thank you to Katherine, who was absolutely amazing - knowing what to say to keep me calm, asking the right questions so she could correctly choose how to decorate for us, and having a great sense of humor. This venue is small - definitely not for a large wedding, but for the 18 guests we had, it was heaven. I absolutely recommend the Toronto Wedding Chapel if you have a small wedding that you want to be memorable but you're perhaps not the greatest at planning or just don't have the time. The only drawback was the photography. Unfortunately, about 20-30 pictures were pixelated and at least as many were blurry to some degree - however, they did send us almost 300 pictures (in less than a week!), so I refuse to give them less than 5 stars. The rest of the pictures (and there were a great many) were beautiful, and there were plenty to choose from. My fiancé and I hired Roxy and her company to plan our upcoming wedding in August. I was living in…read moreChicago and this was a long distance planning session. I was interviewing multiple wedding planners and decided to go with Roxy because of her amazing personality and everything she could offer. We had a Skype call and I decided to go with her company. My family and I put a deposit of around $2,100 CAD and were excited to see what she would offer. The plan I chose was not the most expensive, but second from the highest. The total would have costed around $7,000 CAD. The other wedding planners were not as highly priced, but I figured I should go with someone that knows Toronto, so I can have a variety of options for my wedding in Niagara on the Lake. Roxy was very personable and kind with great fashion sense. This is where the positivity ends. My family and I were sadly disappointed. We believe that the cost of her services does not justify the work completed. We were under the impression that she would lead the charge and tell us exactly what was next (booking shuttle, welcome bags, assisting with the wedding shower, etc.) In her contract, it explicitly states that she should be doing EVERYTHING from conceptualizing wedding themes and colors. I should not have to prompt about what my needs are. I also should not have all the dates and do all the research on things. I never once received a plan or prompting questions about what I want the wedding to look like or maybe you should go with this color or check out these photos... I even gave her a test. The venue I selected has a wedding coordinator there as well. I asked them both to find me a list of officiants that were local to the neighborhood. Roxy did not e-mail me back for around 4 days, however the other wedding coordinator who was hospitalized, e-mailed me back in 2 hours from when the e-mail was sent. Secondly, being late for both meetings in person and not having everything organized was another issue. My fiancé and family drove 4 hours through a snow storm to meet Roxy to start our venue search. Roxy was around 20 minutes late only having to drive 55 minutes. She also neglected to tell us that she was eight and a half months pregnant. I was surprised that she did not mention this before we paid a deposit. She had no idea who we were meeting and what dates were available for venues. There was nothing organized where the venues were located and where who we were meeting. The people at the venue did not even know who she was. Also Roxy did not factor in lunch, which was an issue. My fiancé has 3 kids and cannot go from 10AM until around 4PM without food. My fiancé and I had to use yelp to find a place to eat between appointments. There were no extras built into our day: wine tasting, lunch, nothing special. It was go go go from the minute we arrived at the first venue. The second meeting in person was when my fiancé and I were going to do a tasting for our wedding. My parents flew in from New York to be at the tasting. At first Roxy was not going to be there. I was floored that my wedding planner was not going to be at my tasting, which is a HUGE component of the wedding. She told me that she had a long term client that had a birthday party. I was livid and e-mailed her stating that it is in her contract that she attends every meeting associated with the wedding. Roxy then followed up with an e-mail that her assistant would cover the party in the afternoon and she could be there. I had to e-mail her and express my frustration to get her to attend, which is ridiculous. Roxy was 5 minutes late to this meeting. I maybe received one text message from her the morning of the tasting. She did not negotiate anything with the cost of the tasting or even the cost of our rooms. The wedding coordinator at the venue laid out all the costs and we spoke directly with her at the venue. Roxy did not even help with any of the room selections or anything. She just sat there while my fiancé and father worked with the venue's wedding coordinator to organize the rooms. Thirdly, another issue was the photographer. Roxy gave us a list of 3 photographers to choose from. Except for the photographer, she did not give us any local vendors to the Niagara region. (Later in an e-mail I was told that she does not work with any "local" vendors that are not Toronto, this should have been brought up before the deposit was made). My fiancé and I decided on a photographer and actually got to meet her at the tasting. There were multiple packages that you could choose from. We chose the most expensive package, which was around $2,000 CAD, this was "package 3." My father, the one paying for the wedding agreed and I thought that was the end of it. I was happy, we have a photographer! This was not the case...Roxy sent me another set of prices where there was a package 4 and the price increased $300...I was confused and did not know what happened between our meeting in person and

