HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL! I HIGHLY recommend T.J., the owner and massage expert therapist @ Rain Temple! I will come back every time! When in pain he is the only one who can find those epicenters of pain and work out my "Fossil Knots", as I called them.
This professional has indeed a true call for massage therapy. He's definitely adapting his treatment and tailoring his technique on YOUR body and YOUR specific pain/problem.
Deep tissue like NO WHERE ELSE.
You know those massage therapists (I kept on going to some nice Asian ladies, Groupon cheaper stuff, most young, otherwise trained above average but completely weak-handed. I felt like I am being pet. I needed way stronger pressure on all those "intricacies" packed with
toxins: tight and painful spots feeling like stones glued under your muscles and bones. Specifically upper area, between omoplats and spine in my case.
No one could really FIND and FIX those like T.J.
True Mastership.
Also very relaxing, calming, respectful person. You will never meet someone with such common sense, such a relaxing vibe of kindness & comfort coming from him. I used to be HIGHLY uncomfortable with massage therapists touching my body. Maybe some were just doing their job and had their specific technique I wasn't aware of but I variably ended up feeling tensed many times... as in... "is this normal?"-sort of way. Not w/T.J. though; he is open, honest telling you what is he going to try on you, name of muscles package he will work on, name of method and what involves. Felt so cool and "at home" from first visit and I was right to feel that way. He just makes you feel cozy and comfy and then takes your pain away as if he's scooping for it w/a spoon, not even kidding.
I trust him 100% and recommend him to all of my friends and family.
HIS STUDIO is such relaxing ambiance you feel you just stepped out of reality to take a break/vacation on a distant planet: neon sort of purple lighting, so clean and smells like heaven. Really "cosmic" atmosphere. Love it.
Book T.J. from Rain Temple, for real. He my personal back healing Magician/Guru/Maestro and recommend him with confidence to everyone I know and experiences pain of any sort. He will NOT disappoint, he will find those issues nobody found before and fix them. I have a mild scoliosis, I've been lifting a lot, both at gym and day job so over the years my back pain worsened and came back more frequently bringing me to those days I couldn't even turn or do basic movements. I am a dancer, actor, been doing yoga and ran marathons so I was ignorant enough to think for many years that massage therapy is not going to help much. I also had some unsatisfying experiences when introduced to it so I gave up hoping to live painlessly in my later years. However all that until I found Rain Temple and T.J., recommended by a friend who got great prenatal massage from him, so I thought I might as well give it a try (since he has such accessible/affordable prices). I feel so grateful to have found him now!
He knows his field, he knows body anatomy like an MD and will even tell you the names of bones/muscles and ligaments in Latin. Not that I will remember and not because he wants to impress with his knowledge. He is a very humble person but obviously because he is so specific, precise and rigorous in what he is doing. He will not refuse you unless he is totally booked, appointment back-to-back and He CARES. If I call him with a new problem (like a tight muscle hurting from whatever random accident we will take steps into finding different approaches to every situation.
I get the sense of him continually improving his ways/techniques etc. and upon conversations I understood he's constantly studying the body architecture and he never wants to stop improving his knowledges. Respect for that.
If you can find him available right away just go to his Broadway location and consider yourself lucky and about to get "healed". I believe he does home/visits too but I personally am very much ok w/his studio since is closer to my workplace.
BTW, I try to work my schedule around HIS busy schedule however he's so nice and will never schedule me "next week" when my pain in "now" but try to accommodate/adjust his schedule (once he skipped his lunch time for me, I felt bad. For a second. I'm kinda selfish when in pain I must confess. I was however so grateful afterwards. I'm also always tipping well cause his prices are so low for the life saver he is. He really deserves it.
Hope he will train/hire a disciple/student and had him/her follow his steps/ help @ RT studio because a lot of my boys and lady friends already his clients and they recommend him with enthusiasm to their own web of friends too! read more
