Matthew came to my door to ask if I needed a tree removed. I wasn't even aware I had a downed tree. We settle on a price and he got to work. He gets the tree mostly cut up that first day. Then asks for a cash advance so he can pay them guy working with him. So Matthew comes back the next day, now with a different helper. They load up the trailer to haul stuff away but doesn't finish the cutting up of the tree. Since he was close to being done, I didn't mine paying the remaining amount. He had bragged about getting the whole tree down and cut up in an hour so what he has left won't long. And that was the last I saw of Matthew. I have a couple texts of him making excuses and a voice message he sent me. He is no longer responding to text messages and appears will not be coming to finish the work. He's posting about all hear new jobs without finishing mine. read more