I was then introduced to Sonia who would help me during the wedding planning process. Jasprit was well organized and a great communicator. She was aggressive in getting the resort to fulfill a benefit missed by their sales team. She was firm but also fair in the entire process. I worked with Sonia closely during the months and weeks leading up to the wedding. Sonia and L'Escape were ready to answer any question I had, while also guiding me on what I should consider as part of a destination wedding. I never felt overwhelmed. I felt on track and with regular reminders, deadlines, and meetings. Sonia and I talked on a regular basis. And she was always quick to respond to my questions. Since I was not having an extravagant wedding, I was really worried about sticking to a budget. Sonia helped break down all finances to help me understand where my costs would be. With L'Escape'e fantastic wedding planner spreadsheet, I was able to have at a glance look at how much everything cost. She communicated with the resort and would get options for me to consider. She recommended vendors and timelines. She reminded me to consider other elements and factors for each event. She helped me find ways to cut costs while still keeping the integrity and feel of the wedding. All the planning and pushing that Sonia encouraged me to think about led to stressful weeks leading up to the wedding. But when I got to the resort, I was not stressed. Everything was done, thanks to Sonia and L'Escape's planning. I felt so fortunate that I was able to enjoy and relax during my wedding weekend. For any bride who has a busy professional life but doesn't want a full-time planner, I highly recommend using L'Escape's planning services. I felt involved and was given steady advice, but never felt like I didn't know what to do or wasn't part of the process. It was the perfect balance. L'Escape helped make me have the most magical wedding weekend! Thank you.

I assume it was an outside company? I'm not sure how it works but I remember the staff was extremely helpful. She lacks professionalism and doesn't know how to organize a special event or assist with fine details. At one point I remember she threatened to stop the wedding.. Lmao. If you plan on hosting an event there please consider this review. If you can get someone else to assist you in the booking/planning of the event then sure try it out but she is honestly the worst. She almost ruined my sisters event by yelling at our DJ infront of our guests.. Wtf? And she yelled at us as we tried to set up the room and mentioned to her that she was missing extra chair and setting for it. She deducted money from my sisters deposit when it was her fault all along. We have email confirmations as proof. We let it go because it wasn't worth it. However, the set-up (name cards/place settings/centerpieces) was at a glacial pace such that there was no time for wedding helpers to verify all hundreds of name cards were placed at the correct seats by M&O staff. A second consequence was that guests were unable to mingle in the reception hall any earlier despite the ceremony having ended early, and some guests were forced to wait outside despite the cold. Jordan attempted to offer alternatives, but the set up staff did not speed up the set up process, and guests continued to wait outside the reception hall in a standing room only lobby area (and expressed frustration about that). Name cards were swapped/the opposite of what the bride outlined in the seating chart, so that at long rectangular tables a husband/wife were sitting at opposite ends. The staff potentially were not from M&O (potentially outsourced from a different company) but some did not clarify seating, and as a result, mixed up all the food orders. Some individual waitstaff were quite good about verifying name card placements but others did not verify them at all. Hopefully no one had a severe allergic reaction that night, as the seating chart from the bride and the reality of where names were placed were completely different for some tables. M&O also took boxes of glasses filled with water one by one to set up (instead of wheeling out several carts which would have expedited the process) and set everything up extremely slowly. Staff also served only 2 plates at a time, with about 6-8 people being served at a time. At a large wedding, this was disastrous because it took more than 40 minutes for them to serve the main course to everyone. This threw off the whole schedule of speeches so in the end we were more than an hour behind schedule. They also expressed a preference for people to be seated while the courses were being served due to the tight space (the tables were quite close together because the venue should not have allowed so many guests in that particular hall/room), which is a tad unreasonable at a wedding with several hundred people. In the end, guests couldn't enjoy the photo booth nor mingle as freely, and the schedule was extremely behind because speeches couldn't go on while people were in the middle of being served. Not sure if M&O outsourced their waitstaff to a 3rd party company that night, but would not recommend to anyone unfortunately despite the food tasting good.
