Wow I'm not used to going to a doctor that doesn't run their business off a clock. He took a lot of time explaining everything. Having decided to remove my implants ( which after 30 years got hard and out of place) and pay for an expensive surgery without insurance I needed to be a bit chatty to feel comfortable with the doctor that was doing the surgery. He was very personable, patient with me and I scheduled my surgery. He's just a breast and wound doctor, no nose jobs or facial stuff, and really specializes in getting patients bodies to a better place and have you feel good about yourself!

The stitch job from the surgery did not heal well causing me a lot of pain. I went to Dardano to re-do it properly and stop the pain. He evaluated it and left me with every indication this was no problem and routine work for him. 5 months later after Dardano's surgery it hurts just as bad and I have an uneven pocket of skin that sags on the opposite side of my neck. As seen in the picture. He told me it was not a big deal he understood I was in pain and he said he could help me. If privacy is a concern for you well that's just not going to happen. He always has 1 to 3 students with him at all times, so on my last visit he told the student I came to him with an infection and he had to drain it. Where did that come from? Again this was one and a half years AFTER the original surgery. If it was infected and needed to be drained I would have wound up in the emergency room and not making an appointment on the phone then waiting 2 weeks to be seen for evaluation then scheduling an appointment to do his surgery 6 weeks later. Dardano's scar from the cut he made where there was a less than one inch incision was a good 3 inches long and was very bumpy and jagged. He began to push $40 a week visits to see someone who rents space from him to do Ultrasound therapy. This came out of nowhere. I told him I was not prepared to spend $40 a week for an undetermined amount of time. With that the office called me and said Dardano would pay for the first 4 visits. To his credit I appreciated that but I don't believe ultrasound is effective at all. I did however decide to get a second opinion because the scar was so bad so I went to a Dermatologist who recommended cortisone injections which sounded better to me than $40.00 a week ultrasound treatments and I wound up doing two treatments with her 6 weeks apart and I believe this is what saved me from the Frankenstein scar in the picture I added. He does not tell you about the $40.00 ultrasound treatments until after you wind up with a horrible scar. On a follow up visit I told Dardano I went to a Dermatologist for a second opinion and this agitated him. He sternly said "I am your surgeon speak to me if you want cortisone injections". Well I never knew about Cortisone injections for this and he never offered. He only offered $40.00 a week Ultrasound treatments AFTER he did the surgery and he does it so casually as if $160.00 a month for unexpected Ultrasound treatment is nothing. I called the office about his fairy tale story about coming to him with an infection that needed to be drained that he told the student and the excuses started flying all over the place to defend him. Well maybe he got you mixed up with someone else she said. He knew exactly who I was when I came to him and why I came to him. The office manager called me back two days later with even more excuses. She asked what can we do for you when she should have said the doctor wants you to come in to resolve these issues and then ended the call with your always welcome to come back to our office in the future as if I would ever go back there. Dardano is a plastic surgeon you go to him so you don't wind up with visible scars and sagging pockets of skin. So after 2 years I have the same pain, a visible scar that's still healing and a sagging pocket of skin that will never go away. And now to add more insult to injury he sent me a bill for the last office visit where he lied and made up that fairy tale story. This was a follow up visit that is not chargeable. I now have to call the insurance company and do more work to get this bill taken care of. Dardano absolutely does not care. That last visit meant nothing to him that I was still in pain and I had a sagging pocket of skin he was full of nothing but excuses and fairy tale stories. Just like so many other doctors these days its all about seeing as many patients as you can, the money and NOT the quality of care. I would never recommend him.

So after over 4 years since the initial liposuction procedure I've come to the conclusion that it…read morewas not worth it for me. Basically my worst fear has been realized that my face looks worse now than it did before due to the unevenness of the result and the 2.5 inch scar I have from the second procedure. After the initial surgery it was obvious that the left side of my sub mental area was much fuller than the other. I went to about half a dozen follow up appointments where I was told it was from post op swelling, fluid rentention and finally scar tissue. After being told it was due to weight gain, I asked the dr to look at my progress photos showing my left side has been fuller since the initial surgery. At that point he gave me a cortisone injection which didn't help at all. After a year of follow ups and wearing a compression garment for at least 12 hours a day I was finally told I needed another procedure to remove scar tissue on the left side. Although I was afraid of having another procedure especially with the same doctor, I ultimately agreed since it was the only way I would have a chance at getting the result I wanted without having to pay for a whole new procedure with a new doctor, which I couldn't afford. I assumed the procedure would be like the initial one and wasn't told anything to the contrary, but I was wrong. Instead of having the small half inch scars I had during the initial procedure, I had a two and a half inch scar across the entirety of my chin. This wasn't mentioned to me in the office but rather I realized it when I removed the bandages at home. I'm not sure which is worse, the fact that my left side was still substantially fuller than the right, or the large scar I'm left with that is still and probably always will be incredibly noticeable. When I brought my concerns to Dr. Ress' attention a year and a half ago he told me the only solution was yet another procedure. I couldn't bring myself to take another risk, so decided to wait it out and see it gets better. Well here we are 4.5 years later and its still the same. I also have little to no feeling on the left side and it will often start to feel swollen and hot randomly. I'm just heartbroken with this outcome. I spent money I shouldnt have and time in pain/recovery I'll never get back. Dr. Ress was always nice and to his credit offered another procedure as a solution, but I can't take the risk of it getting worse. My husband and I have used the services of Dr Dabbah for more than 10 years. We were referred by…read moreour primary dermatologist who had performed mohrs surgery to excise a growth on our faces. The recommendation of the dermatologist was to have Dabbah close and reconstruct the area where he had done his excision. By doing this, we would be ensured the cleanest and least noticeable scar. And indeed it was! Dabbahs practice is small, he has had the same receptionist, medical assistant and tech - which says a lot about the stability of his practice. He is never rushed, does an extensive presentation explained the results of your biopsy and explains (and even draws a picture) of what he plans to do. He uses a private outpatient surgery center and has a routine established there. His recent move to a new facility has allowed him to expand his space and design it in a more luxurious vibe. But don't forget- much of what he does relates to aesthetic considerations, he also addresses excisions reconstructions and closure. I have had 4 done over 10+ years and am quite pleased. I am able to maintain my youthful appearance, relatively scar free.

When I came back for the second consult, Dr Berman was rude and yelled at me for coming to him with insurance. He would do the procedure, but was no longer willing to charge insurance, rather he wanted out of pocket payment. Maybe he was simply having a bad day, but from the time I spoke on the phone to make my first appointment to the first visit and undergoing the tests he asked me for, I was lead to believe that he would do my procedure under insurance payment. This had already been deemed necessary and approved by insurance. In addition to all this, my consults and tests were payed by insurance to his office, but Dr Berman's office still sent me a bill for the visit which the insurance said he should not have because he accepted the insurance payment. Dr Berman might be a good doctor from what the reviews say, but he is certainly lacking some follow through with what he promises and he is a very greedy doctor. I wasted my time, ended up with a bill, and was forced to start the process with a different doctor who did this procedure very quickly without any issues.
