Dad & Mom are very much alive at 88 & 85 respectively, my 3 brothers and son, all are in Plant City. PC is still small with no parking meters downtown! And there's the annual Strawberry Festival that has hosted CW singers like Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, George Strait, & Jerry Lee Lewis. Because PC is small, there's not a whole lotta Apartments available. The quality of which also varies widely from 1 Star to the 5 I am assigning Townsgate Apartments. There would & will be many that would argue my rating. But the majority would not have my background, beginning with having grown up in PC, lived in apartments over a period from 1973 - 2019, from California to North Carolina to Texas to California, PC (2001), and most recently in JAX, FL (2015 - 2019). I have lived in Studio Apartments to Luxury Spa Resort-Style and everything in between. The key difference with all of them considered is by far quantified by the "Character, Professionalism, Courtesy, Attentiveness, Personalities, Attitudes, and Dedication of the Property Management Staff, who exemplify daily, being Accommodating to the thoroughly vetted Candidates blessed to be approved and awarded with Resident Status!!! Luck and lucky are not in my vocabulary. I have been richly blessed to have so quickly acquired a 2 BR/1 Bath Apartment, on the 2nd Floor (preferred), at Townsgate Apartments. From the "get-go" to the "Grand Finale", Faye Reynolds was instrumental in providing in the manner of the above listed attributes, precisely what I was looking for regarding my "Coming Home" Apartment Residency hope and desires. THANK YOU Miss Faye!!! For the Cost, Demographic Location, Amenities, and the stellar Staff, ALL taken into consideration...Townsgate Apartments is "Hands Down", the #1 Choice, deserving of my 5 Stars Rating!!!     I wanted to give another update since my lease will be up next month…read more One of the false cabinets directly under the kitchen sink has magically fallen directly on my foot and broke out of no where, um okay? I placed a work order again for my refrigerator because it has constantly broken on me multiple times causing my food to spoil on more than 4 occasions... HOWEVER, the very next day maintenance actually came and fixed every problem in the apartment! I'm honestly shocked and very pleased with this. Not sure if there are new people working or not but everything is finally in working order. Hopefully it'll stay that way. The gate has been fixed last month and also working so far. Noise complaint is still the same, or maybe a little worse. I went from hearing my old neighbor singing all day to a couple arguing and stomping almost every few days . You can hear front doors slam and people's conversations as well. I think management may have gotten better since the last time I've dealt with them but not everything is 100% perfect, at least it's much better.

My AC has now been out 7 days despite maintenance coming constantly and telling me it was fixed. Not. Then, I noticed that at the offices something changed. I don't know if there was a new manager or supervisor, but they no longer provided regular cream for the free coffee--it was all sugary crap. I was told this was because the new manager wanted the coffee bar to be more "bougie!" Also, the attitudes of the staff down there has changed. Just not as friendly and have a "I don't give a shit" attitude. So in summary, I was thrilled to live here for 2 years, and now I must give a 1-star rating where 4 months ago I would have given 5 stars. And by the way--My AC is STILL OUT!!!

    Okay so it's been a sh*t show since the beginning. From…read morebeing told an apt I put a down payment for was no longer ready. To being told moving into another.. then day of move to that one, it wasn't ready, then was told Oh that one u wanted is ready to move in to. We can transfer you... smh ‍ literally moving here has been a sh*t case! My apt was infested with FLEAS. I was getting hit so badly. Then I'm told I need to get out for 5 hours plus my pets.. smh where am I going to go with my animals for 5 hours? Smh let's be real.. I ended up taking care of the problem myself, but guess what? They're still lurking. Smh Then.. Getting bills that don't even belong to me was real comical, and being told I had to pay it. I spoke to the company and the guy was like you don't owe us anything we don't even have an Acct or anything allocated with ur info. Hmm go figure! #fraud Now this..... But excuse me roaches!!!? And HUGE roaches oh no!!!!!!! I found 3 tonight!!! 3! One in my baby daughter's room, another near the sliding glass door which makes sense, bc it's connected to the outside patio area... but a 3rd just now in my freakin bedroom!!!! This is NOT okay!!!!!! How am I supposed to sleep??! Now I'm going to fear a freakin la coco rocha is going to crawl into the bed w me, and bring it's family or posse! This is NOT okay!!!! These roaches were not small they were large!!! && of course there's no food or anything, only thing is close to this pond thing here.     the new name and new management are worse then the previous one…read more It took management 4 months to issue me a lease, Two months to fix my dishwasher, I asked that management alert me when someone would enter my apartment on FOUR different occasions. No one told me. The manager blamed the fact she didn't know how to speak Spanish as the reason my request was denied. It also took four service requests to get my dishwasher fixed. New management is not empathetic as to the struggles I've had with their incompetence, waiting for weeks and months for an answer. I was also promised credit for my inconvenience, and after reaching out to them six times, saying credit in several conversations, now are denying that I even have the right to it.

