these guys should be ashamed of themselves!!…read more on august 18, 2021, as i was leaving my home in south windsor to go to work, i noticed some tree trimmers trimming a neighbour's tree across the street. it turned out the company was green tree ontario and they have been contracted by the city of windsor to trim all city trees over several years. they provide no notice to homeowners that they are coming, so most people are unprepared!! that day, i didn't realize they were trimming all city trees fronting the homes on our street (including mine) or i would have stayed until they were done. when i got home i was just devastated as they had destroyed the beautiful canopy on my mature norway maple that had taken some 60 years to grow!! they cut back two (2) healthy, main limbs that were around one foot in diameter as well as several smaller limbs that did not need to be cut either!! (see photos.) they also ridiculously over- trimmed my neighbour's large maple two doors over!! i called the city of windsor's forestry department, and a few days later and a supervisor came by to survey the damage. he could see the mess they had made and he tried to console me by saying that some of it would grow back. he said he would speak to the owner but unfortunately the damage was already done and you cannot fix it!! unnecessarily cutting back major limbs also significantly shortens the life of a tree since it will eventually form a cavity allowing disease to enter the main trunks!! beautiful trees also add significant value to your property, but not when they are ruined by over trimming!! do not hire these guys since they do not know (or care) what they are doing!! the city of windsor needs to find a reputable tree trimming contactor, asap, before these guys destroy many more beautiful trees in our city!!

I am a senior citizen who moved to Southfield in January and contacted Brian at Ross Lawn care for snow removal. After a number of plowing services we had a misunderstanding about an increase in the fee due to over 2 inches of snow on the driveway. We discussed this and although I offered to pay the additional fee I understood Brian to say to forget it since I did not know about the schedule of charges. Since then we had the recent blizzard of 8 inches fall and I texted him about plowing again but after many days, he ghosted me and left me stuck with a driveway full of snow. I have tried to reach him with more than a couple of phone calls and more texts and until the last all of my communications were respectful when I told him to put his big boy pants on and call me, and with me still offering to pay up on the disputed past charge if he felt I owed him. Nothing! I hope he reads this because he won't be able to deny any of this.

When I spoke with him I could tell he was a very upright type of guy and would also do a good job. He told me he had commercial mowers and wouldn't be able to get inside a 3 foot gate for a smaller area that needed mowing but the majority of my lawn could be accessed so I'd told him to come by and do the estimate anyway but that I'd call him back if I found someone else. I found another company that came out in the evening and I completely forgot to call him back. I was swamped with work but there is no excuse for me not calling him back. I added to his workload. Brett came by and saw my lawn was cut; he called me and spoke with me very professionally. There's no shadow of a doubt that I would call Blue Valley Lawn again to do any kind of lawn or landscaping type of work and expect the best.

It was now leaning on my neighbor's garage. Ignacio came with the appropriate equipment to do the job safely and efficiently. While they were there, they identified another large tree next to my house that had termites and was unsafe. They were able to remove that tree as well and I feel safe going into storm season. His crew cleaned up the yard prior to departing. Several of my neighbors came by and asked about his services. He has now done several jobs on my street and everyone is happy. Then they proceeded to move their truck again after I asked, parking right into my tree. My pine tree is so old, once they hit it, branches came down. The "owner" was super rude and had no customer service "what-so-ever".. I say owner bec when I called the number to complain, he called me back and said "I'm right here" so obviously this is just some guy and his boy cleaning up leaves and not caring about the trees or what they're doing to peoples back yards. Telling me "you don't own the yard" when really I do I own my condo and the yard in it. They could have raked the leaves over to the hose, they were already by the street... they finally left after the complex asks them not to hit my tree and said "oh we were only doing this as a favor.."!?! A favor to who because you definitely didn't do us any favors. We just had that concrete redone and carrying charges were raised because of it. And instead of backing the truck up and finishing the job, they decided to say "fuck it" and take off. lol. Great company. #NOT
