I found Dr. Rosenstein's office by first searching local. I then narrowed my board certified doctors choices down by reviews, pictures, and some research. I gave this office a call and had my questions answered. I scheduled a consult shortly after. The consult costs $100 but if you proceed with a service, they will deduct this cost from your final bill. At my appointment, I found the lobby to be very calming. The staff here is phenomenal. Everyone I spoke to throughout this experience have been kind, personal, and supportive. Dr. Rosenstein has a unique character where he makes a lot of jokes but he also is very thorough with his work. He answered all of our questions and explained the procedure in great detail while going over his process, risks, and recommendations. I decided to move forward after my consult as I felt very comfortable in a very uncomfortable setting for me (never had surgery before). Day of my surgery - I was nervous but as I got to the surgery center, the nurse even told me that I chose a great doctor! She works for the surgery center so she is unbiased. She said she sees a lot of plastic surgeons and Dr. Rosenstein is amazing. This put me at ease day of. After the procedure, the doctor called to make sure I was ok and made sure we were following our recommended post meds and exercise shoulder shrugs. Barb needed a thorough eye exam because of the damage plaquenil can cause on the eyes especially blindness. Dr. Bellotte had an amazing amount of positive reviews online. We were very impressed with the waiting area and the well organized check-in process. When Barb was called into the exam process, she underwent a variety of tests on a wide variety of eye testing hardware. The team member, Meghan, was very caring and explained each test to us. We understood what was being collected and why. We appreciated what we learned vs being kept in the dark and uninformed which has been my experience with most medical testing. Barb's eye pressures were tested a couple of times. When Dr. Bellotte can into the exam room, we found out why. Dr. Bellotte was very thorough going over all the tests and providing results in non technical human language. His team found that Barb's eye pressures are very high. Barb is sufferring from glaucoma which could lead to a loss of her eye sight if not treated. We also learned that we should inform our children because this condition could be passed on to them. Another thing that our kids can complain about when they are angry with us. Dr. Bellotte's genuine concern for Barb's condition was very appreciated. We felt very comforted by his manner. I could see that Dr. Bellotte put Barb at ease as he explained how he could make things better for her eyesight. Dr. Bellotte explained that he could provide treatment in his office with an eye 'degunking" laser. It would be several treatments but her eye pressures would be in normal ranges. Barb also was provided a treatment plan for helping her overcome dry eye issues. Thanks to Dr Bellotte and his team for helping Barb avoid a loss of her eyesight. They are short handed and apparently only speak with new patients (to schedule) on Fridays. I had to leave my name and they would call me on Fridays. I finally got an appointment but on the day, Dr. Lam was unable to be in the office so my appointment was canceled. I called back and got another appointment and I'm glad I persevered. Once I was there, I met the most gracious office personnel. The technologists were extremely kind and thorough. Nobody rushed me through anything. Everyone cared about how I was feeling at the time. I have a number of tests that I must do annually so my appointments usually take a long time - - this was a pleasure. When Dr Lam came in, he explained everything to me and answered absolutely all of my questions. One week later I had to go back for a procedure that sounded a bit scary.