    You are discriminated against by Ixchel. You can have animals ESA registered and you're harassed…read moreabout them. However there's new people who moved here, and have a large breed restricted dog, and they don't deal with any harassment. They weren't even told their dog MUST be ESA certified. They were just told, oh you're okay, just pay a pet fee. Smh now let's talk about the lovely community here... The upstairs neighbors have traffic all times of day from night-early morning and the whole apt building reek of marijuana nothing is done. Then when you have company over they complain bc your apt smells like it, and you don't even smoke. Smh Another fun one. the drunks upstairs where the man beats on his gf. You can hear her screaming and crying also with their baby! The manager, she picks who she "likes" and who she doesn't. Police have been called on for years now for the same issues, and NOTHING is done. Sadly Ixchel really renews their leases. No joke! You can pay your rent on time, never late and she really will say I'm not renewing your lease. When you move out you're harassed even more big time! Charged for everything! When you have done nothing wrong! When you move in, they don't even do a proper inspection. They leave things broken, but it's your job to put in a maintenance request. Side note, the maintenance crew actually are prompt and really great! Oh and guess what!? They now have a referral program! So tell all your friends how "wonderful they are here" haaa They apt manager Ixchel will literally play Buddy Buddy with you, then talk major crap about you!! Another thing they do this meter water measure thing quietly. Not one place I've ever lived has ever done this. I've asked others about it, and it's literally just so they can get more $ from you! Plus they still include your monthly water fee, and the extra $150-200 water meter fee... it's ridiculous!!

There is a large washer & Dryer hookup room that will fit your full size machines. Nice views if you have an apt facing the lake. Nice sidewalk wrapped around community to enjoy walks. Yoga by the lake every morning at sunrise. At night you can hear the water fountain flowing from the lake. Friendly family oriented neighbors. Wellness Weight room. Community club room. The community pool is nice.

    Moved out in October. never received security deposit back, never given a reason why. Florida…read morestatue states they are required to return deposit within 15 days or in writing provide a reason as to why they are keeping it or returning a portion of it. The former tenant then has the right to refuse their claim. Absent of that, after 30 days they are required by law to return the full deposit if they did not provide proper notification. Management had my contact information including a forwarding address. They also had my wife contact information. When I did call had to leave messages that were never returned was by luck I managed to speak to the manager after a month. She could not provide an answer as to what happen or if the check had been mailed. and had to look into the matter but then never followed up. I had to follow up again leaving unanswered messages till finally getting a leasing consultant. In 5 minutes she had the answer that they were keeping the deposit as we would only be getting $36.00 out of $1880. Claiming damage to the carpet. The carpet needed a cleaning, and they waited till we were out to do an inspection. They knew we were moving out of state and had a time frame. They still failed to provide proper notice to us as required by Florida law as to why they were keeping the deposit. Per the same law they are required to return the full amount of the deposit if they do not send notice. During the times I spoke with them not once did they state they tried to mail us the notice but it was returned. meaning no notice sent. Looking at possible legal action if the matter is not resolved.

My credit wasn't the best as I had a bankruptcy back in 2014 but my and my husband have stable work history having been at our jobs for 10 and 12 years same company, a local hospital. Maria who was the one who assisted us kept giving me the runaround that they are waiting to hear back from our current apartment, or our paystubs because they refuse to use the job number because they get charged and will not pay. Ok, they request paystubs which we have for years but no now they require our taxes for the year that I didn't complete because my husband and I got an extension till the fall. They tell us within five days of moving in we got approved but after this experience I declined as we have to make sure so we are not left with nowhere to go. The previous week I applied at a different apartment and got approved within 72 hours so we decided to take our losses and move on cause if this is how they treat residents we want no part of that.
